DrDamage
Update 05/24/2013
DrDamage is currently being developed for 5.x. Only monks (of any spec) are not supported. All classes which existed prior to Mists are supported.
Current state: Check the http://www.wowace.com/addons/dr-damage/pages/known-issues Page before providing feedback!
DrDamage displays the calculated damage or healing of abilities with talents, gear and buffs included on your actionbar buttons. The addon also adds various statistics to the tooltips in your spellbook and on the actionbar.
Slash Commands:
/drd or /drdmg or /drdamage
Localization:
If you want to help having this addon translated into your language visit: http://www.wowace.com/projects/dr-damage/localization/
Functionality:
- Supports all classes
- Actionbar addons supported: Default, Bartender 4, CT_BarMod, Dominos, elvUI, Macaroon, Nurfed AB, IPopBar, nUI, ReAction Bars and RDX.
- Places text with the metric of your choosing on the actionbar buttons.
- Damage and healing statistics are placed into your tooltips. This includes for example critical hit chance, spell damage and damage coefficients, averages, DPS, DPSC (damage per seconds cast), damage until OOM and more!
- Your own buffs and your target's debuffs are taken into account.
- Allows manual modification of the essential talents, buffs and character stats used to calculate. For example you can test how much increasing your spellpower by 100 would increase your damage or healing output.
- If you're overwhelmed by the amount of statistics presented, you can use the options reduce the amount to whatever you feel is important!

For rogues it would be really nice to show as if always having 5 points if there arent any. Otherwise you have to find someone to let you get some combo points on them and look at the tooltip in combat. Usually people dont just let you take a 30 second break in the middle of a fight.
Also, I dont think there is anyway around this, but just FYI. If you use macros with modifers then it will not display the tooltip. I use the shift modifier to alternate, for example, between using hemo and shiv on the same button. Because I dont want to use #showtooltip Shiv because that would mean it always shows shiv, and dosnt show hemo when im holding the modifier, or visa versa. If anyone knows a work around for this, id appreciate it.
Setting to always show 5 combo points has been available for some time in the latest wowace release. Update from there or wait until 2.4 when I release a new version here.
And yes, there's unfortunately no good workaround for the problem with castsequence/modifier macros.
When I change my ammunition it does not appear to affect the damage dr damage reports me as dealing, is this a know bug, or unique?
I tested this and it seems to update correctly. What abilities are you looking at? Some abilities aren't affected by ammunition like arcane shot, steady shot, serpent sting and so.
I think i found an error, not sure... on my frostbolt tooltip it shows that i have a 94.71% chance to hit level 73 (boss) mobs, but on other frost and fire spells a 3% less chance, but i "only" have 72 spellhit (+5.71%) rating and the Elemental Precision talent (+3%), which should give a maximum ToHit chance of 91.71%... is there any hidden spellhit bonus applied to only the frostbolt, but to nothing else, coming from a different talent that i dont know of??? well, manual variables are turned off and talents arent changed in the addon itself...
EDIT: i've played a little with the Modify Talent function, and it tells me that the Elemental Precision effect will be applied twice to the frostbolt only, giving 2% per point spent...
There is apparently a bug with elemental precision which causes it to give twice its hit bonus to frostbolt. You can read about it at Elitist Jerks forums for example. They seem to call it ghost hit.
Two questions... I'm trying to compare to gearsets for my destro warlock. The set I have now uses quagmirran's eye (which proc's 320 spell haste for 6 seconds) I also have a weapon and a meta gem that all have similar effects. Will drdamage take these proc's into account when trying to compare that gear set with a more conventional +spell dmg/crit/hit type setup?
2nd question.. is drdamage taking all warlock talents into account for +spell crit? I should receive +8% spell crit from talents, but Drdamage is only showing +5% (the crit bonus from one talent, but not the other) am I just reading things incorrectly?
Thanks in advance!
Proc effects are not taken into account into averages, but the damage will update accordingly when it procs.
Backlash is already taken into account on your char screen crit, so it won't be added separately.
I can't get this to work with Trinity2 bars (Using beta 27 atm).
It's suppsedly made to work with the 2.4 patch (Trinity2 that is) so maybe there is some change in the way the buttons are handled that don't work between the two addons now? ... As the Trinity2 beta (if I got it correct now) is made for 2.4 but got some extra addon with it that makes it work with 2.3 ...
Support should be fixed in the latest wowace release.
Heya, I was just wondering if anyone else is getting their druids melee attacks (claw, maul etc) listed with higher damage then what is actually happening, with my warlock the damages are much more accurate, but my druid is always overestimated. Any ideas?
Cheers
Your Druid's melee attacks are reduced by the target's armor. Your Warlock's spell attacks are not reduced by your target's armor, only by your target's resistances; and usually your spells will not be partially resisted.
will there be any support for spell HASTE on any new version
i will like to see something like the +1%/22.08 crit -------------- +6.9(6.8 +Dmg) but applied to haste
thanks
Shield Mastery adds dmg to shield slam. Blizz block tooltip is currently an accurate source.
Also not sure, but may want to add zone wide buffs...pretty minor though. (noticed in zang)
Is there a way to get the default Blizzard tooltips to show up on the action bars in addition to the one from DrDamage, the same way it does in the spellbook? I can't remember what all of my spells do when I play a character that I haven't been using too long and it would be very helpful.
DrDamage does not alter this behaviour. Turn on the advanced tooltips in the blizzard interface options (Under the ESC menu), which you have probably disabled.
Ah ha, thanks much. I had downloaded DrDamage in conjunction with PhotekUI X7. The UI replacement process reset most of the options I had set. Thanks again Gagorian.
i wanna know what is the difference between the numbers in and out of the parentheses, in this part of the annalysis
+1%/22.08 crit -------------- +6.9(6.8 +Dmg)
+1%/12.62 hit ----------------+20.1(19.7 +Dmg)
i am trying to get stat values but i am not sure what is the difference between those numbers, cause i can give crit a value of 6.8 or 6.9 , so wut does each one is reffering to

thanks
First value is increase in average total damage per spell cast, 2nd value is the amount of +dmg required for an equivalent increase.
thanks a lot
would it be anything like it but for spellhaste?
