Hi guys,
I know there's still some things missing, like layouts for example.
I would have loved to keep the old version of AG Unit Frames up until I thought the new version was 100% ready, but 3.0 came out, so I had to put the new version up. The old version not compatible with 3.0.
That said, I feel that the new AG Unit Frames is much lighter than the old one, while being easier to configure, contains more modern features and so on. As soon as the glitches in the wake of 3.0 is smoothed out, I'm sure many of you are going to be pretty happy with it.
Regarding the missing layouts, the layout system was completely changed, which makes the old layouts incompatible. It is much better and dynamic now and allows for a lot more customization, It is unfortunate that I haven't had time to rewrite some of the old layouts like "classic". I really plan to.
I hope this answers some of your questions!

There is a problem where party members won't be created correctly if they join while you're in combat. This is a bug in the Blizzard interface code and won't be fixed until they release a new patch. This affects all unit frame addons.

With the Ace2 version I moved my combo points from underneath where all the Auras are in the way to over on the right side more like the Blizz UI frame, but now with the Ace3 version my noob self can't figure out how to re-write the combo points over on the .lua Anyone want to help me out?
Portraits are enabled by going to Modules -> Check Portraits. You may have to reloadui. After that you should find a Portraits tab under Unit Frames -> Player -> Portrait [Enable / Portrait Style]
I'm trying to figure out how to scrap together a layout as well.
1. How do I add a new Layout? I'm trying to recreate the Nyrine layout of old and adding a new layout to the same folder as ABF doesn't seem to work.
2. Portraits are disabled as was said above. How can they be re-enabled or is that one of the Modules?
3. Modules that are listed in the ag_unitframes folder are all missing in GUnit. They aren't being called correctly from what I can tell
4. agOptions is Red in the Addons folder when logging into WoW. This usually indicates a missing Dependancy, but the only ones it needs are ag_unitframes and Ace3, both of which are installed.
That's it for now. Will add more as I find it. Thank you for your help on this. It is appreciated.
Good question. SHould I go with Ace 3 or Ace 2?
Anyhow, is there any info as to when (or ever) there will be other layouts? The aUF_Layouts pack doesn't work with this new aguf version anymore.
the question then remains... should one just stick with the ace2 version for now or just switch straight to the ace3 version? :)
Can only use the Gunit options still.
Nothing seems to have changed.
