Friends list improvements: notes, remembering the information of offline friends, friend list syncing and backups, and a fubar plugin for it all
When will this addon be updated for the last patch? I've started a new toon and can't get the notes to work of the sync or even the drop down list to work. I love this addon when it works right.
When will it be updated to work with 3.3? I use it with FuBar and either the FuBar plugin is broken either the whole addon, I don't know. As another question, would it be possible to create a french locale (which I am ready to make as long as I have a base to translate)?
Apparently I have too many friends across my alts to sync properly, and the addon seems to be randomly deleting friends off lists to compensate. Is there some way to see the master sync list so I can cull out the useless friends to try and fix this problem? I'm tried of suddenly realizing people I actually like talkng to have been taken off the list while old alts of ex guildies remain despite my best efforts.
Yes, if you go in the WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables and search for the AuldLangSyne.lua. You can then see a list of the synced friends, the notes linked to plyers etc...
I have just updaed this mod today, 9-29-09, and now it will not do the drop down box when i mouse over it on my FuBar. How do I reactivate that please advise, Thanks
I just found this addon while looking for a replacement for RS_ClassColors which appears to no longer be supported. I love the feature set of this addon but miss some of the features I've come to rely on in RS_ClassColors.
Is it possible to do (through current options I've missed) or add any of the following as new features:
1) Show own player name in GUILE and WHO lists in a unique color other than by class (ie bright green) 2) Show the current zone player is in as well as any matching zones in the same unique color 3) Colorize the WHO list names, zones and levels as above 4) Colorize the BATTLEGROUND list names and levels as above
Any assistance to facilitate any of these would be greatly appreciated. I know these things are at least possible as I have seen them in "Colored Who List" and "RS_ClassColors"
right-clicking on a portrait now allows me to "edit note." i really like this feature, and notice that it show up on the tooltips of players as "note: ...". if i add this player to my friends list, the note icon added by auldlangsyne is greyed out, and there is no note. only when i right-click on the player again can i edit this note. i can edit the data file and see all of the notes i made on players, but nowhere in-game, as far as i can see (excluding the right-click feature).
is there any way the right-click, edit note feature can be combined with the regular note feature from auldlangsyne? using notes from auldlangsyne is a very useful way of commenting on other players - thank you for maintaining such a fantastic addon!

While editing/updating a calendar event description, AuldLangSyne causes the text input box to lose focus, often causing events to occur behind the Calendar, such as opening the friends list or map. It seems to happen semi-erratically, but usually every 5 - 20 seconds.
