DrDamage
Update 05/24/2013
DrDamage is currently being developed for 5.x. Only monks (of any spec) are not supported. All classes which existed prior to Mists are supported.
Current state: Check the http://www.wowace.com/addons/dr-damage/pages/known-issues Page before providing feedback!
DrDamage displays the calculated damage or healing of abilities with talents, gear and buffs included on your actionbar buttons. The addon also adds various statistics to the tooltips in your spellbook and on the actionbar.
Slash Commands:
/drd or /drdmg or /drdamage
Localization:
If you want to help having this addon translated into your language visit: http://www.wowace.com/projects/dr-damage/localization/
Functionality:
- Supports all classes
- Actionbar addons supported: Default, Bartender 4, CT_BarMod, Dominos, elvUI, Macaroon, Nurfed AB, IPopBar, nUI, ReAction Bars and RDX.
- Places text with the metric of your choosing on the actionbar buttons.
- Damage and healing statistics are placed into your tooltips. This includes for example critical hit chance, spell damage and damage coefficients, averages, DPS, DPSC (damage per seconds cast), damage until OOM and more!
- Your own buffs and your target's debuffs are taken into account.
- Allows manual modification of the essential talents, buffs and character stats used to calculate. For example you can test how much increasing your spellpower by 100 would increase your damage or healing output.
- If you're overwhelmed by the amount of statistics presented, you can use the options reduce the amount to whatever you feel is important!

Thanks for all the great work.
I'm playing a paladin atm, and I'm noticing that the dmg calculation for Crusader Strike is consistently way off. Crusader Strike's base dmg is 75% of weapon damage, but it looks like it's calculated like it had the old 110% of base dmg.
The calculated damage is 383-465 with an average of 424, but actual damage is more like somewhere in the 200s.
This makes sense as talents bump the 110% to 138% and the 75% to 93%
(424/139%) * 93% = 284
Cheers :)
DrDamage uses 75% weapon damage for Crusader Strike. Thus in fact the difference can be explained by enemy armor. Crusader Strike deals physical damage, so unless you specify DrDamage to take enemy armor into account (can be done in the options), you're going to see numbers against unarmored targets, which will naturally be too high.
Im Using dr Damage for a very long time now and recently i use it to get item scaling values for my Pawn addon. Your Comparison of the stats is a great help there ( 1 Crit equals X.XXHit|X.XX Haste and so on). As i am playing a Mage it would be nice if i could activate this feature for Int and Spirit Because they also effect the DPS. So my smaller suggestion is that you wuld include these Options.
As a larger Suggestion i would like an Option where i can extract a string that i can directly use for Pawn. I know the 2nd Suggestion is asked a lot but i Think the first one is easy to realize and would complete this awesome addon. Keep up the good work.
Regarding the 2nd suggestion, in what format would the string have to be? I've never used Pawn.
Ok at first my pawn Scale in the Format in which you can import into Pawn: ( Pawn: v1: "FFB Mage Hit Capped": Intellect=0.2, RedSocket=23, CritRating=0.71, HasteRating=0.91, BlueSocket=16.97, YellowSocket=21.1, SpellPower=1, Spirit=0.497, GemQualityLevel=82 )
"( Pawn: v1: "name of the Scale": " ist just the Head and the term in the "" is the name of the scale allthough i think you figured that allready out. The Values behind the = show the power of this Attribute.
All the Numbers are relative values. I just the all in relation to Spellpower because SP is the mainattibute for me. The last Argument "GemQualityLevel=82 " just describes the quality of the gems Pawn uses for his calculation if you dont add them manually. As far as i know GemQualityLevel=82 stand for the latest Epic gems. I hope this helps
It's just a bit too much compared to the usefulness for most DrDamage users and I don't want to bloat the addon.
Is anyone else having WoW crash unless they disable DrDamage?
I don't understand how lua based addons can crash anything, but it seems to be the case
What kind of crash are we talking about here? Can you provide more information?

- Added possibility to display GCD of instant casts in the tooltip by enabling the option for additional mana usage information

It's annoying but it should correct itself once something else triggers an update.
I'm not exactly sure what'd be a good solution for this problem, but I'll try to keep it in mind.
