Broker_LFD

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Displays the status dialog from an LDB instead of the minimap icon.

Also, thanks to Antiarc, display a nice tooltip showing how long a role can expect to wait for a group, also shows a text based status for each roll for your proposed group.

probably already aware, but the right click doesn't seem to be working, I tried the latest alpha r53.

changed line 197 from

ToggleLFRParentFrame()

to

ToggleRaidFrame(1)

Which appears to have solved the problem.

Nice work btw, this is my favorite addon for this purpose, tyvm.

I just installed this, as an addon I was using (Broker_H3DungeonCooldowns) is no longer being updated (This information was one of the things I found really helpful with that addon). However, I do have one weird bug. Unlike ALL my other Broker Addons, this one's tooltip shows up in my normal tooltip location, not directly below the icon on my broker bar. It's kind of weird as I have my tooltips way off in the corner of my screen (as I really don't pay attention to them). Is this intentional, or is it a bug with my Broker addon?

NVM: I made a few modifications and fixed this (at least for me).

This unfortunately doesn't seem to work after 4.3. It only shows the icon on my ChocolateBar, but when I queue for a dungeon the THDDD doesn't appear and I don't get any info on how long I have to queue on mouseover. I would really appreciate an update.

Give the 1.3.4-beta2 a whirl, I believe that should fix things up for you.

That worked fine, thanks a lot for your reply! Great addon by the way, the only one I found that let me hide the minimap button without losing a LFD functionality, and it's even better than the original button, as there is no mouseover needed to see the group assembling progress. Thanks and keep up the good work!

With v1.3.3, same problem as below but when using an actual LDB display. This fails to show anything other than the dungeon finder icon with StatBlockCore (latest v2.68; works in WoW 4.1) in WoW 4.1 live, USEnglish client/server. No other LDB mod am currently using regularly has this problem (but I've seen similar problems in the past with a couple of mods like Broker_Professions).

I posted the issue in more detail a month and a half ago in ticket ID 10 on the WowAce Tickets page for this.

Just updated this, and it does not show in my fubar who is in the queue - THDDD info, have to hover to display the tooltip to show this information. Just displays the dungeon finder icon in my Fu.

Fubar isn't a broker display addon, if it happens to work with Fubar, great, but I'm not going to support fubar users, sorry. There are many great broker display addons if you care to switch to one, personally I use Fortress. And I think pretty much most, if not all and more, fubar plugins have broker counterparts.

i use buttonbin as broker display addon, but also can't see which class is already in the group. "THDDD" isn't displayed for me.
i already tried to uninstall broker_lfd and reinstall it afterwards.

@Velandris: It doesn't work with BG queues, only LFD. http://www.wowace.com/addons/broker_lfd/localization/ indicates that it has been translated to everything except Simplified Chinese and Spanish (although I'm sure the Latin American Spanish would be close). I do not know of any localization issues.

When I blew away my SV file I only received one error, it was from some left over code that I forgot to clean up. It's cleaned up now in v1.3.1, and I didn't receive any errors when loading with a blank SV file. Thank you for the report.

In my case, initial variable was following and made errors. (this is the first time I install this addon)

Broker_LFDDB = nil

Replacing nil with {} seems to be the solution (no errors but I'm not sure this is correct).

Just installed version 1.3 on my system and it ended up creating a lot of errors referencing Broker_LFDDB. Was able to stop the errors by installing 1.2.2, running that, then updating to 1.3.

It seems that it is not creating the initial variables properly in 1.3

Azmak: I haven't experienced any problems with it post 3.3.5. I actually ran it a ton this weekend as I rewrote the queue time and tooltip enhancements. Can you be more specific as to your issue with it post 3.3.5?

Sorry I didn't give more of an explanation.

As of now I sort of forgot what the error was. All I know is I installed this for the first time ever (v1.3) and as soon as I logged in with it my lua bug-catching addon (Bugsack/Buggrabber) said that Broker-LFD threw more than 60 errors per second.

So I just figured it had to do with the 3.3.5 changes to the chat frame.
