ag_UnitFrames
Customizable unit frame addon.
- How to configure the unit frames in 3.0
Press "esc" to open the options menu.
Press the "Interface" button.
In the interface options window, press the "AddOns" tab.
Select "AG Units" from the tree of available addons.
Press the "Open AG Units Options" button. This will open the AG Unit Frames options window.
(Alternatively, you can write "/aguf" in the chat.)
- Latest update
Hi guys,
I know there's still some things missing, like layouts for example.
I would have loved to keep the old version of AG Unit Frames up until I thought the new version was 100% ready, but 3.0 came out, so I had to put the new version up. The old version not compatible with 3.0.
That said, I feel that the new AG Unit Frames is much lighter than the old one, while being easier to configure, contains more modern features and so on. As soon as the glitches in the wake of 3.0 is smoothed out, I'm sure many of you are going to be pretty happy with it.
Regarding the missing layouts, the layout system was completely changed, which makes the old layouts incompatible. It is much better and dynamic now and allows for a lot more customization, It is unfortunate that I haven't had time to rewrite some of the old layouts like "classic". I really plan to.
I hope this answers some of your questions!
- Issues
There is a problem where party members won't be created correctly if they join while you're in combat. This is a bug in the Blizzard interface code and won't be fixed until they release a new patch. This affects all unit frame addons.
See http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=11829374079&postId=118282996524&sid=1#0
i can't see them listed in the modules ingame.
Unfortunately after my first dungeon with this I knew I had to get rid of it ASAP! I'm a warlock and my targets debuffs don't show the time remaining! X-perl (which I was hoping to replace because it was very bulky and filled with stuff that bugged me) made the debuffs I casted bigger than the rest and also displayed the time remaining on each of my debuffs (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see anything like this in the options!)
Anyways, I'd love it if you considered adding these to your unit frames, I would definitely use these if they had those features!
I'd also like to have an extra space above the health/power bars where you could put the name and mob info so it's not cluttering up the info bars. Also, the "level" tickbox doesn't seem to show mob type, like elite or rare.
Apart from those minor things, amazing work! Thank you!
And no, Grid won't do that job as well as Ag or PB would :)
Do you intend to include that feature soon?
Thx for the good work tho :)
I'm not sure why, but I'm having a problem figuring out how to display party's vehicle. This is a problem for the Malygos encounter on phase 3 as I can't see the drakes' health and energy bars. I have managed to see my own, but not the raids'. This is especially a problem because I am a healer and thus am a healer as a dragon as well, and need to see these health bars to be able to do so.
I suspect it's because they appear as pets, and because it is a raid and I have party frames hidden in raid they too are disabled along with my party's bars.
How can I see the raid's pets? Is this possible? So far I've only seen party pets and haven't figured out how to see raid pets. I'd love it if this was added in a future version of AG_Units as a separate unit, or that vehicle health and energy bars automatically overwrite the driving player's health and energy bars so long as he is mounted on one.

Can't seem to find the option to turn off the color change of health bars when health is lost, can anyone help? I've tried every option, it doesn't seem to be there at all but I can remember it in older versions.
Change line 254: gradient[self] = false
Change line 258: r, g, b = colorGradient(maxValue)
Hope a simple option to turn this feature off is added in future versions!
From a rogue's pov it would be nice to have an option so that the most recent debuff that you have applied shows up on the right. It would make it easier to spot the debuff that needs to be tracked during the fight. Also the combo points are pretty hard to see if you have buffs/debuffs set below the frame.
Awesome, thanks reeks!
I've always loved ag_Unitframes, but havn't been able to use it since I started using the focus target system in WoW.
While AG is running, if I try to set a focus target, I receive an error that reads something like "ag_unitframes has tried to perform and action that is not allowed to be used by addons. You can cancel, or disable the addon and refresh the UI."
Talk about sadface.
Updated to R.688 from R.686 and lost the ability to set my bar texture to 'Steel' from the Surfaces texture library, not sure if the toc tweaks had anything to do with that or not, small thing, but I do enjoy that bar texture, went back to R.686
Edit: In hindsite I'm going to try just adding the Steel.tga from surfaces to the images folder of AG and see if that works.
Edit 2: It didn't, and going back to R.686 isn't bringing it back in the options either, don't know what else to do at this point.
EDIT: Scratch that, my tip doesn't work fully. The health colours get stuck occasionally. Note to self: Don't try and be clever
