- Latest update
Hi guys,
I know there's still some things missing, like layouts for example.
I would have loved to keep the old version of AG Unit Frames up until I thought the new version was 100% ready, but 3.0 came out, so I had to put the new version up. The old version not compatible with 3.0.
That said, I feel that the new AG Unit Frames is much lighter than the old one, while being easier to configure, contains more modern features and so on. As soon as the glitches in the wake of 3.0 is smoothed out, I'm sure many of you are going to be pretty happy with it.
Regarding the missing layouts, the layout system was completely changed, which makes the old layouts incompatible. It is much better and dynamic now and allows for a lot more customization, It is unfortunate that I haven't had time to rewrite some of the old layouts like "classic". I really plan to.
I hope this answers some of your questions!
- Issues
There is a problem where party members won't be created correctly if they join while you're in combat. This is a bug in the Blizzard interface code and won't be fixed until they release a new patch. This affects all unit frame addons.
See http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=11829374079&postId=118282996524&sid=1#0
There is a PvP Marker available. You have to enable it from the global settings. Right click the minimap button>go to global settings> click "Show PVP Icons" or type "/aguf options showpvpicon" without quotations.
I love using AG, only have a question about setting it up when not grouped/in raid. Is it posible to get some sort of test bars to be able to see what you are moving around.
Further more, keep up the good work.
This is honestly the best Unitframe Addon I found and testet. Till now I was using X-Perl, which satisfied my belongs mostly, but now I prefere the compact style of AG_Unitframes.
Last weekend I found a bug in it, unfortunatly: it's not possible to rightcklick buffs to inactivate them. Being saved by a pala I had to wait the full 3 minutes till the cast disapears - very annyoing... had to go back to X-Perl... :-(
Have I configured something wrong, or can anyone confirm this bug?
I love this addon, its absolutly fantastic, the only thing missing is the information regarding changing settings on this addon.
Start by adding that you have to write this command to gain the Minimap button to change settings to this addon:
/aguf minimapAttach
And also, tell people that another way of changing settings to the player unitframe by Holding down the ALT + Rightclick button on the Player partyframe.
This is a great addon, i wonder why i havn't found out about this addon before! absolutly great! 9/10 i rate this addon, 9 because of the lack of information.
Hiya there
I would love if there could be an option (I've looked and havent found it but I'm quite the noob at this stuff so if there's a possibility to do this please tell me) that would let me change the colour of the target's border if it's an elite/rare mob (No simply having it in typing just isn't enough as it's not obvious enough, you have to actually look for it) and also change the colour of the border on the unitframes/target depending on what type of debuff it is so that priests who have different spells for curing and dispelling could easily see the what was affecting the person. Otherwise I'll have to change unitframes and I really don't want to as I love Aguf.
Profiles and battleground detection would be awesome. I.e. make the groupframes stay visible when in Alterac Valley instead of showing the entire raid set. Besides that, awesome! :)
Nooby question, how do I turn on party/raid frames? They don't show up... :(
Is there a way to, using the "custom" options, make the target uniftrames indicate if something is elite or not? -Or at the very least, color my enemy's level in relation to mine? (red for too strong, grey for too weak, etc?) Any info would be helpful! Thank you!
I love Ag_unit frames, but i want to have my portrait in a box above my health and energy, like ------
l : ) 1
1 1
--------
l 10.5k l
l 100 l
with my face being the smiley :)
so if someone could help me out in making that theme, id love you
Hey it seas i cant get this to work i type /aguf config and when i check the Show portrait it dosent come any portratie :S plz help
A while back I had a small problem with this. I had been moving frames around to get their positions right, when something went wierd. I was moving party pet frames, and the pet's bar I was moving was 'unsummoned' because that pet's master mounted. So, I continued what I was doing. Normally, I use the mouse to move, so I went to hold both buttons. Nothing happened. I tabbed out of WoW, ended it, restarted, and tried moving the bars again.
Once again, the pet was unsummoned. But I found what was happening. Another pet bar was moving around without me even holding down the mouse button. Instantly, I realized what was happening.
While moving any frame, if, for any reason, it should disappear while you're moving it, the left mouse button gets 'locked' into the move unitframe function. It cannot be used for anything else. The only solution I know of is to tab out of WoW completely, (even if you press Esc, you can't click on logout or exit) CtrlAltDel, and end WoW, then start it again.
I know this isn't a real giant issue because you very rarely have to move frames, but it bugged the crap out of me. The easiest fix I can think of is to show where unused frames would show if they were used, if they are unlocked (and not hidden). For example, even if you're not in a party, if the frames are unlocked, the location of the frames should appear so they can be moved while unused, and stop them from this disappearing mouse-lock bug. However, if you have the ToT's Target frame disabled like I do, it won't appear at all. When you lock the frames, these unused frames should leave.
In the Global settings -> Bar style menu theres an option of selecting blizzard style. I accidentally clicked that and dont like the new style of bars. Is there anyway of de selecting this? As when i try clicking on it again theres no result?
"Along with raid buffs problem I mentioned before, self buffs filters don't seem to be working properly either. There is no such option under "Player" for "Filter Buffs" is there? Or did I mistakenly go over it and miss it?"
... any solutions meanwhile? GREAT addon - but nerved bug!
Might sound like a nooby question but how do I get to the menu? I don't have a minimap button and when I do /aguf [anything] it doesn't help.
ag_unitframes looks very nice
The function show cast bar for pet doesn't seem to work for me. It doesn't show the timer left for my seduce on my Succubus, which leads to my poor succubus getting owned in Heroics. X-perl seems to have this function.
Is there any way to show an energy ticker for rogues?
hey . well im having this issue with AG when i use the focus function. when i focus im getting my focus target at my screen ( in the middle ) which is fine, but then im getting a castingbar down under my normal /target and i've tried to move it but i couldn't any who can help me how to move the bar?
just disable castingbar for your target frame then?
Could you prehaps take a screenshot and explain the problem more thurrowly?
Well, back at it again with the recreating the Party Target frames and Pet Target Frames and re-do-ing my UI cause I have to Delete ALL of the Saved Variables because I accidentally dis-abled one of the frames and had no way of getting it back... until now.
Went into the ag_Options.lua file and created what I wanted. =D
-- Needed to create the AceOptions table
local wowClasses = {"player","pet","party","partypet","target","targettarget","targettargettarget","raid","focus","focustarget","partytarget","pettarget"}
for order,unit in ipairs(wowClasses) do
agDewdropMenu.args[unit] = aUF:CreateDewdrop(unit,(order + 1),true)
end
Now I can Access the options for the newly created Pet Target and Party Target frames.
And having these changes added to the mod instead of having to manually add them in each time the mod is updated would be greatly appreciated!
(pet target code is here-->http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/9005/?cpage=2#comment_304834 The_Real_Agro has the Party Targets in the reply)
