it doesnt also could you get this addon to work with the addon clique?
i disabled Dhud2 to see something with the add on Clique and now i cant get it to re-enable cause i cant find the minimap button and there isnt a /dhud whatever to bring it back up
Hello,
/dhud2 should open the addon confing window.
You've misunderstood. The hud used to work perfectly, but now... let's say I throw a lightning bolt at a mob. The damage doesn't register to the update until the next hit; I throw a bolt which does 10% damage, the hud still says it's at 100%. I throw another 10% bolt, the hud now shows the mob at 90%, when it should be at 80%. When the mob dies, it shows the mob is still at 10%. The target bars are always 1 update behind.
I am using mobinfo2. Is this version of DHud not compatible with it anymore? Do I have to update to mobinfo3 and can I change the settings to save the health values?
Ok,
After some time using MobHealth2 I saw the same behaviour I did when I added it's support back. I've might have done something wrong with MobHealth's API but for some reason when I first target a Mob MobHealth doesn't return a life value for it. Only after you hit him once you start getting updated values. I will look more into MobHelath's API to see if I am doing something wrong.
Hi, that is wierd.. defenelty not happening to me, but I've been using MobHelath3 for a long time now. DHUD2 still supports MobHealth2, let me do some tests and I will get back to you.
I've got an interesting one: The target bars get stuck at the previous state. Let's say I target an untapped mob. The values will be at 100%, but when I hit them, the hud doesn't change. It's not until the 2nd time that I hit them that it changes, and it updates to the 1st hit. Player bars get updated normally.
I've deleted all the files from the /addon and /wtf folders and installed a fresh new copy, still does it. I have not checked to see if another addon is interfering with the hud. Know anything about it?
Hi,
Blizz doesn't give information about mob's health as a "real" value, it only gives it to you as a percent value. If you want to know the mobs health you have to inspect the combat log, see for how much you hit the mob, then see how much percent life the mobs lost and then use this info to reverse estimate the mobs total and current health. The more times you do this the more accurate the total and current health values will be. One of the most popular addons that do this math for you is MobHealth, perhaps MobHealth2 was the most. DHUD2 relies on MobHealth3 (ACE2 version of MobHealth2) to show the mobs health values. One of the biggest differences between MobHealth2 and MobHealth3 is that MobHealth3 does NOT store mobs total health on a Database by default. This means that each time you face a mob the math must be redone to get this values, hence the behaviour you are seeing. Please read http://www.wowace.com/wiki/MobHealth3 for more info on how MobHealth3 works.
There are 2 works arrounds: 1st you can configure MobHealth3 to store mob info in a database. 2nd, you can uninstall MobHealth3 and use MobHealth2 (which saves mob data by default) which DHUD2 also supports.
Any way remeber that this values are always the result of a mathematical operation extrated form a change in percent and a reported damage in the combat log, this will mean they are not 100% accurate. I bet that if you look a bit closer, how will notice that sometimes the health bar is empty but the mob is still alive... this happens from the same reason.
Hi,
I don't know if it's just my bug, but the target healt bar is bugged. It shows things like: 1285/1285 (1285%), i mean, it take each point as a percent, so the bar starts changing just when the target has less then 100hp. hope you understand.
I think I do. Are you using MobHealth3 or MobHelath2?
Hi,
is there an option to see Name of Casted Spells (both player and enemy)? And an option to see My Debuff Duration on Target?
Hello,
Short answer no and no. Name of the spells could go in the ToDo list. For the debuff duration I belive that if you get OmniCC (if I am correct)you will get all sort of durations and cooldowns on all your buttons and I think the debuff icons will be covered by OmniCC too.
Hello,
OK, I have fixed the bugs that I think could make the addon show the "disabled" behaviour and some other minor ones.
Thanks for all the feedback.
hello~i have a question~the druid's mana bar can't display can you add this,thanks
Hello,
Druid mana bar when shapeshifted requires that you download SmartyCat. SmartyCat is the one calculating the estimated mana when shapeshifted with out it I dont have any information to show.
what a waste of my precious time. installed and once in game 2 random drop down boxes at top of screen, no response to /dhud2 in fact my interface no longer shows addons added to game.
Same thing happened to me too, but mid-game. I have been using this wonderful addon for a while now, and one day - in the middle of questing - it disappeared and those two "drop down" boxes appeared (best way to describe them) and it doesn't respond to any slash commands either. I hadn't changed anything or added any new addons, but it won't come back! It's my favourite one!
I re-downloaded it and reinstalled it, but nothing. All my other addons are fine, and I've tried disabling it and reenabling it in different combinations (no other addons loaded, some other addons loaded, different chars etc).
Do you know why this could be happening? I'm using version 1.17 on a PC.
Hello,
First of all let me apologize for the late reply but I was out of the country for some time.
The described behaviuor it really buggine me as it has never happened to me. As I replied to marcseman this is defenetly something to do with the addon not loading completly and form pommeverte's post it would seem something in the saved variables (saved configuration) is messing up the addon. From his saved variables code it will seem the addon got disabled by default. As he mentioned it too deleting the DHUD2.lua and DHUD2.lua.bk in the "/World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/[account name]/SavedVariables" will most surely fix this issue, but you will loose your configuration too.
WoW can disable addons automatically if they start to report to many errors, and that is the only thing that comes to my mind if the bug happend in mid game. Any additional information on what were you dong at the time the addon bugged out: rading, type of mob targeted, etc. will help me a lot to try and fix the issue.
I got a mail with some minor bugs detected by another user that couls pop this repeated errors and make wow disable the addon. I am already looking into those and will go over the code to try an look for anything that might be causing this behaviour.
Please let me know if the deleting of the saved variables file helped or if you continue to have this bug. Have you tried with a previous release?
Hello marcseman,
Those to drop down boxes defenetly mean that the addon didn't load correctly. All your other addons gone too? That is very wierd. Have u tried only enabling DHUD2, or disabling it to see if it is the one causing the trouble?
Hello, I have experienced this same issue. I got both drop down boxes out of nowhere as well. Disabling every other addon does not help, DHUD2 stays in this bugged state.
It is possible to get the addon working again by deleting the DHUD2.lua in the "../Worlf of Warcraft/WTF/Account/[account name]/SavedVariables" folder. this is probably only a temporary fix though.
I am posting this up here as it is the only place I've found through a quick google search that mentions this issue . Hopefully it'll help others.
For reference here is the .lua I had to delete (the faulty one I guess):
