Decursive key benefits
Ease of use:
- Decursive supports all classes with cleansing abilities and configures itself automatically, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out afflictions you don't want to cure or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured). (Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...).
- Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority. (this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively)
- Prioritize or exclude members. (keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic), Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players who can't be dispelled. (player 'out of line of sight' for example).
- Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid. (preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and auditive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.
In brief, what you get with Decursive is effectiveness, a player using Decursive will always dispel faster than other players.

@Torp:
Hmm this is not the same problem, Banish are ignored because normally those players cannot be decursed... but it seems to be wrong now :/
@Dandre:
Note that decursive may not detect a dispell immediately because it reads the debuffs icons, so the textue take a little time to update itself.
If you are able to clean other magic effects then you should have been able to clean the sheep. Decursive only cares about the debuff type...
So the next time, open the livelist window (if it's not displayed there, I'll have one more clue) and try to push your decursive key several times.
@carpone
I'll do these for version 2.0
>> Can you tell me why you would like that the debuff list grows 'upwards' instead of 'downwards'?
Heya. When trying to clear a banish (magic effect) i get a message about like this: "Banish detected, ignoring", no name specified and it appears in the chat screen. I suppose thats similar to the sheep problem some have mentioned. English client btw
I can bypass by dispeling the person without using decursive.
Hiyas:
I was the guildie in Scarlet Strath. Basically, the scarlet sorcerers there would sheep a group member -- I don't don't play with the live list up, so I'm not sure if anything gets posted. But I just see the picture of the person showing up as a sheep, and I hit decursive. There's no error message, and i think it says nothing cleaned - but since I'm in a big hurry usually I just targeted the person and cast dispell on them, which removed the sheep.
I hope that helps.

@sephtin:
Can you give details about what "unable"means? - Was there an error message? - Was the member name displayed in Decursive live list?
What is the language of the WoW client?
@CYPSYAN:
I'm not sure how :/
Guildie (priest) stated that she was unable to cleanse polymorph from a group member this evening using keybinding with Decursive 1.9.7. One of the mobs in Strat (live) sheeped a member, and she was unable to cleanse it off. :(
Going back to 1.9.4 or 1.9.5 resolved the issue.
Thanks for all of the time and effort you put into keeping this mod alive!

@Crusher:
This is normal, you should not display Decursive messages in your chat though...
@tazmanyak:
Nevermind, what I wanted to say is that Decursive is more useful with its window than without...
[quote on] /dcrshow ---> To show main Decursive UI (preferred) NOTE THAT FOR DECURSIVE TO WORK CORRECTLY, ITS WINDOW MUST BE PRESENT. [quote off]
What do you mean by this ? I never show Decursive window, and i have no problems with curing ... My priority list is "prioritary" and ignore are ignored ... Maybe just a problem with range check ???
Thank you, greetings for your work ^^
that should be nice to have this addon on titan panel
Is it just me, or since I've updated to 1.9.6.5 everytime I cast anything while being out of range, out of line of sight, it will display that notice in the chat log of my screen.
I still don't know why anyone would every use shareware such as winzip or winrar when they could use free/open source apps like 7-zip that are just as good (if not better). http://www.7-zip.org/
.rar is NOT an open format. Applicaitons other than WinRAR can include code to uncompress .rar archives, but not compress them (unless they pay license fees :(
.7z is open. From unRar license: <snip> 2. The unRAR sources may be used in any software to handle RAR archives without limitations free of charge, but cannot be used to re-create the RAR compression algorithm, which is proprietary. Distribution of modified unRAR sources in separate form or as a part of other software is permitted, provided that it is clearly stated in the documentation and source comments that the code may not be used to develop a RAR (WinRAR) compatible archiver. </snip>

Auto-Installer version for Windows:
(this version installs itself, you just have to say yes when you execute it) http://www.j2072.teaser-hosting.com/wow/adds/Decursive-1.9.6.5.Archa.exe
Changes from Decursive 1.9.6.4 to Decursive 1.9.6.5
- Added the Option "Don't blacklist priority list names" (defaults to off) - Removed the option "check for range", Decursive will always check for range. - Now when a cast fails, only "out of sight" persons are blacklisted. - Out of range players are no longer added to the blacklist (this was useless). - Probably fix the freeze issue some people were experiencing. - Updated Chinese localization.
@roy7:
I'm not sure in fact, I remembered that Tooltips couldn't be displayed out of the screen but after reading your post I tested and I saw it wasn't true anymore... I'll make some more tests.
@carpone:
I'll do it for the version 2.0 (a lot of work ahead).
Can you tell me why you would like that the debuff list grows 'upwards' instead of 'downwards'?
@all RAR haters and conservative persons:
I want to spread RAR because I like progress. RAR is still evolving since 13 years.... ZIP is everything but progress.
By the way, WinRAR is able to read/write ZIP archive....
Please use zip. Everybody has it.
And to archiv, "over 50% of inet users use winrar..." - baloney. I'd bet less than 5%, maybe even less than 2% of all internet users have any decompression program other than zip.
zip is built into Windows for Pete's sake.
Why would a developer add a level of difficulty to the process of installing/updating his product?
I fail to think of a good reason to promulgate a mix of file types and I do have a good reason for wanting to avoid that.
I keep all my addons ( in compressed form ) in the same directory. I run WinZIP to unpack/install them. Now why oh why do i need to run WinRAR too?
I like winzip better because it remembers where i have been last and winrar does not thereby making it a pissy program to use.
I really like it -- the new messages seem cleaner now or something -- great job!
Dandan
Please consider adding a debuff priority list. For example during Lucifron, as a priest I will get messages about Impending Doom and Mind Control. I want to see the Mind Control debuffs listed first, followed by the Impending Doom debuffs. Likewise in BWL during technician packs, I want to prioritize Greater Polymorph over Thunderclap. Or even better, I don't want to see Thunderclap messages at all. Check out CTRA's built-in decursive-like feature which supports this. (I prefer Decursive over CTRA for dispelling due to skip lists.)
Also, I know it would be low on the list...but having an option to have the debuff list grow 'upwards' instead of 'downwards' would be welcome.
Thanks for continuing to support this great mod!
