Dimmed Actions
Update 02/12/11: Sorry for the delay in Bartender/Dominos support. I've been busy with other projects and haven't had time to play WoW or tinker with addons. I used to use Bartender pre-cata so I hope to get Bartender support working.
Dimmed Actions will turn your action buttons (semi) transparent if they meet any of the following conditions
- Target is out of range for that action.
- Not enough mana/energy/rage for that action.
- Action cannot be cast on target (healing spells on hostile target)
- Action is currently on cooldown.
- Spell already exists on target.
Each of these conditions are optional and can be turned off.
Todo:
- Add options to disable spell exists on specific actions.
- Add support for Bartender & Dominos' bars.
DA needs translators. Apply here.

Hi,
The German translation is done and ready for update. I also checked the old translations and corrected the wrong phrases.
I found a typo in the English localization: Coolodwn instead of Cooldown
Greetings from Germany,
Freydis88 :)
Once combat starts, several actions like "Death and Decay" and "Raise Ghoul" dim out and stay dimmed. They are useable at the time.
Am I missing a configuration option?
Presence of Mind (german=Geistesgegenwart)
Mirror Image (german=Spiegelbild)
Anyone knows why?
And again, it would be great to have not only an option for spells on target, but also for spells on the player himself ;)
All in all it´s really a great addon which makes ugly timerbars/targetbars unneccessary
However I do have issues with certain spells, it looks like it's working with spells who have cooldown. The action button is 'grayed' out then, but when I cast for example corruption or immolate the buttons isn't grayed out then so it looks like the 'spell exists' feature doesn't work.
I have the option on in the options screen that it should check if those spells exists on target btw.
Oh also would be possible to add a countdown timer just like omnicc. If this issue can be fixed and this feature that I would dump omni cc and dotimer together since this will have both :)
But still requesting a countdown counter a la omnicc ;)
Countdown seems like a good idea. I'll have to think it over.
any chance to add a section for spells/buffs to dimm them if they are on the own char?
The mage's "Presence of Mind" (german="Geistesgegenwart") is a spell which casts a onetime-"buff" on the mage, which causes the next spell to be instant.
This spell "Presence of Mind" should be dimmed (because unusable) when it is on the mage, and when it is on cooldown. (Both isn't working for this spell)
Unfortunately DA cannot look for spells existing on the player himself, only on targets... ideal whould be a section for spells dimmed only when on the player himself.
I don't know where is the difference between PoM and any other spell on cooldown. Because as i said in my other comment, since i changed the german language file, it works for all other spells...
Btw: great work, this addon ;) exactly what i was looking for to enhance Bartender4 ;)
Have to changed opacity sliders on the colour options? 1 change from 1.3.0 to 1.3.1 was each condition got it's own colour and opacity slider. Up = opaque, down = transparent. Open the Unusable option move the right bar to the bottom.
Overpower: Should be lit after the enemy dodges, requires 5 rage. Victory Rush: Should be lit in 20 seconds after a kill that gives you xp and/or honor. Execute: Should be lit when the enemy is at 20% health or lower, requires 15 rage. They are all melee range abilities.
They all light up when the target is at 5 yards or closer, but should be dimmed if the above requirements are not met. Switching targets gives the same result.
Just reinstalled v1.3.0 to double check and it works as expected there.
EDIT: Also happens with r89 - although the Charge button behaves better (fades properly) :)
What's the situation that should be causing them to dim. Are you out of range of the target, not enough rage or is nothing at all happening when you switch targets/move around. This'll help me narrow down the problem.
Logged in with only Dimmed Actions enabled, disabled "Only In Combat" and experienced the exact same situation - i.e. Overpower, Victory Rush and Execute fully lit when they should have been dimmed. "Enable" off/on did not fix it.
EDIT: Also happens with r88.
Sounds like what happens when Only In Combat is enabled. Actions are dimmed in combat then set to normal upon exiting. But if it's happening when the option is disabled then something's buggy. Or another addon is breaking our hooks used on each button.
Disable all addons but Dimmed Actions, then disable Only In Combat and let me know if it's still happening. If so does clicking the Enable off and on fix it? even temporarily.
Went from v1.3.0 to v1.3.1beta and all the warrior abilities on the main (lower) bar that aren't usable lights up as if they are ready - When selecting a target they all dim, except Overpower, Victory Rush and Execute that are still lit when at close distance (with no rage or other needed pre-requisites). Abilities on the other bars are dimmed properly. V1.3.0 worked fine, have not changed any settings and am using blizzards default bars.
EDIT: "Solved" it temporarily by unchecking and then checking the tick box in front of "Dim Unusable", needs to do be done after every relog.
EDIT2: Bah! Not solved after all, problem back after first kill - and now all bars are affected.
