Hey Guys - I got Cartographer working -

Go into your wtf->account-->Saved Variables and delete the cartographer.lua and cartographer.lua.bak

This resets your preferences which should take care of the "invisible map" problem.

im missing all the tower and GY icons from my AV map. Tested rest of the BGs they all ok its only AV. Looked throo options but couldnt see anything.

Can anyone tell me what ive done wrong?

Can we import MetaMap data? If so how?

where is the mining and herbalism nodes that we have found stored? I wanna back them up.

I also have the latest updates from WowAce for Cartographer, and I'm having no problems at all with it.

Check your folder installation -- maybe do a complete delete and re-install.

Not sure if it's really Cartographer doing it, but I get the following error after loading the world and after every zoning.

Welp Cartographer had a good run while it lasted but it doesnt seem to be working at all no matter what i do, doing the stupid "move your mouse to where the map should be and hit m and hold shift key and scroll up on your mouse" didn't work.

the "Fixed" LookNFeel.lua didnt work

downloaded all possible updates from ace files.

Still same dam problem

so its time to find a several stand alones to aid me in this tradegy. Good day

COMMON PROBLEMS: Problem 1: Map doesn't appear when you hit M Solution: Move your mouse to where the map would be, hit M to open it (even though you don't see it), hold the shift key, and scroll up on your mouse.

Problem 2: Transparency affects entire world map (cause of problem 1) and you had your background invisible before Solution: Get SVN and RapidSVN and checkout the SVN url above, it contains a fixed LookNFeel.lua that resolves this issue.

i don't have cartographer_herbalism/mining folder - just professions...and not seeing any notes for herbs or mining nodes - how do i get these to show?

Go to www.wowace.com/files to get the herbalism and mining add-ons -- place them in your main Addons folder.

I just currently downloaded Cart and upon log in, i get the message: Error with AceEvent-2.0 Upgrade Path. Please upgrade all your AceEvent-2.0 Instances to revision 33858 or install the Ace2 Standalone. I installed the Standalone but still encounter that error.

I also downloaded the cartographer update - and my map function isn't working at all. When M is pressed, nothing happens at all.

i have downloaded the updatet version for patch 2.1 and installed it but it is not working...when i klick M i only see the normal blizzard worldmap with absolutly NO cartographer menu???

This might sound redundant, but am I correct to assume you dl'd the recent Cartographer patch as of yesterday? Of course, or for future reference, backup the old Cartographer folder placing it outside the AddOns folder, then extract the new Cartographer accordingly.

First and foremost, I would try midgets way; holding shift and mouse scroll. Gl.

Installed and working. Love it so far. But...is there a way to disable showing my location to my guildees? As much as I like the feature, I prefer the occassion privacy.

Thanks a lot, that will probably help in future settings. Is there any fix for the problem I'm facing when I try and adjust Cartographer settings though?

The keyboard settings for adjusting your transparency is to mouse over the map and hold shift while scrolling the mouse wheel,. That should fix it for you assuming no errors.

I have the exact problem with the transparency setting and with your help I managed to get my cursor to the button that says, "Open Cartographer Menu".

To my dismay however, when I clicked the button, an error message popped up that states:

"Interface\Addons\Cartographer\Cartographer.lua:238: Dewdrop-2.0: args.LookNFeel.args.lock: "name" must be a string."

Hopefully someone can help me solve this or I'll be staring into a blank map.
