This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

1.4.0 will be Automaton's final release. I've removed many modules for it which were obsolete, poorly implemented, or otherwise neglected. If they worked for you and you need them back, feel free to download the previous version. My intention is to at some point break Automaton apart into several addons that may replace the functionality in smaller and more focused packages. Keep an eye on my author page, at some nebulous point in the future they will begin to appear. I may disappear for long periods of time, but I always come back eventually :)

Automaton is a collection of modules which are aimed at providing players with tools to Automate frequent and tedious interface activities. Examples include: bypassing "gossip" text, automatically repairing items when at vendors, handing in repeatable or daily quests, and more. Refer to the list below of included modules along with brief descriptions.

If you would like a graphical menu to navigate the options, you can install a mod which displays DataBroker compatible options. 1.3.7+ note: Some extremely rudimentary code has been added to a couple modules for creating custom lists: sell/ignore lists for the sell module, and a list of players to always send invites to for the invite module. They're clunky and particular, but I left them in because they do function on a basic level.

Hold down shift when talking to NPCs to temporarily disable Gossip to change your hearth or whatever.

Gossip - Will bypass all kinds of NPC dialogues for you, such as repeatable quests or gossip text.

Group - Options for automatically accepting group invites.

Invite - Options for sending players invites automatically via keywords.

Repair - Repairs all your items any time you interact with a vendor which can do so. Can also be set to attempt to repair with Guild Bank funds first.

Sell - Sell all your trash (gray items) any time you click on a vendor. This module needs some love to be a little more flexible, but is still incredibly convenient.

There seems to be a minor bug in the auto repair module: on my Guild Master char I can not auto repair from guild funds, but get the 'out of funds or access denied' error instead. It works just fine on my other characters, however.

I have the same problem.

in modules/repair.lua i changed row #88 to following:

if module.db.profile.guild and IsInGuild() and CanGuildBankRepair() then

now it works ok

i think we need a serious update, maybe using ace3 with client 4.x i get a lot of errors, and of course some stuff doesnt work

Hey guys what's broken besides the "group" (auto-joining) function?

I'm not the author but I've been poking round in the code to try & figure out what does and doesn't work.

I know the auto accept summon/res, auto-sell, & auto-repair functions still work for me.

Anyone else?

My guild only turns on Guild repairs during raids. Would a feature that first tries to repair from guild funds, then my own money be possible? Reagents and water would be nice to autobuy up to a certain amount or stack size. I love your addon, thanks for all the work and time you have saved me in game =)

Hello dear users! I've crawled out from under my dank, mossy rock to proclaim that my existence persists and to reassure you of said fact. I tend to forget anyone other than me actually uses this mod. Anyway, I'm going to be working on a bit of an overhaul in my spare time, perhaps it will manifest itself here in some form in the coming days... weeks? months?

Now during the brief window while I'm paying attention would be a great time to beg for your favored addition/change/fix/whatever.
