FAQ
Q: I cannot move/drag my skills on my bars?
A: Hold Shift to move skills safely. You can also unlock your bars in the Bartender4 options, but using Shift is safer and recommended.
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.
Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons should automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars. For new keybindings, you can use KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!
Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.
Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

Thank you so much for the wonderful addon. Any plans to update for WOTLK PTR? Thank you again.
There seems to be an issue with the status tracking bar not using the whole bar completely when tracking a reputation. This seems to also affect the experience bar when active too. It doesn't matter if tracking Reputation is active or not. It shade fills about half of the total bar leaving the other half unfilled with the tick marks still present.
In reply to Farslaw: I've found the status bar has a tendency to wander to the right over the course of a game session - can't explain that one. I can't drag it and changing the position using the config panel by coordinates doesn't move it either.
In reply to Farslaw:
If it's set to wide, it won't use the whole bar, like you say. But I usually have it on minimum, which is 200 wide. Then it instead fills outside the bar to the right, so it seems to be fixed size instead of adapting to the actual width of the border of the bar.
It doesn't care about the position set within Bartender either, but can be moved from Edit mode, although some weird thing happens with snapping near the bottom of the screen, so I can't put it exactly where I want to, since it sometimes flies away so I can't see it and have to reset position.
Hi there. I've been using your mod for years, and there's an issue after this current patch relating to the position of open default wow bags.
Normally, with Bartender4 running, if I selected for the 2 default wow action bars on the right side of the screen to be loaded, my open default wow bags would offset to the left as if the bars were visible even with Bartender running. Then I can put my own Bartender4 bars to the right hand side of the open bags and freely view/move items to the bars.
With this last patch, this has now stopped. When I loaded in, my open wow bags as well as my quest objectives tracker were offset to the right at the edge of the screen, as if the 2 right action bars weren't loaded.
If I disable Bartender4 and reload the UI, the open bags are offset to the left with the default action bars showing. When I reload Bartender4, the open bags offset to the right on the edge of the screen as if the default action bars are not selected to show, even though they are selected in the interface options.
If there's any way to remedy this with your coding I'd really appreciate it. As I say I've been using your mod for years and it has always been the case that I can offset the open default bags to the left with the default side action bars selected, even though they are not showing with Bartender running.
Cheers.

Me too, same problem, couldn't find a fix...yet. Really annoying
In reply to samgamg88:
Have the same issue.
By default the blizz quest tracker/boss frames/bags/repair guy are linked too the default right side action bars, which gives them the offset location and the quest tracker moving lower in raids etc which imo is great.
Previosuly Bartender seemed to acknowledge the right action bars and so anything linked to them would be offset automatically. But since 10.1 it seems to ignore the right action bars so everything is right upto the screen edge and behind the bartender right side bars.
Thats how i see it at least.
In reply to Siven80:
I'm also getting this problem. Trying to move the quest tracker/boss/repair guy frames to the left in Edit mode, decouples them, and they no longer fill the space dynamically and instead overlap.
Same problem. Only fix is disabling Bartender, but I really want to keep it.
Big problem on WOTLK in Rogue when camouflage is activated bars 1 and 7 are linked, when I put a spell in bar 1 it also appears on bar 7 and vice versa
(sorry for my English)
Hi, thank you for this awesome mod. So far it has almost everything I could wish for - but there's one little thing:
I would like to have a pet ability that can be toggled on my hunter's bars (not the pet bar), and have it function just like it would on the pet bar. Example: If I put Growl on the pet bar, I can make my pet taunt by left-clicking, and I can toggle the ability be cast automatically or not by right-clicking. On my character's action bars, it always casts Growl, there's no toggle functionality by right-clicking. Is there a way to get this done? I've been used to have the pet taunt on my "real" action bars for better visibility and toggle it quickly when needed. :)
Hello, I play WoW on 2 computers. I created the configuration on the PC, then copied the complete WoW installation directory to the notebook and replaced the existing one. This has always worked great. Now I have created new profiles in Bartender and they are gone after copying. Does anyone have an idea why? Is there perhaps another directory with data? Thank you for your support.
.
Now it works. It was a copy problem!
One thing I've noticed is that, the xp bar and rep bar cannot be moved, and when I turn off bartender 4, the XP bar can be moved using edit mode. Also, even when you unlock bartender 4, teh xp bars and rep bars aren't even green. Anyone else seeing this issue? How do we fix it?
Anyone having issues with the Bag Bar not doing anything and the bag icon simply staying wherever it wants?
In reply to nonstoppjoliver:
that and the micro menu. would like a pet bar thing too, edit mode is weird with bt4 rn
In reply to nonstoppjoliver:
Yeah. For me the bag bar doesn't show up usually whether enabled or not. When it does, it's in some spot unrelated to where the moveable bar says it should be.
i love and appreciate the work, but you have had this micro menu bar disappearing in the last 2 versions that have been released with people sending complaints left and right.
anybody reading this having issues with the micro bar (in wotlk classic), just go download an older version. they still work just fine. im on 3 releases back and have no issues. just turn off your auto updating etc for addons.
In reply to Bloodson22:
Yes been having the same issue for a while now! ill be going back to the last 2 versions as well

Yup, would love an update for the micro bar bug. Also, it's just a minor cosmetic thing, but the arrows and number for changing the main bar have never been visible.
