Addon Description

Bulk mail sending made really easy. Bulk Mail also offers the unique ability to automatically send emails based on rules you configure. This is very useful and powerful if you have bank alts that for specific resources. With a few clicks you can now send all collected items to the right alt simply by opening the send mail page.

Bulk Mail is originally written by hyperactiveChipmunk. NeoTron just took over the addon with his blessing and will work on moving to Ace3 and adding support for LibDataBroker.

Bulk Mail v4.0 Beta

BulkMail v4.0 beta is now available for download. The beta is a complete move to Ace 3, LibQTip, LibDropdown and other modern version of the libraries used. Please report any issues with this version so I can fix it. Right now the Ace2 configuration will be kept around in case you decide to downgrade. Note however that Ace3 configuration will not be downgraded to the Ace2 configuration.

Version History Explained

BulkMail 2 (version 2.x) was the version during Burning Crusade. BulkMail 2 (version 3.x) was the version during Wrath of the Lich King. BulkMail 2 (version 4.x) is the new Ace3 based version. BulkMail 2 v7.x is updated for Legion. Since it's rather confusing to have BulkMail 2 v3.0, BulkMail 3 v4.0 or similar, I simplified it to just BulkMail with a version. Typically the major version matches the current expansion (1 = vanilla, 2 = BC, 3 = WotLK, 4 = Cataclysm) although there's no guarantee for this.

Any possibility of adding the ability to send mail automatically when you open mail box? Please add in the ability to send all BOE greens.

Im using a broker bar addon and use 2 bars, one at the top and bottom. When I have this addon on the top bar everything works fine. However, when I have it on the bottom bar where I want it, it placed the Config window off the screen. Since it always opens the window down from the bar. Is there a way you can fix this problem in your addon or is it an issue with the broker bars? Mayby adding an option for how the windows are opened if you have to pin them to the bar on open.

For the destination editor, you used to be able to select general categories.

For example: Item Type - Gem

At the moment the menu tree seems to only let me select very specific things like Item Type -> Gem -> Blue, etc. Is there a way to select higher categories?

I'm having some trouble getting the GUI display of the destination editor as well. I've been reading that it's connected to the Auctioneer Slidebar, but I don't see the addon there. I have can see the Bulkmail options in the Interface-->Addons and I can also see my Fubar Bulkmail Icon, but clicking either the Edit Destination in the Interface and / or the Icon on my fubar doesn't bring anything up. The addon still works, but I need to alter some of the destinations and can't figure out how. What can I do to help troubleshoot this?

for me inbox gui scale and outbox seem to be different, i assume just the inbox is very large, the rest is ok. i have set the scale to 3.0 though to see any of the outbox and send settings so maybe its the other way arround

I seem to have an issue with Bulk Mail after the update, the /bulkmail configuration is not working, and i can't setup my autosend rules. I dont know if it is a conflict with another addon, but even if i turn everything off, and just enable bulkmail, i still don't have access to any options - any ideas?

Is there any way to include/exclude by item quality (white, green, blue)? I would find this to be extremely useful. I like to send all greens to be disenchanted to one alt, and most white items to be sold from another.
I tried messing with the Disenchant filter but it kept trying to send my enchanting mats not just the greens, even with the enchant mats on the exclude list

Been using BM for a long time, its great to see one of the best mail mods out there being developed again.

The new changes to the BM-Inbox are just what i have been wishing for a long time, many thanks for your hard work and turning this mod into the amazing category now.

No bugs so far in the latest build, seems very stable.

Switched over from the fan update, and everything is going smooth now. One amazingly annoying issue: If you have Norganna's slidebar installed (part of most auctioneer packages) the config button gets attached in there. That's great, HOWEVER, when the sliderbar closes, bulk mail's config is still anchored to it, and it goes with it.

With that, it is *almost* impossible to do any config work using the gui if you have slidebar installed.

By default, it puts a little slideout menu on the upper right edge of the screen. Stays hidden till you get near it. Wonderful little thing to place minimap style icons onto, in fact I wish more thing went there instead of the minimap.

I changed both BM and BMI to be data providers instead of launchers so this shouldn't happen anymore.

Each time that Bulkmail gets updated, it seems to gain more and more issues for me.

Three versions ago, it stopped accepting new destinations (the Accept button refused to acknowledge the mouse clicks).

Two versions ago, the "new destination" window refused to go away at all (requiring a relog every time that I clicked on it in the hope that it might work).

The last update caused it to refuse even to open the list of destinations.

This latest version (v320) prevents the game from displaying the normal "Send mail" window, so I can't even send things manually.

I've been waiting for these things to be fixed but I'm thinking that I must be the only one that gets them. Does anyone else think this addon is very unwell at the moment?

I would really appreciate if you could send any errors you get my way. I am using BM fine myself but there might be conflicts with other add ons or bugs I haven't run into. However also know that beta and especially alpha versions are just that - not stable. If you want a more stable environment run release versions for now.

But please do report issues you find. I recommend BugSack for capturing errors.

In the end, I gave up and cleared the whole thing out (including all of my destinations). The new version now works again, so it must have been some left-over or corrupted file somewhere. I'll have to put the destinations back in but, in the end, that's going to quicker than trying to fight my way through.

Thanks for your work; I kept with it because Bulkmail is so damned useful!

Do you have the old BulkMail2.lua saved variable file around still? (did you clear out the ace3 or ace2 config?)

In either case, if you could email WOWINSTALL/WTF/Account/<ACCOUNT_NAME>/SavedVariables/BulkMail2.lua to [email protected] that'd be awesome. Upgrading definitely should work since I haven't changed the format of the actual rules.
