Getting Started
When you first login with this AddOn you will see a black transparent rectangle with a blue bar labeled 'Default', called the encounter pane, in the center of your screen. Shift+Click on it to move it. From left to right you will see:
- Stop Icon: Halts the current encounter (you should rarely have to do this)
- Menu Icon: Opens the configuration dialog
- Lock Icon: Toggles frame anchors
- Windows Icon: Opens a drop down menu to show interface windows
Also, if you ever hide the pane and can't get it to show, type /dxe to open the configuration dialog. There is also a minimap icon.

I Switched to DXE a while back and now others are too in my guild but the Raid Icon markings conflict with DBM which the majority of raiders still use and as such many have learnt fights using DBM's Raid icon placement order - Skull, Cross, Square, Triangle, Moon, Circle, Star, Diamond (25man)
When you open up the config, click encounters then click on the Boss you want (Festurgut in this case) then click on the raid Icons tab, set the drop down box to the Spores - Just below this it says the Icon setting for Spores is Icons 6-8. DBM used Skull Cross Square - DXE used Circle, Star, Diamond - this caused some confusion on HC Fester :P A Quick fix for me was change the icons in the Alerts Panel to have icons 6-8 be Skull Cross Square (prev. they were 1,2,3) when doing Fester but that meant changing them back for Sindragosa whose icon settings use 1-6 Skull, Cross, Square, Triangle, Moon, Circle in DXE, the same pattern DBM uses.
Is it possible to change those Encounter Icon Settings somehow in DXE as it exists already or would that functionality need to be written in? I cant find anything. I.E. Make Festurgut Spore Settings use icons 1-3 (Or icons of choice) instead of 6-8 so i dont have to switch them each encounter?
Or would it be easier to allow the Encounter Advanced tab to allow you to set specifically what icons you want DXE to use for each specific encounter your doing?
Or am i stuck manually switching when doing those 2 Bosses whenever i Raid lead?

Anyhow, I just wanted to add that Deus is pronounced "DEE-us," or "DAY-us." Not "deuce."
My guildmates are driving me nuts when they talk about it.
@Brwmmice, it's probably actually Prat. Don't believe Quartz has ever shipped with the broken library.
Ah, I see. I tried your suggestion and it worked - I'll narrow down the addon (it will take some time, but I can enable groups and work from there) and notify the correct people. Thanks.
Edit: After some testing, I concluded that Quartz was the issue. However, I disabled all addons except Quartz and DXE and it worked together just fine. My guess is that addons are interacting in some strange way, causing issues. All addons enabled except Quartz still works fine, though.
@Brwmmice: Try turning off all addons except DXE and then configuring the status bar texture. There is a broken version of AceGUI media widgets floating around addons and I am pretty sure it's not packaged with DXE.
@ZubrDP: It's currently not possible to do from the gui. You'll have to edit 'flashtime' in Encounters.lua It's certainly a feature I'd like to add in the future.
I'm having a few errors pop up when trying to change the background and bar textures in the options panel. Here's the error message:
Perhaps I've missed it, but is there any way to control when cooldowns move to the center bar? When this happens the alert/flash fires. It seems to occur at 5s for most cooldowns, but for some encounters that's almost an eternity. I did find that the text raid warning timer can be adjusted, to warn say 2s before a cooldown is up, but that does not fire an audible alert.
Is there a way to use 2 proximity meters on sindragosa hardmode? I don't particularly need them but some of the raiders seem to need a little more help seeing how far away they should run.
I went to the totc and realised snobold aren't coming up in the encounter. Like I saw in a youtube video clip how there's arrows pointing where the snobolds are but when I did it today. Nothing appears. Have I missed something thats preventing some abilities from a boss not active with the addon?
There are only maybe three people in my raids who have DXE, so I can't see the health of Halyon in the other Realm, is there a way to fix this? Or should I just use the addon that others use or make the Blizzard boss health things (like in Gunship where it shows the health of both ships with the Default UI) visible again?
@Melchior2032, you'll lose the focus target when he goes out of phase.
@ZubrDP, Right now there's no way for your client to get that info so we'd have to pass it via comms. Right now DXE doesn't do any in fight comms. So it's something that would take some new core code to add.
