This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

CARTOGRAPHER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED FOR 3.3!!!

DO NOT CREATE BUG REPORTS SAYING IT IS BROKEN!

There are no plans to do any major bug fixes for Cartographer (v2 or v3). If there is an update it will only be a minor fix. (It has already been this way since at least 2008.) Cartographer(v2) uses an outdated framework that will not be updated in the case of major breakages so Cartographer(v2) would require a complete rewrite. Neither of the two main developers (Ckknight and Arrowmaster) have the time nor desire to do this currently. Occasionally a new version might be released to include fixes made by other developers or new versions of embedded libraries.

Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the WoWAce community.

Battlegrounds : allows viewing of battlegrounds outside of the zone.
Coordinates : adds coordinates to the bottom of the world map of the player and the cursor.
Foglight : Shows unexplored areas on the map. replacement for MozzFullWorldMap or Unexplorer. Much more efficient, though.
Group Colors : turns all your party's and your raid's POIs into circles colored based on class, and shows a number on them based on their raid group.
Instance Maps : shows maps of instances.
Instance Notes : adds boss notes and such to instance maps.
Look 'n' Feel : allows you to change the transparency, position, and scale of the world map.
Notes : lets you put notes on the map, similar to MapNotes.
Zone Info : on hovering over a zone, it will show the levels of the zone, the instances in the zone, their levels, and the group size the instance is made for (e.g. 5-man, 40-man).

why did you download a new version on October 3rd?? the newest version was released 2 months ago August 5th. Sounds like you downloaded this addon from a non reliable source and when things went wrong, you came back here to complain.

I've uninstalled and erased all cart files... reinstalled from the curse site... log into wow and QH crashes... Is there somewhere I can get a more up to date version?

Completely erased all my Cart folders, logged into wow no cart....installed from this link psyn://addonservice.curse.com/AddOnService.asmx/GetAddOn?pAddOnId=3360 link, logged into WoW, cart is back, enter world...same QH error and version is still vr2323? What am I doing wrong? How are you installing it? Where is this mystical new version I can't seem to find? Not trying to be a pain but I feel like you think I'm being stupid and I'm really not...any help would be greatly appreciated.

They will IF you have the most recent version of both. We're seeing many error messages where people do not have the most up-to-date version of Cartographer.

What version should it say I just used the link in the most popular downloads section above to download and manually install Cart and it still says vr2323. I manually deleted every Cart folder in my AddOns dir and manually unzipped the new download there and I'm still getting the same error with vr2323 listed at the top?

I thought I had the POI issue but after Deleteing my savedvar .lua file it is still giving me this error when I log into characters:

If you update your Cartographer, it should work fine with QuestHelper.

That's not Cartographer 2 in the screenshot. You have accidentally downloaded Cartographer 3, which is an entirely different addon.

Hi guys, if u got any issue about this addon after updating the patch 3.22, delete file WTF\Account\"username"\SavedVariables\Cartographer.lua, and it will be working just fine!

I am having a problem with the Hrothgar's Landing zone. I fixed the issue of the errors, as described earlier. ("You can just get updated LibBabble-Zone library from wowace.com (especially from page http://www.wowace.com/addons/libbabble-zone-3-0/files/8298-r226/) and place it to Addons/Cartographer/libs/ directory to fix this issue.")

Now although I am no longer getting any errors while in this zone, I find I am unable (as before) to right-click on the zone map to set a waypoint or create a note.
