BlizzMove
This addon makes the Blizzard windows movable.
To temporarily move a window, just click the title of the window and drag it to where you want it. Shift + right-click resets the position.
Use ctrl + scroll wheel over a window title to adjust the scale of the window. Ctrl + right-click resets the scale.
Use alt + drag to detach child frames from their parent. Alt + right-click re-attaches the child frame. (Examples of child windows are calendar event info frames, and similar)
Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPcpkQjCTZU
Limitations:
- The default Blizzard separate bag frames are not movable - the default combined bag frame is movable
- BlizzMove does not disable Blizzard's built-in panel positioning logic. This means that opening, for example a profession window, might close or move other windows. To disable this default Blizzard behaviour, you can install No Auto Close.
- Due to a blizzard bug, there are issues when you rescale the map in retail. This cannot be fixed by us, and if you want it to work, let blizzard know.

Developers can hook their own frames into BlizzMove, to let us handle all the work to make your frames movable 🙂.
thanks so far for the addon, works good!
It took me a long time to figure out that this addon was causing the conflict. I had to manually disable and re-enable over 50 addons or so, although I did it systematically by disabling decreasing halves at a time.
The closest I can tell, the conflict is between your addon and agUnitframes, or SexyMap. It also could be another addon that causes select frames to be movable as a "secondary feature." I don't have any other dedicated frame-moving/resizing addons except BlizzMove.
Can you think of a way to better isolate the problem or conflict? I know that you probably can't even begin to think of a fix until you know exactly what the conflict is...I just really like this addon as opposed to similar ones, so I'd love to continue using it.
Any advice? Would it help to link you a list of my addons? Anything tips on how to better isolate the conflict myself?
i really DO NOT get how to save the minimaps custom position.
i can unlock it. i can move it. i can lock it.
but at every login it spawns at the top right cornor (right in my buff bar -.-)
can smbdy help pls?
great work so far.
but the save-thing is a bit strange - nvm i try.
would be great to make the minimap moveable and to create a menu to customize the behavior of the addon (position saving, locking,...)
maybe u could think about =)
"You can set a key binding to toggle moving of any frame (not just the Blizzard Windows). Just hit the key while the mouse cursor is over the frame you want to move."

Nice work.
Yes, please keep its moving as it is now; don't have it retain frame positions or anything else to bloat it.
EDIT: well, not so nice work. Have encountered serious bugs with this that corrupt the UI (have filed a ticket). Have encountered no such bugs with DragEmAll; will try Blizzmove again when things are fixed.
please try:
/run BlizzMoveDB = {}
to clear the settings and reload the ui
/console reloadui
I will make an option to reset the settings.
BlizzMove will search for the the child of UIParent and move that with the frame you have clicked. But as I said the main focus of the addon is to make frames movable not to rearrange your ui layout.
And I have started a different addon to rearrange elements of the ui.
The idea is to have profiles for different conditions like in raid, combat... to automatically switch layouts (move, show or hide frames)
Unfortunately I have very little time for the next 2 months so don't expect something soon
I don't really understand how, but my InterfaceOptionsFrame seems to be out of screen with one of my characters; I have no problem with the others. Could you give us a command to reset the Blizzard frames to their original position?
will do more test , but indeed I did notice here strange FluidFrames cpu usage, code looks horrible from the start with multiple events that scary me to use it ^^
Will look in your version im sure my comp will appreciate it ^^
I like how FF higlight frames because yu have to highlight and release a frame to validate an entry, your method instant moving as several caveats, if moving a frame by mistake it will record it for nothing, difficulties to move stacked frames, low accessibility or very too basic, its not lightweigth method but more macro method, provide something that should pwns FF ;)
hope it help, keep it up on that project always very handy =)
-Any frame I mouseover and hit F11, I see in chat log Frame: but nothing much, no frame name or so
Yes a bug in the latest version. It should show two frames.
-Difficult visibility, nothing that shows if we are moving a frame, which frame is found after pressing F11
-Tried to move a buff icon but the icon was moving only vertically :x
BlizzMove is not meant to be an addon to rearrange elements of your UI.
It's just an addon to make frames moveable. I don't want to add any overlay frames or something like that. I jut thought I leave the very simple function to move other frames in the addon but if it does not always work maybe I should remove it.
-Mouseovered a Dominos bar, hit F11 then an error popped
ok, what bug?^^
some issues:
had a keybind F11

Too much bug I think yet to be usable, I think you should review it
But there is a problem i think ... my english is bad will try it to explain :p
if i move the default blizzard frames around and if i log out and login, then the frames are not at there default position bevore i have drag them around.
Can you make an option, that the frame positions will be restored if i logout?
which's the only thing I want to move...
