Combo Points Redux
Combo Points Redux is a numeric and graphical display for your combo points (and other similar mechanic abilities) based on the excellent numeric-only addon BasicComboPoints.
Slash Command
/cpr
or /cpredux
Features
- Numeric and graphical display of your combo points
- Numeric display and graphical display are independently movable
- Many icon choices for the graphical display
- Also tracks many other stacking secondary powers including
- Druids: Combo Points
- Mages: Arcane Charges
- Monks: Chi
- Paladins: Holy Power
- Rogues: Combo Points
- Warlocks: Soul Shards
Width, Height, and Scale
The new version for Legion has been updated to dynamically size the points based on your container size. This was done due to all the talents that change the number of points. Here's how this works.
- Set a Height and Width for the Point container
- Based on the maximum number of points available, the individual points will take up a proportional space
That's great... How do I get back to normal?
Here's an example of how to use the new options:
- You want 20x20 square icons and 5 pixels of spacing between them.
- Your class has six points.
- Set Height to 20 and Width to 150
- 150 = (20 * 6) + (5 * 6)
- You can then set a Scale to make this bigger or smaller too
In general:
- Set the Height to your desired Point height
- Calculate the Width
- Point Width * Max Points + Point Spacing * Max Points
Feedback
Important notice: since v3.2.6, ComboPointsRedux embeds BugGrabber, an error catching addon. Please check the error is really about ComboPointsRedux before reporting them here. I suggest installing BugSack to catch the errors.
Please report any bug or error using the WowAce bug tracker (your Curse account works there). The comments section below is not meant to report and track bugs.
Some words about submitting bug reports:
- I do not care about “it doesn’t work, fix it!” messages. I need to know how it failed and a way to reproduce the bug so I can test it and make sure I fix it.
- Bug reports are not in the “fire and forget” kind of things. I may have to ask you some details.
- Please check all existing tickets and the “known issues” section below before submitting new ones. Duplicate reports will be rejected on sight.
If you want another module for a spell please file them as tickets on WowAce. It makes my life easier!
Localization
Currently the addon will work in all locales, but the options screen is not translated on all clients. If you would like to help translate the options screen you can submit translations with the new localization tool at wowace.
Attention Rogues and Kitties!
CPR has a new option under the Combo module called Advanced Point Tracking. This option is off by default. When enabled, it will track combo points on your character instead of on your target.
Blizzard without telling anyone switched UnitPowerType 4 to instead of happiness.

Using this instead of GetComboPoints will allow you to track combo points when you do not have a target whereas GetComboPoints returns 0..
Thanks for the info. I think I'll make a "classic" module that track by target and an "advanced" module that tracks using UnitPower and works without a target. The classic one will be on by default and you'll have to opt in for the advanced tracking.
Hopefully I'll have this out before the raid reset.
Any plans to store the rogue cp like chi from monks?
Not sure what you mean by that. What is the addon doing for rogues and what should it be doing?
I think he means how Monks have their Chi points on the player, whereas Rogues combo points are still on the target, not the player itself.
You can't see your combo points unless you target something on Rogues, whereas on Monks you see them regardless of target or no target. Two different combo point systems though.
Any plans to add tracking for Shamans fulmination/lightning shield charges? That would be awesome!
I should be able to add that back in.
Should be great for drood too.
But what haps if without target we use cp for buff (slice and dice or savage roar) ?
You can't get current CP by function if we have no target
The options will not show. I've tried using /cpr and /cpredux and tried accessing through the interface/addons menu. No options will load. Ive even cleared my save variables and reinstalled the addon. One odd thing is that when I type the command is will not respond when I press the enter key. For example, I can type /cp and then hit enter and the /help dialog will appear in the chat (informing me that it was the wrong command). But when I type /cpr or /cpredux (the correct command) once I hit enter nothing happens. The text stays in the text field and no options appear.
Also have verified that I do infact have the options folder in the addons directory and that it is selected to load in game.
I don't have this problem on my install. Do you have Lua Errors enabled, from the Help menu?
I also just tried a fresh install with it as the only addon and /cpr worked to bring up the option window. Can you try the Lua Errors thing with an addon like BugGrabber and BugSack?

Seems like you need to do a fresh reinstall. The Lacerated module should have been removed. Delete the addon and saved variables, then reinstall.
I know you said you did that, but I just did it without seeing errors
Nevermind, it's a Druid specific issue. A new build should be out shortly.
Thank you so much! Love the addon! Hate playing without it!
That was fast! You're awesome! Thank you!
Hi all, I forgot to make this post yesterday.
I've decided to clean up the modules a bit. I removed most of the modules that are not true secondary resources (Combo, Chi, Shadow Orbs, Embers, etc). If something you were using is missing, just drop a comment or open a ticket and I'll look into adding it back.
There were a lot of modules and I didn't have the time to play each class and spec on the beta and figure out what should be kept or pruned. I appreciate your understanding!
As a rogue it does not erase old 5 cp pics after you spend them if you had some anticipation stacks before, it looks like this http://puu.sh/cd3rR/49b017a806.jpg
