Collectinator
What it does
Provides methods for determining which mini-pets and mounts you are missing.
Where to get it
- WowAce - Development stage
- Curse - Stable release
- WoWInterface - Stable release
How to get it to work
Open up your companion window (pets or mounts) and click the scan button. This will open up another window which will allow you to see which companions you are missing, along with how to acquire them.

Ok, took a while to figure it out. The problem was caused by two typos in 'Mob.lua' located in 'Database'. Line 142 and line 149: 'Z,TIMELESS_ISLE' should be 'Z.TIMELESS_ISLE', i.e. a period instead of a comma.
Collectinator has been updated for 5.4.
There is however a 'Known Issue': When scrolling over World Drop, an error will pop up. It won't stop the addon from working however, it's just annoying. Torhal/Ackis are swamped with work at the moment, and don't have time to fix it for a few days. I'd fix it, however I haven't a clue how. ;)
In the meantime, I suggest you install Bugsack & Buggrabber so the error doesn't pop up on your screen while using the addon.
Sorry that it's not 100% perfect for release today!
This addon should show up under the Battle Pets section.
Detailed documentation
The link for the above seems to go to a 403 Forbidden page?
Who thx a lot man, just the addone i did not kno wi missed :D
Really a time saver for me that just started to collect Pet andf Mounts!!
Thanks for the addon and updates!
I'm curious why you haven't included a changelog for the last two updates.
Like ChaGrin posted earlier, I like to be informed of new features, changes, bug fixes and language file updates.
It's very convenient when even a very brief summary is included on this site.
The root cause of this was that 2.0.0 was a complete rewrite and there are still issues. Technically it's probably still in beta phase but if you were to use the 1.x version it would be useless to you now. There's been so many changes that we just didn't list them, but I can see how it helps. :)
Inastall 2.0.0beta3. There is no scan button in my mounts or compnaions window. Now what?

I Love your Change Logs!!! I can actually understand what you added/changed
I know that sounds odd, but I work in the tech industry (as a non-Dev) and some of the unreadable/indecipherable change logs I'm required to read make me want to pull my hair out.
Oh and thanks for the addon, am going to give it a try.
Love the product--Thanks You!!
Some things to note: I do notice that the "Retired" filter has quite a many mounts not flagged. I haven't gone though everything, but I did notice this immediately. I also see that there are 282x in the database. Actually, there are currently over 350x Mounts listed in: http://www.wowhead.com/guide=1358/mount-collecting-the-completionist-guide
Thanks!
great addon dont know if this is just me but the addon shows up in my list as Title no name only in the addon selection screen.
Thanks. We'll get that fixed! :)
Collectinator 2.0, compatible with 5.1, with all the collectibles (up to and include 5.1's pets and mounts), is up now as 2.0.0beta1. You can get it via "Other downloads" above, or in Curse Client, switch Collectinator to "Beta" releases, and it'll pop up for you to download.
As I said, all collectibles are in, however the levels and coordinates are NOT included in this beta build. It will tell you which zones you can find it, but not the area of the zone. We're still in process of getting the coding working, and going through each battle pet by hand and adding the required info. We're hoping for this to be in soon, at which point we'll push a release version (we may push release sooner if need be).
FYI, 2.0.0beta1 appears to be flagged as Release, so there's no need to change settings in the client, on the other hand if you don't want to download betas (like myself) you have to be careful not to update.
Sorry for the delay guys - pretty much all of us have been going through some real-life issues right now, so development of the addon has fallen behind.. And for that I apologize. I know we've been promising it, and you've been waiting for it.
However, now that I have a bit more time to myself (I just moved), I can hopefully get back to work on the database, and will be working towards that tonight & this weekend.
On top of the rewrite, we've also added additional requested features from general users:
- Added Zones where all battle pets can be found. You can now search a Zones listing for pets you don't have yet.
- Added multiple co-ords for each and every Zone that the pet can be found in.
- Added Time of Day notices for those battle pets that only show up certain times of the day/night.
- Added approx level for battle pets for each Zone.
When you expand the battle pet in the Collectinator screen, it will show something like this:
Level #, Zone: #, Co-ords: ##.#:##.#, ##.#:##.#
Level #, Zone: #, Co-ords: ##.#:##.#, ##,#:##,#
Some of which we've been able to datamine (ie general info about the pet), but the rest is all hand-entered from information gathered via wowhead/wowdb.
If you guys know how to use Repos and would like to test the '2.0' branch that is 5.0/5.1-compatible (but is an alpha version and will be buggy), via the wowace site for the Repo info.
Hoping to be done soonish.
Thanks for the heads up :)
Any info on when we can expect the new version? :)
Ballpark estimates are welcome :)
Not sure if this is because the add on is "broken" but all my pets I have it says I need. I just downloaded this in hope's of using it because when I search for pets on the AH it no longer tells me if I already know it or not :( Looking forward to an update on this add on :)
