DrDamage
Update 05/24/2013
DrDamage is currently being developed for 5.x. Only monks (of any spec) are not supported. All classes which existed prior to Mists are supported.
Current state: Check the http://www.wowace.com/addons/dr-damage/pages/known-issues Page before providing feedback!
DrDamage displays the calculated damage or healing of abilities with talents, gear and buffs included on your actionbar buttons. The addon also adds various statistics to the tooltips in your spellbook and on the actionbar.
Slash Commands:
/drd or /drdmg or /drdamage

Functionality:
- Supports all classes
- Actionbar addons supported: Default, Bartender 4, CT_BarMod, Dominos, elvUI, Macaroon, Nurfed AB, IPopBar, nUI, ReAction Bars and RDX.
- Places text with the metric of your choosing on the actionbar buttons.
- Damage and healing statistics are placed into your tooltips. This includes for example critical hit chance, spell damage and damage coefficients, averages, DPS, DPSC (damage per seconds cast), damage until OOM and more!
- Your own buffs and your target's debuffs are taken into account.
- Allows manual modification of the essential talents, buffs and character stats used to calculate. For example you can test how much increasing your spellpower by 100 would increase your damage or healing output.
- If you're overwhelmed by the amount of statistics presented, you can use the options reduce the amount to whatever you feel is important!

Well asking someone to put around a hundred hours of work into a game I don't even play or enjoy could be considered rude, but what do I know.
Well, may I be wrong, but everybody loves money !
And, if you did this very well done job, I presume that you like this game ! but, if you don't like it anymore, and consider rude people ask for your work in this great addon, just give up and pass it ! I don't wanna sound rude or nothing similar, but I really don't get the point !
See ya!
i would love to see this one back aswell, or someone that takes it over & updates it. been nearly 7 months since it got an update. If anyone knows a mod that does a similar thing on the AB's do let me know.
Still no update for DrDamage?:(
HOW MUCH? We need this back!!!
100 bucks?
Factory workers in China make way more than what that would translate into per hour :)
i want this addon back!
How much could persuade you to get this back out before Thanksgiving?
Seriously, give us a number. WE NEED THIS. You sir are like a crack dealer of information, we need our fix.
I really need this Addon. It´s so helpfull 4 me 2 play at my limits. Whis this Addon I can allways see any Procs in realtime and when i can use any trinkets or abilitys for max dps output, because of the realtime calculation. I need the realtime average dmg in my spell icons, this is so much important 4 my gameplay.
I realy hope for an update.
Any plans for an update to 5.0.5?
Lets hope it gets an update
Sad to see it go... but thank you for such a useful tool. It was always a big help when learning new classes and trying new combos. In hopes that it will one day live on, I won't uninstall it... I'll just disable the good Doctor and let him sleep for a while.
Cheers,
Worcester
Great add-on. I hope to see it updated.
I encourage those who have a little cash to spare to use the donate button above. I submitted a modest sum and sent a note to the developer. Any amount will help, I am sure. Also, do encourage the author to recruit a developer to maintain the project while s/he is vacationing outside Azeroth. An add-on of this scope and magnitude should be a team effort, like the game we so love!
Again, please reward good work by supporting the mods you depend on.
I'm no programer, so I'm more than willing to admit I'm wrong here, but it seems to me that all the complicated math Gagorian has mentioned is already necesarily done by the game itself. I mean, when I hit a murlock, doen't the engine have to do all that to figure out how hard I hit him? Wouldn't it be possible for a programer to just get the report from the game rather than building a seperate program to do the calculations? If that's possible wouldn't it be a fairly simple matter to add different multipliers to display the information in different forms? (i.e. DPS, Overall, Total, ext...) I'm not trying to rip on anybody or belittle their work, I'm just hoping that simplifying the process might make it easier to upkeep the addon becasue there's nothing else like it and *I* certanly can't do that kind of math.
I think in the past that some of this math has been hidden behind the scenes. That said, the 5.0 tooltips have a value for the damage the spell should do, and that seems to update based on your gear. If there was a way to pull that value and display it on the button, you'd probably have a fairly effective Dr. Damage Lite.
It's not feasible to reverse engineer the values from the game, it'd be less accurate and just as complex to do that. Unless the values are calculated internally within the addon there's no accurate way to do the predictions DrDamage does.
That's possible but that also reduces the amount of information to a bare minimum of what is provided at the moment. It's also well known that Blizzard tooltips can be highly inaccurate and do not contain every bonus.
Listen money talks. How much do you need? lol
You have over 2 million downloads. Set a price you need and well start donating.
Just update for this expansion and buy yourself a boat and well all be happy :)
At first glance I didn't see the importance of this addon, I fiddled with it anyway. Play with it for a while, you'll understand it's pretty badassed. It does the math for you and tells you what spells/skills do what damage,in live time, even taking into the effect the target's defensive properties. So you're curious if helmet A does more damage when spell X procs effect Z than helmet B with just a plain lot of stat C? Wonder no more, Dr. Damage is making housecalls. Don't raid at home without it.
Unfortunately this isn't working as of late since 5.0.4 dropped. I really hope to see more of this addon in the future. :-) (It's saved me a lot of headache, I'm happy to throw down some money if that might entice the programmer)
Gagorian, tnx for keeping it up for so long even when you did not play the game anymore .Can Gongolosky give it a go? I'd appreciate that very much. Better give it a go then let it die. That would waste all the time you have put into it.
