Profession AddOns
Due to the increasing data size and memory usage with each WoW expansion, the professions have been split into their own AddOns; you need only download the ones you'll be using. Each installed and enabled profession AddOn will load whenever it's first accessed by the ARL core.
The individual profession AddOns can be found here:
- Alchemy
- Blacksmithing
- Cooking
- Enchanting
- Engineering
- Inscription
- Jewelcrafting
- Leatherworking
- Mining
- Tailoring
Note that Ackis Recipe List will not work without the AddOn for the profession you are trying to scan. If you attempt to scan a profession that is not installed, you will be informed.
Where to get it
- WoW Ace - Alpha Quality
- Curse - Stable release

Known Issues
- When gaining a reputation level recipes for that faction will still appear in red when doing a scan.
- Recipe acquire information is slightly inaccurate. We are updating recipes daily as information is identified. If you find something inaccurate or wrong, submit a ticket here and we will get it updated.
Feature Requests/Bug Reporting
Read the Bug Reporting and Feature Requesting information before submitted a bug report or feature request. Posting reports in the comments is not the place to do so. Ackis had to turn off the comments at Curse.com because of constant bug reports and feature requests. Comments are for questions on how to use the mod, or you can see the thread on WoW Ace. Please follow these small little instructions to make our lives easier. The easier you make development for Ackis Recipe List, the more time we will have to develop other addons.
Bug Reports
Please use the WoW Ace tracker to file bug reports. Posting bugs in the comments is not the place to do it.
Feature Request
Please use the WoW Ace tracker to add suggestions and feature requests. Not all suggestions will be accepted: there are many people who use this addon, each with separate views. We will, however, try to make it as user friendly as possible...but when a decision is made please accept it.
Integration
Ackis Recipe List strives to integrate with existing trade skill mods out there. If you have a request for integration, please submit a feature request at WoW Ace. We make no promises to implement the feature at all. There is a limited API documented to interface with the ARL database. If you are a developer and would like more functions, please contact us on IRC. Currently, the mod works with:

Control-Shift-Click the recipe. If you have TomTom (or something that emulates it) installed, you'll get a waypoint arrow with information.
When I try to use CSV for the scan output, I get no results (no window opens with the text). The other options work fine. Tested with and without any other addons, and deleted and reloaded this one. No success. Am I missing something?
Excellent work... your efforts are much appreciated!!!
[Balanced Trillium Ingot]
It is not tell what to do for get it, it is all say 'World Drop' battle.net also told that, and they told, ti is a raid drop, and thay told what mobs that drop it. But could you make this addon usefull, please? And not just tel type of loot, but how to get it!
Balanced Trillium Ingots are created by Blacksmiths of skill level 600. The ability to make it is learned through a blacksmithing plan dropped by various mobs throughout Pandaria (URL to item: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/100865). It can be made once per day, requiring the reagent of one Trillium Bar. Making multiple Balanced Trillium Ingots in one day requires Spirits of War, which are created by disenchanting epic loot received in Siege of Orgrimmar (normal and heroic modes only). These are tradable and can be purchased from the Auction House.
To my knowledge, there are no mobs that drop the actual ingots, only the blacksmithing plans to learn to create them.
Does this help you?
Can't get this to download via curseclient? Any ideas?
This seems to show no Alchemy recipes for Mists.
I've been farming for an Inscription recipe (Astral Fixation) for a drop off the Ordon Candlekeepers for... a very long time. (months). Ackis listed the drop as only from these mobs. Last night, while getting the last of my balck prince rep from the Isle of Thunder, the recipe dropped off a mob in the Court of Bones.
Is there some way to submit a correction so that others know it's not necessary to bang your head against a wall for months on over-camped and over-farmed (rep giving) mobs? Becasue the recipe is likely a world drop and not specific to the Candle Keepers?
I am unable to ignore recipes with alt-click.
Getting this error since the update
<Stripped out spammy error output. -Torhal>
If you updated ARL without exiting WoW, this is why. Otherwise, your error is impossible.
New files were added to ARL; when WoW starts, it indexes all of the files on disk and does not recognize the addition of others while it is loaded.
Are you ever planning on removing recipes that are no longer in game? It's a bit annoying.
Recipes that have been completely removed are not in ARL. If there is a chance that someone is holding onto a recipe item that you can learn the recipe from, though, it is listed as Retired, which has a filter that you can un-check.
Design: Jade Owl
This is missing from the list for Jewelcrafting. Level 600 design.

Drops from Ancient Guo-Lai Cache.
There is at least one, possibly more, glyphs missing from this addon. My scribe is unable to make Glyph of Enduring Deceit but it does not appear in Ackis Recipe List when I scan my profession. There may be more missing that I haven't yet identified.
Please update Ackis with the recipes here that is unable to be found in the world anymore since cataclysm:

I have sent Blizz numerous complaints about the disabling of the alt list chat link. Doesn't look like they are going to reverse their decision on this any time soon sadly. I'm greatly disappointed they have taken this from us, as it has saved so much time and simplified things so much, when we did have that feature.
Would it be possible for you to instead build the drop down list for our alts to actually open up their tradeskill window, instead of putting a link into chat? BankItems and other addons have this ability with bags and banks, so I thought maybe it could be implemented in Ackis. If so, I would love to see this done asap, and in fact, I think it would be even better than the chat link itself.
Ackis has proven to be one of my favorite addons over the years. Thanks for the awesome job you do on it.
Edit: If you can't build the drop down menu to automatically open the alt tradeskill window, could you build a drop down menu into the current character's tradeskill window, which would allow us to choose the character for that tradeskill we'd like to see? This wouldn't help us to access tradeskills though, which the current character doesn't have but we want to see on other characters. However, at least if you can't do the drop down menu directly in Ackis as I stated above before edit, at least this second option could help us with some rather than none?
Technique: Glyph of Astral Fixation - According to wowhead at least this can drop off of many things most of them in raids but the scan shows ordon candle keeper.
Technique: Glyph of Eternal Earth - Seems to be the same deal, except it lists a lot of regular mobs but the addon shows specifically southsea plundererI think Ackis is one of the best addon-ons out there, however I would like to suggest something to help engineers using it. There are 3 parts to engineering which make it hard to locate recipes you can use, there is regular engineering, goblin engineering, and gnomish engineering. Being that I am a goblin engineer, I am sitting there trying to find patterns I can use but I come across so many gnomish ones, and in a lot of cases have to make long trips to a location to get there and find out I cannot use the pattern. So my point to al of this is, could you add something (a filter of some kind) to allow filtering of the gnomish versus the goblin engineering?
Does ARL hate Skillet?
