Enchant Check
Enchant Check allows you to quick-check your gear or the gear of the player you are currently inspecting: It shows a short report which tells you:
- If all equipped gear is enchanted
- If all sockets have gems
- If there are any empty equipment slots
- If you wear items with very low item-level compared to your average item-level (e.g., Fishing Poles, Cooking Hats)
It does NOT tell you, whether you chose the right enchants, gems, or items. It simply serves as a quick way to tell you where you need to look.

In reply to Jdemast12679:
Are there new glove enchants incoming that the check is for, or is this just to check for professional enchants (which may or may not be applicable to every character?)
Gloves were added just for the profession enchants (which not everyone will want).
Shoulders were added because of all the "Boon" enchants that are available.
Do you think they should be optional?
Enchant Check 7.1.5.2 has been released.
Known Issue:
The iLvl of artifact weapons is sometimes reported as 750 instead of the true iLvl.
Please open a issue on the Project Site if you find any problems or inaccuracies (and be specific, examples and/or screenshots are very helpful).
is this working for legion?
Is there any way to make this addon more automatic? If I'm going to forget to gem/enchant/equip my gear, then I'm definitely going to forget to press the "Check" button. It would be nice to have a warning pop up when I've failed a check.
ETA: Actually, if we could have the option to make it so that the "check screen" permanently stays up (even across client restarts, maybe by virtually "auto-pressing" the Check button at client startup ), that would really solve my problem, since then it would be right there as soon as I open my character pane.
Is there a slash command for this addon? If so, maybe I could simply macro it in.
Either way, very helpful addon!
The "Check" button on the character frame interferes with the addon Armory. I've entered a ticket on the project site with a patch to reduce the size and location of the Enchant Check button.
Hi,
Regarding WoD changes, ilvl 600 or above "Held In Off-hand" or shields items are reported as not enchanted (which is impossible to enchant them), therefore classes that don't have dual-wield which means they don't hold a weapon in off hand, this addon should not report the item as being unenchanted.
Thanks, changed it accordingly.
Hello. A great Addon!!
I've been using it for over 6 months now and it has proven very useful. Combining all good stuff from several addons.
I just want to check if there is an update for 6.0.2
Currently bugs are:
- Showing incorrect, lower average item level
- Still checking for profession-related enchants (like enchanting rings, socket bracers, ... etc)
An update for level 100 is finally there. Not sure if I missed something regarding the changes in WoD...
Any way to get this into the tooltip?
Also to get it to inspect just by hovering over the players raid frame?
Many thanks for a great addon!
Maybe. I was already pondering to include a raid-check and report a summary to the chat window. Not sure when it will come, though ;)
It would make it a fantastic addon for me as a guild and raid leader to check easily who is slacking in my team :D
Looks like button doesn't show up when using the "Examiner" addon.
Also, the average iLevel is off.
Thanks. Examiner seems to modify the inspection frame quite a bit. I'll keep it in mind and think about an alternative in such situations...
Yeah, I haven't looked up any formular for the ilvl yet, I just used a simple average.
Now also considers upgraded items for item-level calculations. This should fix it (well the part with the average item-level).
