This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
CowTip is a customizeable, tag-based tooltip addon. It is based on Rock and other libraries of the community. It is currently in beta.
CowTip isn't meant to be the smallest addon humanly possible, but it will be clean, configurable, and have the same polish I afford my other addons.
I think the problem is in rating buster. What I did was uninstall rating buster then use the curse client to clean the saved variables. I then reinstalled rating buster. This seemed to get rid of the problem.
Weird. I found that disabling RatingBuster fixed the error popups. However I tried the fix posted by Bocek1980 and it didn't change anything. I've got the very latest (last 24hrs) RatingBuster but can't find any more recent CowTip than this. Anyone technical know if this is a simple LUA fix? I find both these addons to be very useful... would suck to have to lose one
Heya, I am using cowtip addon, because I like it alot more than Blizzard default tooltips, but have one problem with it. I can't see mobs colors as red anymore if they are aggressive, but instead of a class color and its big deal when im leveling.
Is there anyway to make it so that cowtip shows mobs with default colors and not with classcolor and only players with classcolor? :S
Scout "Mitha" ( Mithatal ) Mith'atal
Importer of Exotic Goods
Where 'Scout "Mitha" (' is the prefix to the standard game name, 'Mithatal' is the standard name, ') Mith'atal' is the suffix. It reverts back to 'Mithatal'
It does display custom titles from the mod, however.
If you're having problems with CowTip blasting your UI apart while in raids, confirm whether you're also using Pitbull - they both use the same libaries, and I've noticed that when I use one or the other, I have no problem - but if I run both, I rarely make it through the first boss without a total UI meltdown.
Interesting...cowtip wasn't blasting my UI apart until I added ElkBuffBars. Now my interface blows up. I however do not use Pitbull, but I would assume the effect is similar.
Seems that maybe cowtip, or perhaps the other addons aren't playing nice. Or maybe the event library is borked
