Collectinator
What it does
Provides methods for determining which mini-pets and mounts you are missing.
Where to get it
- WowAce - Development stage
- Curse - Stable release
- WoWInterface - Stable release
How to get it to work
Open up your companion window (pets or mounts) and click the scan button. This will open up another window which will allow you to see which companions you are missing, along with how to acquire them.

Feature Requests/Bug Reporting
Read the Bug Reporting and Feature Requesting information before submitting a bug report or feature request. Posting reports in the comments is not the place to do so. The easier you make development for Collectinator, the more time we will have to develop other AddOns.

Feature Request
Please use the WowAce tracker to add suggestions and feature requests. Not all suggestions will be accepted: there are many people who use this addon, each with separate views. We will, however, try to make it as user friendly as possible...but when a decision is made please accept it.

Integration
If you have a request for integration, please submit a feature request at WowAce. There is a limted API to interface with the Collectinator database. If you are a developer and would like more functions, please contact me on IRC.
I have the same problem, but I think I know where it goes wrong. Despite pets being account wide they are still 'assigned' to the character that finds/learns them and Collectinator only seems recognize the pets 'assigned' to the character you are on at that time.
If you're talking about the minimap part, I was curious about that, too. You can click the arrow at the bottom of the icon in the top right corner of the screen. That allows you to filter out the pets that you have found on the mini map. You have to do this each time you log in, at least as far as I know. I haven't fiddled around with settings to see if that can be changed.
Awesome addon, and Im looking forward to the new release. Id like to make a suggestion if possible. If you can maybe add a Model viewer that pops up below where you display the info about where the item drops. That way you can see what the Mount / Pet etc looks like. Anyways just wanted to put my 2 cents out. Great work, keep it up.

"Raving Sushi" is my guild's name. Your character's guild name will show up instead in that spot.
We have about three "big" hurdles to complete for the new version but I'll post some teaser screenshots of the new version for you all. :)

Nice, good work guys. keep on
This has been an awesome addon for me as an old player returning for Mists and becoming horribly obsessed with this side of the game. Thanks for all of your hard work and truly a great job!
This addon pretty much broke when 5.0.4 came out.
We (Torhal and I) could have patched it together, instead we decided that the long overdue rewrite needed to occur. We're currently rewriting Collectinator to be based off of the newer Ackis Recipe List code base which will make things a lot nicer and run a lot smoother. It will also allow us to add in support for more than mounts and pets (e.g. tabards, anything else you folks can come up with).
If you're familiar with git, you can check out the 2.0 branch in the repository. This is still in alpha and right now it's at the point where it doesn't blow up. There's still a lot of polishing that needs to be done.
Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding.
Really looking forward to your update, much appreciated!
Love Recipe List, and loved this addon prior to 5.0. Thanks.
Thanks a lot. I checkout out from git but couldn't find 2.0 branch anywhere? Can you assist on which git url I can find this branch? Thanks
...but... is this addon supposed to do >something<?
In MoP, will there be a note in the tooltip, on mouseover critters, that aren't catched yet?
When I scanned it on my alts, it showed a lot of pets that I already have (got them on my main)..
Does not work , if you click on "Scan" nothing happens, no further window is opening
if you click on "Scan" nothing happens
Please continue to work on this addon. With MoP and the way the interface shows all of the pets and where to get them, that portion may be obsolete. However, the mount tracker and where to find them is still very valulable and cherished.
PS Love all of the work you guys/gals do. Keep up the good stuff!
I've added a darkmoon zeppelin pet and the argent hippograph mount, both times recieved an error with this new version.
Does not work at 5.0.4, if you click on "Scan" nothing happens, no further window is opening
same here
Works here.
