FAQ
Q: I cannot move/drag my skills on my bars?
A: Hold Shift to move skills safely. You can also unlock your bars in the Bartender4 options, but using Shift is safer and recommended.
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.
Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons should automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars. For new keybindings, you can use KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!
Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.
Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

This is so annoying. Would like to know this as well
In reply to supermany2:
Same, but for retail. it's super annoying
In reply to SunfyreBlazing:
You can always move buttons by holding Shift when dragging.
However unlocked buttons will also save again in 4.13.0
Are there plans to add an option to bring back to old micromenu design? The new monochromatic one looks off to my poor old eyes.
Same for the bags, I always like to be able to open one specifically as I often know which bag contains what... but now the 'other bags' buttons are like 50% of the size they used to be because f@ck guys like me I guess.
In reply to Goblinounours:
Bartender just re-packages the Micro Menu from Blizzard, it does not choose the artwork. I'm not even sure the old artwork is still available.
That said, since Bartender just collects the original Micro Menu buttons, another addon (maybe Masque) could re-style them.
In reply to nevcairiel:
Thanks for the info! :)
I'll keep an eye on Masque.
I hope Blizzard will fix the flyout thing that doesn't work, 'cause that sucks, but it kills me to see how Bartender 4 is still so much more flexible than the best they could come up with.
Very weird: "Press and Hold Casting" *does* work on "Bar 6" but does not work on "Bar 1". I can't tell what's differently configured about them; in particular, they both have State Configuration turned off.
Same deal with mouseover casting; works on secondary bars, does not work on the primary bar.
In reply to durandal42:
Press and hold casting does not work for any Bartender bars (or any addon-provided bars). If it appears to be working on another bar, my assumption is you are using a keybinding and the keybinding is still pointing to the Blizzard bar, instead of the Bartender bar?
In reply to nevcairiel:
That would do it, and also explain why the secondary bartender bars didn't have visible hotkey labels, despite them still seeming to react to keypresses. Sorry for the noise!
In reply to durandal42:
The next update should make it more consistent by automatically migrating keybindings.
As of the 10.0 wow patch, hunter pop-out spells (see screenshots) no longer function if dragged into Bartender bars. Clicking on them does not reveal the submenu. This was working fine in 9.2.7

I'm having this issue too, as well as not being able to hold shift and move abilities. So now I have to place pets on my bars if I want to use them
Why exactly doesn't the button lock setting save? I'd appreciate it if my buttons would stop locking all the time. However, I really appreciate the continued development of Bartender. The new action bars are still not quite up to snuff.
In reply to CommandoCat64:
Unlocking your bars has several downsides, especially when combined with cast on press (the new Blizzard default).
You can still drag spells by holding Shift at any time without the buttons being unlocked. This overrides the lock and gives you safety from accidentally moving things around, and avoids the other downsides in combination with cast-on-press.
Would love it if i could change the width of the XP bar. The scaling option changes height too, but i only want ot change the width.
In reply to Siven80:
On retail you can change the width of the status tracking bar, which contains the XP bar.
In reply to nevcairiel:
Oh, yeah i see it now...guess im blind heh
