Description
Compact Runes is a re-write of DocsDebugRunes. It preserves the compact UI but adds additional features.
Configuration
To configure, type /crunes or use the game menu: Esc -> Interface -> AddOns (tab in top, left corner) -> Compact Runes. Next to the Compact Runes title on the right is a small plus sign that expands and provides more settings.
Features
It tracks the following items:
- Runes (shown horizontally or vertically) with an optional setting to show a numeric timer for each rune. Runes are sorted by the recharge timer but it can be disabled.
- Runic Power
- Diseases and time left.
- Sudden Doom, Shadow Infusion, Dark Transformation, Soul Reaper, Festering Wound, and Epidemic for Unholy.
- Rime/Freezing Fog, Killing Machine, Icy Talons, Razorice, and Remorseless Winter for Frost
- Death and Decay Bar for Blood and Unholy to show the buff for AoE.
- Blood Shield
- Vampiric Blood bar which shows the duration and cooldown.
- LDB/Minimap Icon Support
- RC Procs are indicated with a white border.
- RE procs, RC procs, and wasted Blood Charges tracking in the LDB tooltip.
- Crimson Scourge is shown as a proc.
- Out of melee range is indicated by a red border. This option can be disabled.
- An optional "Almost ready" rune state. The alpha can be adjusted independently for it.
- Cooldown Bars per spec. A configurable row of icons to show the cooldown on abilities and certain trinkets.
- Swing Timer (main hand).

Posted May 1, 2016There's still an issue with the Soul Reaper icon, apparently. I don't even have Soul Reaper at this level.
I don't get this issue on my main, which is level 100.
I've got the "Soul Reaper CD" disabled and under "Procs" I've got all the procs disabled for all three specs. I can provide further details if needed.
I'd like to add that I really like this AddOn, and the T18 proc tracker has been incredibly useful. Thanks for making it.

Posted Apr 9, 2016Edit: Ignore request. This is more simply accomplished with the "Dimensions" option in the addon pane. Having used crunes for a few years I only JUST learned this existed. I now feel dumb.
Hey, hopefully a simple request for some layout customization. I really would like to use the "vertical" layout for the frame but "horizontal" for the bars themselves. This would look like the 3 columns that you get with the vertical layout but instead of 2 vertical bars on top of eachother the bars would be horizontally stacked in their rune sets so 2 horizontal blood runes next to 2 horizontal frost runes next to 2 horizontal unholy runes. That would be a dream come true.
I think it would have something to do with the "swap" when the layout orientation is called, but I'm more artsy than programmy. This would make my day though.

Posted Apr 9, 2016I see this isn't as easy as I had thought. Would require a new section in the options, i think.
I did try it but when i did the whole compact runes addon basically disappeared from existence. I'm a novice though, so I probably broke something without realizing.

Posted Jan 3, 2016A great addon, a lot costumization that makes it so much easier for any DK. But unfortunatly I found one small bug:
My Blood Charge Bar it only keeps the positioning when being at 10+ Charges, below 10 Charges the positioning is the standard positioning/or just changes to some random position. The random positioning seems to happen after I move the bar with my mouse, as soon as it hits 10 charges it just changes the position to somewhere else (always lower).
I hope you can fix this little (but annoying) bug. But again, thanks for this addon! Its amazing!

Is there a way to make runes dissapear without procs dissapearing? I m using the CD bar and Procs from here with another runes addon, but whenever i set display alpha to 0, procs dissapear aswell.

Posted Sep 25, 2015Ive been using this ever since i started playing DK, and it randomly dissappeared from my window while playing battlegrounds today. I tried to delete the folder and replace it. Any fixes for this problem yet??

Posted Sep 29, 2015I do not know of any issues. I don't know why it would disappear unless it was moved off the screen or there was an error when the WoW client was saving its settings. Re-installing the addon would not fix either of these.
I would start by disabling all addons but Compact Runes, logon as your DK, and verify if you still see the issue. If this solves the issue then re-enable addons one by one until it breaks. That should help identify the conflicting addon.
If that doesn't work then I would start by verifying that the addon is running. You can either type /crunes or use the menus. To get there via the menus, press Esc, select Interface, then select the Addons tab, then go to Compact Runes. If you see Compact Runes there, it did load.
If it is running but not showing up, I would guess there is an issue with its settings.
Before giving up on your current settings, I would try to adjust the position of the main window. If you expand the Compact Runes settings by clicking the small button with a + sign in it, you should see a list of options. Select Layout and on the right side select Main Frame. That is the X,Y coordinates of the main frame. Check if the values seem reasonable and try selecting 0,0.
If that doesn't work then I would try to start with fresh settings. You can either move the settings file to another spot (to be safe) or use a new profile. Either of these methods should reset all settings back to the default.
To use a new profile you would once again expand the settings of Compact Runes by using the small + button beside it in the AddOns settings. Then select Profiles. You can select Reset Profile but that wipes out your current settings. It may be easier to create a new one first to see if that helps. In the box named new you can type a name for it (could just be "Test") and hit enter. You should then reload by typing /reload or just log out and back in. See if that works.
If you wish to move the settings file out of the way and let the WoW client make a new one then you want to move <WoW Folder>\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\SavedVariables\CompactRunes.lua to a safe place. You can always move this back later if necessary.
If you still have issues after this, send me a private message. You could include the Lua settings file above and/or a screen shot.

Posted Sep 29, 2015Plague Leech is a Proc. I don't believe it is turned on by default now. You want to go into the settings (Esc, click Interface, then select AddOns tab) and click the small + button next the Compact Runes on the left column. Select the Proc option. Select the spec you are interested in, and make sure Plague Leech has a check mark next to it. You can also adjust its priority here. The currently active proc with the highest priority is shown.

Posted Aug 19, 2015I cannot duplicate the issue.
The Soul Reaper CD is a new icon that appears to the left of the Proc icon. It shows the CD on Soul Reaper while it is active. It will be the Soul Reaper icon with a countdown of 5 to 0. It doesn't control the Proc icon showing that Soul Reaper is available.
If we're talking about the same thing and it is still occuring for you, you may need to give me more details.

Posted Aug 17, 2015I'm pretty sure I've tried everything, including messing with the alphas for the T18 2p buff tracking, but can't seem to get it to work. It's a huge pain trying to track it at the top of my screen, with all my other buffs procing on and off.
Is there anything you could suggest that might help get this to work? Or maybe an alternative for tracking the T18 2p buffs?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Posted Aug 19, 2015The T18 2pc tracking was working for me. I released a new version 6.2.3 which should have the latest version of the code. There was a bug in an earlier version. Please re-check it and see if that resolves the issue.
