DrDamage
Update 05/24/2013
DrDamage is currently being developed for 5.x. Only monks (of any spec) are not supported. All classes which existed prior to Mists are supported.
Current state: Check the http://www.wowace.com/addons/dr-damage/pages/known-issues Page before providing feedback!
DrDamage displays the calculated damage or healing of abilities with talents, gear and buffs included on your actionbar buttons. The addon also adds various statistics to the tooltips in your spellbook and on the actionbar.
Slash Commands:
/drd or /drdmg or /drdamage

Functionality:
- Supports all classes
- Actionbar addons supported: Default, Bartender 4, CT_BarMod, Dominos, elvUI, Macaroon, Nurfed AB, IPopBar, nUI, ReAction Bars and RDX.
- Places text with the metric of your choosing on the actionbar buttons.
- Damage and healing statistics are placed into your tooltips. This includes for example critical hit chance, spell damage and damage coefficients, averages, DPS, DPSC (damage per seconds cast), damage until OOM and more!

- If you're overwhelmed by the amount of statistics presented, you can use the options reduce the amount to whatever you feel is important!

Thats the definition of trolling, how is it that Ecwfrk is being irrelevant ?
I like this mod, as do many others, we all want a fix, some people are willing to try the older versions rather than create an "Ace" Account and DL the alphas, that being the case they are going to have problems and naturally part of the human condition is to leap before looking then cry when you land into a bed of thorns at the bottom. We all should know this, and given the fact that you've taken it upon your shoulders Mr Dally to carry this mod to the next evolutionary period forward, you should think about that, because taking on a responsibility doesn't come in piecemeal you take the whole thing or nothing at all, the good and the bad, the bad in this case is that there are people like you and me who are going to have issues warranted or not it's not very tactful to slander others because of them.
I'm sorry for ranting a bit, just seemed to me after reading the posts the last few weeks "Ecwfrk" over analyzed things and let a few comments get to him where they shouldn't much like engaging in /1 general chat in the game, we all know crap flows freely in gen chat, yet all of us at one point in time or another jump into the pool to add our 2cp. That being said, doesn't mean he's trolling, neither am i, no one said posting on these boards was strictly for debugging. It's also for fans of the mod to voice their, Opinions, concerns and comments which is exactly what this is, my opinions and comments.
That's 3 out of the 4 criteria in your definition. That's trolling.
I would VERY MUCH like this discussion to end here.
No one has to strong-arm you, you don't even have to admit it. Everyone can just read how you responded to an otherwise helpful (albeit misinformed) comment and plainly see it for themselves. I don't care how old you are, you have some growing up to do. This isn't to say that other people here don't, but it's not very hard to scroll back through these posts and see where things went awry.
Now, is there anyone else who would like to comment on my apparent lack of tact, or can we move on and focus on the mod?
It's not surprising that's how you would interpret it. Your inability to comprehend the posts of others is what started the issue in the first place.
"I simply asked of the users that they put a little more effort into their research prior to their posts."
And we simply asked that you do the same thing. And you continue to refuse.
Ironic isn't it?
Why would I do that? That'd be like boycotting Pepsi because the counter jockey at the convenience store was a jerk.
You reign over nothing. This is Gagorian's mod. You're just the coder riding his coattails during his current period of disintrest.
Your attitude here is highly disrespectful to the person who actually did the real work. And he did it without demands, without complaint, and without the need to be "terse" towards those who he was making the mod for.
It's no wonder he wishes to maintain ownership of the mod.
I've posted an update here that should fill in the details.
I use an somewhat old alpha version know that works on my mage atleast(When I updated it, my mage stopped working too). I really miss the addona nd looking forward to get it again.
Kudos for all the great work you put in.
In r740 the shadowpriest spells are marginally incorrect for Mind blast (shows ~7% too high). All Shadowpriest DOTS are Significantly incorrect now that Crit Modifies our dmg. Vamperic Touch (shows ~75% too low), Devouring Plague (shows ~40% too low), Shadow Word: Pain (shows ~7% too low). Shadow Word: Death seems to be ok by my rough tests.
That means the function DrDamage:Calc(name, rank, tooltip, modify) and the results?
Ecwfrk, the fact that you have gone out of your way to argue with me shows that you're really only here to troll. Please don't post here any further on this particular topic. You're welcome to continue the noble fight against my draconian reign by boycotting the mod.
Nobody is beneath anyone here (as I recall, you're the one making the anti-social teenager remarks, not me). I simply asked of the users that they put a little more effort into their research prior to their posts. I did not make degenerating comments, I did not resort to personal attacks.
I hope we can leave it at this and carry on with our lives: discussion over.
And there are some who who don't take the time to comprehend what they read before responding like an anti-social teenager.
He wasn't asking for anything from *you*. He wasn't even addressing you at all. He was offering help in fixing the problems with the official version that is posted here on Curse. The comments section here is not meant to be used to support some version of a mod that is hosted on another site by some random person that he would prefer people not be able to access at all.
If you want people to stay on the topic of your release then you need to release it via Curse under your own project (or petition Curse to officially take over this one). Until then, you have no right to demand anything of anyone and you certainly have no right to chastise someone for also working to correct the errors in this mod.
His post was entirely appropriate for here. Your response was not accurate, deserved, relevant or appreciated in any way.
"Meanwhile, the unnecessary post knocks other potentially useful posts out of sight."
And what has your "terse" comment towards someone who DID NOT deserve to be addressed in such a way ended up accomplishing?
"I'm not going to sugarcoat my responses, and I'm sorry that some people think I must in order to be civil."
There's a difference between sugarcoating responses and being respectful of others. Respect is a two way street. If you refuse to give it, don't complain when you do not receive it in kind.
While we appreciate your efforts in fixing this mod, it does not give you the right to treat the users of this site as if they are beneath you.
