Combo Points Redux
Combo Points Redux is a numeric and graphical display for your combo points (and other similar mechanic abilities) based on the excellent numeric-only addon BasicComboPoints.
Slash Command
/cpr
or /cpredux
Features
- Numeric and graphical display of your combo points
- Numeric display and graphical display are independently movable
- Many icon choices for the graphical display
- Also tracks many other stacking secondary powers including
- Druids: Combo Points
- Mages: Arcane Charges
- Monks: Chi
- Paladins: Holy Power
- Rogues: Combo Points
- Warlocks: Soul Shards
Width, Height, and Scale
The new version for Legion has been updated to dynamically size the points based on your container size. This was done due to all the talents that change the number of points. Here's how this works.
- Set a Height and Width for the Point container
- Based on the maximum number of points available, the individual points will take up a proportional space
That's great... How do I get back to normal?
Here's an example of how to use the new options:
- You want 20x20 square icons and 5 pixels of spacing between them.
- Your class has six points.
- Set Height to 20 and Width to 150
- 150 = (20 * 6) + (5 * 6)
- You can then set a Scale to make this bigger or smaller too
In general:
- Set the Height to your desired Point height
- Calculate the Width
- Point Width * Max Points + Point Spacing * Max Points
Feedback
Important notice: since v3.2.6, ComboPointsRedux embeds BugGrabber, an error catching addon. Please check the error is really about ComboPointsRedux before reporting them here. I suggest installing BugSack to catch the errors.
Please report any bug or error using the WowAce bug tracker (your Curse account works there). The comments section below is not meant to report and track bugs.
Some words about submitting bug reports:
- I do not care about “it doesn’t work, fix it!” messages. I need to know how it failed and a way to reproduce the bug so I can test it and make sure I fix it.
- Bug reports are not in the “fire and forget” kind of things. I may have to ask you some details.
- Please check all existing tickets and the “known issues” section below before submitting new ones. Duplicate reports will be rejected on sight.
If you want another module for a spell please file them as tickets on WowAce. It makes my life easier!
Localization
Currently the addon will work in all locales, but the options screen is not translated on all clients. If you would like to help translate the options screen you can submit translations with the new localization tool at wowace.
Getting this error on every toon every time i log in after this latest update.

The update you just released didn't help... Now getting that same chain error on my bear. Can't even get into config now
Get BugSack. It's on Curse. I need the full error message.
Getting this as a continuous error on the shaman
[14:29:35] ...face\AddOns\ComboPointsRedux\Modules\Fulmination.lua:42: in function `?'

You'll want to install an addon called BugSack, that will hide the chat message and format the error better. It looks like part of the error is cut off... so I'm guessing at a fix right now.
Edit: I can't get this to happen on my Shaman... Please install BugSack and create a ticket with the entire error message and what you have to do to make it happen (i.e. have no stacks, be in combat, just hit Earth Shock... whatever it is.
When I first install this addon, I overlap the combo point bar and anticipation bar and set different icons for combo point (yellow squared) and anticipation points (red bandit guile) so that I can see both of the icons at the same time in the same position while using the same graphic strata level (as high). At first this works perfectly but while raiding for about 2 to 3 hours, all of a sudden and I can no longer see my anticipation points. The weird thing is that if I completely separate these two bars the anticipation points can be seen again or if I set different graphic strata level for these two bars the anticipation points are visable again. This problem goes away if I uninstall the addon via curse client and reinstall the addon. Is there any chance you can resolve this problem? Thanks for your help
I think I found a temporary solution for this problem. After this problem occurs, It seems that if I disable and then enable the 'disable graphics' option in the combo points menu, both the combo points and anticipation points are visable at the same time again. Hope it might help if you have a chance to look into the problem.
This seems very odd. Nothing in the code should be adjusting the strata settings, except the options screen as you noticed with the "Disable Graphics" option. If you set it up and save the settings (/reloadui) then start playing it should just work.
This almost sounds like an issue with Blizzard's frame management code instead of something in my addon. I will try to find time to dig deeper, but nothing in normal play should adjust the strata level without your input.
I confirmed that sometimes toggling the 'disable graphics' option doesn't work. so there seems to be a problem in the Blizzard's frame management code like you mentioned. I'll try the '/reloadui' command when I get back home. Thanks for your advice!

I got this error message, although I'm not sure it's related to the issue I mentioned. Hope it might help
It's not really related. ComboPointsRedux loads the Ace3 libraries, and then gets blamed for the taint. But that wouldn't cause strata levels to change on the CPR frames.
So I'm on to the next toon now and notice the Lacerate stacks have been removed from bear. Any chance of having that put back in for Pulverize (Lev 100)?
I will add that back in. Hopefully this weekend, but between work, wedding planning and house hunting... it might take a little bit longer. My apologies for the delay.
Cpr is no longer tracking my Evangelism stacks. Is there a setting I need to change to get this working again?
Nope, that's a byproduct of the module clean up I did. I can add Evangelism back though.
That would be awesome! Flyin blind in raid is no fun
Do you have an ETA on being able to add Evangelism back in?
I have an alpha version I just posted you can try. I haven't had a chance to test it yet though

Tested it today in LFR and normal, works great!
Thanks!
Hello guys!! First of all, Gratz for all work you guys have done!!
2th, sorry for my bad English, it isn't my main language ;)!!
So, I was thinking if you guys have a solution to see how many combo points/burning ember people has in me! For example, I'm fighting against a rogue/lock and I would like to see how many points they has in me, got it?
Thanks!!
