ArkInventory
ArkInventory (for The War Within)
:boom: Please ensure you are using the latest alpha version if you have the War Within client.
ArkInventory (for Retail, Classic, and Cataclysm)
ArkInventory's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
ArkInventory uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
- user configurable window width and height
- separate keybindings for each location for easy viewing
- assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
- assign categories to the bar of your choice
- unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
- sort each bar differently if required
- user configurable bars per row
- sell junk items automatically or manually (delete available via a keybinding or right clicking when at a vendor)
- random pet and mount summons. can also assign a group of them to select from
Key Bindings:
- Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
- click on Key Bindings
- scroll down to AddOns > ArkInventory
- bind the keys you want to use

:boom: The NoLib variant
it seems quite a few people are somehow getting the NoLib variant from their download client when they didn't specifically ask for it, instead of the full variant, and its causing issues as they don't have the required libraries installed separately. Please ensure you are downloading the full. if you see nolib in the filename then its the wrong variant, unless you are actually installing all of the required libraries separately as well. If you have to you can manually download the full variant from CurseForge, WoWInterface, or Wago.
:boom: Junk Sell getting blocked
While auto-destroy remains blocked, From 30960 onwards you can setup a Key Binding to manually sell and destroy your items. Note that blizzard require one keypress per item deletion, so if you have multiple items that need to be deleted you will need to press the Key Binding multiple times. A message will be output if you have remaining items that can still be deleted.
:warning: Ensure you have backup copies of your saved variables file
Sometimes you cannot revert back to a previous version without a backup, especially alpha or beta versions, so before upgrading please make sure you have made a backup of your saved variables file
Your saved variables file is normally located at ...\World of Warcraft\_client_\WTF\Account\yourwowaccountname\SavedVariables\ArkInventory.lua
It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate backups of your saved variables file. You dont have to do them frequently, just after you've made major changes to your config is probably fine for most people, but you should get into the habit of making backups because when it does corrupt you wont have to reconfigure everything from scratch.
If you have your download client set to automatically download alpha/beta versions you should definitely have backups.
A simple way to back up the saved variables file is to just do a copy and paste then rename the new file (using the version number of ArkInventory or the date is a good idea), eg ArkInventory-30900.lua, or ArkInventory-20191228.lua

Not sure if it is a widespread issue but when I have ArkInventory active on the 11..1 PTR today, it keeps me from clicking on anything in the game world with the mouse. Like targeting NPCs and using macros on the mouse like Middle Mouse Click or Mouse Button 4. Kind of a weird issue but when I disable Arkinventory I can use the mouse again.
When using ArkInventory with my Warband Bank open, ArkInventory will automatically grey out all items that are soulbound and incapable of being moved into the WB bank. The same behavior occurs when I click on the Reagent bank. This makes is easy to see the items that can be moved into these bank bags.
However, when I open my guild bank, it does not dim or grey out the guild bank ineligible items in my inventory. It leaves everything fully lit up. This is a bit confusing because it's not easy to tell which items are soulbound and which are not. And then when you try to move stuff into the build bank, it fails to do so since the items aren't elible.
Do you think you could add this behavior to the Bag's inventory slots when interacting with the Guild Bank? Basically do the same you are already doing with Reagent and WB bags.
Does anyone know how to configure the items that are tracked in this addon's LDB tracker tool? I'd like to be able to track things like Bismuth and other profession mats. But I don't know how to go about modifying what is shown by this LDB icon.
In reply to charleslaine: Nevermind my question! I found the answer in the wiki. To anyone else wanting to do this, here is the way to do it, according to https://github.com/arkayenro/arkinventory/wiki/LDB...
Item Tracking
add/remove items by typing /ai track <link>
Addon randomly started to refresh whole window after selling an item in game. How to disable this behavior? It leads to selling items when doing this swiftly
In reply to Janeczkov: Thought I'd offer a little help. I'm just a fellow user of this addon. Open up the configuration window and click General -> Actions -> Vendor. There's an 'Enabled' checkbox. Make sure it is unchecked. While you are here, go ahead and look at the other tabs and make sure they also aren't enabled. This should prevent this addon from doing things automatically.
I've noticed that a lot of addons have the 'auto-sell' feature. So this may or may not solve your problem depending on the other addons you have installed.
Why can't I get it to sort my bags in classic era?
Is there any place where people share their profiles?
In reply to oxed: That's a good question. I actually would like to share my profile. I've spent hours and hours setting up the categories and rules, refining the appearance and behavior of this addon. My current setup looks nothing like the generic setup, and I'm quite pleased with it. ;-) I wouldn't mind sharing my config with other users if there was a way to do this.

I have a couple of low level cloth items that are soulbound and currently being worn by my character. These items also show up in the Transmog screens. But ArkInventory is showing an interesting tooltip that I do not understand. The items tooltip have lines at the bottom that read...
Appearance (Item) Not Collected
Appearance (Items) 0 of 6
The words "Appearance (Item)" appear in gold text and the "0 of 6" is in red.
Any clue what this means? I obviously have collected these items. The tooltip just seems wrong. Also I isolated the addon so that no other addons were running, so it's definitely coming from ArkInventory.
The items in question are "Frost-Touched Legwraps" and "Bracers of Arcane Mystery".
everytime i open my bank it also opens blizzard's bags along with arks bags not sure if this has been reported yet or not or if there is a fix for it
I am just wondering if there is a way to autodelete soul shards?
Playing SoD.
hello when im trying to add items in warband or bank it doesn't stack on each other! instead its posting in new area any way to keep stacking same items plz?
Hello! Just wanted to report that the autosell feature doesn't seem to be working with the new Grizzly Hills Packmaster mount. Cheers!
Where can I read how to configure Arkinventory to EXCLUDE a Warbound item to get moved to Warband bank? I really would like to keep my Battle Pet Bandage in my bags. Thanks for a really great addon! 🍻
there should be a bag level ignore option for both cleanup and restack.
i dont have an item level ignore option but i might be able to add one.
Is it possible to add categories for gear in the warband bank slots? I'd like to have things set up so that alts can dip in and see what they can and can't use immediately, everything is currently bunched together?
Edit: sorted
Restack problems, latest version.
With option general -> restack -> "arkinventory: restack" enabled, if I click the "restack" button on my character bags then reagents are not automatically placed in the reagent bag (as they used to in DF). For example, I have a completely empty reagent bag (32 empty slots) but a stack of "royal ink" just stays in my normal bag
If I enable general -> restack -> "blizzard: cleanup" then it does work and reagents are indeed moved to the reagent bag ... BUT:
With option "blizzard: cleanup" enabled, if I click on the BANK restack button, the addon places ALL reagents in the bank, regardless if the bank has them or not. There is the option general -> restack -> reagent bank -> "deposit all reagents" but reagents are moved no matter if it's on or off. This seems to be a bug.
What I'd like is to have AI behave like it used to: If I click restack on my character then it moves reagents to my reagent bag and if I click restack on the bank then it should move only reagents from all my character bags that already exist in the bank.
