This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

this seems like when u play super mario for the NES or nintendo 64 or whatever and u find the cheat for 100 lifes...it just takes all the fun otu of the game.

Disabling cartographer's instance map indeed does fix the issue. However, would really prefer to have those instance maps available but i guess i'll have to keep them disabled till a fix is made for this. Highly annoying.

disable cartographers instances modules and the right clicking issue is solved.

Please fix. Right clicking portraits for menus still does not work in instances. I troubleshot it and found Cartographer to be the culprit.

Since 3.1 I have been having an issue where group and raid colors flicker from white to colored on my map whenever I'm first viewing it. Often they remain white until I zoom in on the portion of the map where my group/raid member is. Is this a known issue or is it perhaps culprit of another of my mods?

Just read this message from Curse.com itself before you lay straight blame on the authors of add-ons, or claim you'll never use their add-on again because they don't support "wow matrix". I personally do a manual update of each and ever add-on I have after a reading the forum notes a day or two after update releases, to see if it is worth updating at the time.

So keep your hate to yourself and move on. No need too spread it around.

It's a shame you cant simply explain your hate toward wowmatrix to those of us that use it instead of just outright being a jerk.

I know it's no skin off your back when I say I'm uninstalling and recommending others do too; you've made that abundantly clear.

It's a shame, really, considering how much they have changed and cater to the add-on authors.

Except for the fact that Curse and WoWI aren't being completely honest about teh entire deal with WM. WM has always been on the helpful end of thigns in my time. Like the other guy said, you obviously don't care if people are using this addon so what's another previous user lost?

Arrowmaster, it is very nice of you to kindly invite people (your own users) to leave just cause they use WowMatrix.
I guess no one of you is going to refund the users that donated money to you and the other authors and that now are forced to update Cartographer manually cause you have to win your private war against WowMatrix.
Thank you also for forcing the Mac users like me, that follwed you for years, to delete your addon simply because there's no working updater for our platform (pre-OSX10.5).

r2322 unfortunately didn't fix the right-click bug for me. Disabled the instance maps and it worked.

Im having a problem with the world map recently! when i open my world map pane i have a big black box in the back ground. sometimes its just there, other times its filled out black, and other times theres holes in it.

I dont know what to try since im not the addon expert, but i did try to disable a few addons to see. nothing worked :/

i don't get the wowmatrix thing. does it really matter where they choose to host their addon? Who cares if it takes a few extra minutes to download. Go have coffee and let your ass breathe. lets freak out over something that's important, hmm?
