Elkano's BuffBars
EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.
Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.
Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.
In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Posted Apr 29, 2007rly like this addon however i was woundering if u cud make it availavle in different colours? the blue overlay is nice its just it stands out alot as the rest of my ui is all black. Great work though ^^

Posted Apr 18, 2007yes and no. With WoW 2.1.0 time info on these debuffs is available via API and EBB will use that data if you set up a buff/debuff group for the target. Besides that I won't add code to make it track these spells since there are other addons dedicated to that task eg Chronometer.

Posted Mar 30, 2007Hi Elkano. I use your mod together with a pack called Photek UI. I've been using a hell lot of other BuffBars, but yours are truely the best. But in earlier Photek UI versions, the BuffBars had other Skins/Smoothness if you understand what I mean. Is there any way to change the skins now? I really want another skin for the buffbars :)

Any fix for the poison issue?
With my Rogue (and the 18941 release), and poison buff bars don't display properly. Though the poisons are all 30-minute buffs and the numeric display shows the correct amount of time remaining, the bars themselves never really shorten. It looks like they're being calculated at at extremely long duration (maybe 30 hours?), as by the time the poison duration is about to run out, the bar has shortened by a miniscule amount.
Only happens with poisons as far as I can tell (other weapon buffs like Oils work fine). It does happen with all types of poisons though. And the number of charges of poison remaining don't seem to have any effect on the bar length, so that doesn't seem to be the issue.
Great add-on though. Please keep up the fantastic work.

Posted Feb 25, 2007I noticed in a screenshot someone had smoothed out buffbars any ideas how to do it, cant find the right parameter for it.
