DrDamage
Update 05/24/2013
DrDamage is currently being developed for 5.x. Only monks (of any spec) are not supported. All classes which existed prior to Mists are supported.
Current state: Check the http://www.wowace.com/addons/dr-damage/pages/known-issues Page before providing feedback!

What's happening is the talent Darkness was being auto-set each time, but the result is the calculation is double what it should be. Manulally resetting to 0 reflects a more acturate damage count. No manually selected auras are applied. Really not sure of a better way to explain; I did not test this on a warlock, so the "problem" seemed to be just a priest one.
It'd be better if the talents were automatically set to 0, and saved that way, because 0 seems to calculate more accurately.
It's possible there is some problem with my own settings and not the add-on itself, however I have attempted to correct it several times.
It says that FlexBar2 is supported, but I just switched from Trinity Bars to FlexBar2 and I no longer have damage numbers on my buttons. The tooltips still work but I got awfully attached to seeing my average damage on each button. Is that feature unsupported in FlexBar2? Also, I no longer have a tooltip at all for my steadyshot macro (which includes #showtooltip Steady Shot), when I did with Trinity.
Did I break it somehow?
I have the latest versions of both addons.
Do you have both latest wowace releases? If you'd confirm that before I start looking into it.
They were the latest wowace releases as of my post. I just checked and both addons have had slight version changes, so I redownloaded and checked again to be sure. Using FlexBar2-r5824.18 and DrDamage-r78845. Still no action bar text and no tooltips for macros. I also went through and doublechecked all the options, yes "Actionbar Text On" is checked, etc. :)
Thanks for looking into it.
Add $(drd) tag to the textsubs in FB2 options for the actionbartext.
I have a question, I somewhat understand the Coeff line but not fully, could you tell me what the 3 numbers are? The 2nd number im sure is the % the spell uses from you +dmg etc.
First is final coefficient like talents (for example warlock shadow mastery for shadow spells), curses (like CoS) and whatever.
2nd is spelldamage/healing/AP coefficient or whatever.
3rd is +dmg/+heal/+AP/+RAP whatever applies.
There is a problem with the profiles.
Whenever I make a change to either the Realm>Character profile, or the Default, those settings are reset when I log back on to the character after quitting.
What's happening with that, is the Darkness talent (and others) are being double calculated, because Drdamage is detecting my talents, then setting itself to whatever I have. When I set the talents to 0, all the values appear to more accuratly reflect the actual damage I do.
I dont see this problem with Shadow Focus or Improved Pain, and it actually does not accurately calculate the damage if I were to set those to 0 as well.
I'm not exactly following what actually is happening. Can you give me instructions how to reproduce it? Make sure you RESET settings before doing this.
As manually selected talents are not stored between sessions.. and talents are always detected on changes and logging in, I don't see how this 'double calculation' is happening.
Are you sure you just don't have any manually selected auras like Curse of Shadow applying in your other profile?
Where do i post error messages?
half and half here.
just to let you know, works fine with both Bartender3 and cleanbarsadvanced.
however, on my hunter / warrior all work fine on main bar ( blizz bar 1, the intelligent swap bar ) but since i have my standard melee ( non-stance dependant for warrior and all melee for hunter ) on the top left action bar ( though moved due to cleanbars ) i get no value on autoattack though raptor / mongoose / heroic etc. all show fine and update with skillups / levelups .
on my casters all work fine with spells showing both positive and negative ( damage / heal ) colours but autoattack again ( not wand ) shows no value even when the rest are updated or i change talent / level / stats due to outfit.
any idea why this happens, or is it just something that happens when autoattack isn't on bar 1>
Well, I can't figure out any specific reason from your explanation. Try updating to latest wowace release.
just a question: in the dps row there's a number + another number; e.g. 1032.8+32
what does it mean?
thank you
For example.. The Lightning Capacitor trinket (a guesstimation of the bonus)
Wonderful job, will put this in my UI project.
May have wrote to you about this, so I am just posting the suggestion for everyone else to see, too.
I noticed that not all the spells are getting a tool-tip or actonbar numberplate. These spells, on my priest and warlock, are not necesserily damage/healing spells, but they do gain bonus healing or damage effects from +damage and talents. Those spells include:
- Resurrection
- Mana Burn
- Drain Mana
- Shadow Ward
- Health Funnel
According to a Blizzard GM, Resurrection can critical hit like any other healing spell.
Mana Burn gains a coefficient from Shadowform and other talents (but not all), which are listed on the corespionding Wow Wiki page.
Shadow Ward does have a numberplate, but is missing a tooltip.
Hi there.
Well, most of those have been intentionally left unhandled. Resurrection is hardly a spell you need much theorycraft on. Mana Burn and Drain Mana are both mostly static spells, kinda borderline cases if they're useful to add. Also the tooltip texts wouldn't really make sense for them, cause it'd be called "damage" or whatever, and I won't make more tooltip localizations for a tiny detail like that. I haven't bothered with Health Funnel, maybe...
Shadow Ward could get a stripped tooltip, with just a few metrics. I disabled it as most of the information wouldn't apply.
I can see what of those would warrant adding and what not.
I think the mana drain effect is static, but I can not tell for certain. The damage portion of Mana Burn appears to go up accordingly when certain damage-enhancements are in place, which is why I am curious about the mechanic of that. At least, it would be useful to know the DPS of such a spell, and how much damage will be dealt under those certain circumstances.
DrDamage, Healbot and User Keys are probably the best add-ons I've used. You are doing a great job so far.
I have a little problem, the addon is working fine displaying the info in the tooltips and calculating the data properly but i cant get the data to be show in the actions bars. I dont get any error message so i asume that my other addons arent messing this one. In the action bars settings and marked the avgtotal option but it doesnt show any info at all. I use bongos3, x-perl, omen, swstats and titan panel and pally power addons. can you help me with this?
