EnhancedLFG
1) Replaces the zone column with "spec"
2) Colors classes by thier class color
3) Colors level by its level difference to you
4) Adds spec to the dropdown on the who frame
5) Colors the text on the who frame like LFG (The code is almost identical)
6) You cannot sort based on the spec column. It will sort by zone or name instead.
Will display spec for other players running RockComm-1.0, so not everyone will have thier spec listed. RockComm is part of may popular addons such as Cartographer, FuBar, Pitbull, and CowTip, so there will be an existing userbase which this will work with.
You can remove AuldLangSyne's guild module, thats a second option.
Sylvanaar, are you able to see if you can you make ELFG compatible with AuldLangSyne?

Both are fighting for control of the guild panel area.
Thanks :)
Hi Cal, there's really no way to activate it. It should just run when it's on.
As in, open up the /who frame, select 'spec' from the drop down list and who ever is running this add-on (as well as a few other add-ons that make use of the same library file), well those people will return to the /who frame what spec they are.
There's no configuration, it's auto.
Bring up the LFG frame and it should have a spec list there too.
Same with guild, but for me, the guild area is broken cause I use another add-on called AuldLangSyne. But yeah, there shouldn't be anything to configure or 'activate' mate.
I am not sure of what to do on this but I installed it but I can't seem to activate it or access it can you please let me know what I may be doing wrong?

Found the bug.
Your addon ain't compatible with AuldLangSyne.
AuldLangSyne changes level colour, class colour etc within the guild area too.
Seems like they are fighting.
AuldLangSyne does a lot of good things, if I had to choose, I'd use AuldLangSyne over EnhancedLFG, but I ideally would like to use both.
Is there anyway for you to only mod the Spec section of the GuildList and not level or class etc in case we are using other mods that do this for us? or indeed if there is a way to check for AuldLangSyne?
Wierd, its working fine here.

Strange... I think found a Who-Lib bug... o.O
...that pops up pointing to WIM/... .../Who-Lib
It occurs when I have Enhanced LFG installed, change to the /who frame and have no one listed in it then click the zone tab for sorting.
Forgotten the line number off hand, I think it was 509 or 506 of the Who-Lib .lua. Returned a nil value.
Guessing either the Who-Lib doesn't catch the error if a nil value is sent to it, or Enhanced LFG doesn't double check if it is a nil value and fix it before sending.
^-- that was in previous version - just noticed you have an update. Going to try it now. :)

The next version of WoW will allow you to see someone's spec by inspecting them.
It will also color the class names in the Who, Guild, and LFM frames by default, however level numbers still wont be colored.
Every now and then, and I don't know what is causing it nor am I able to reproduce it (which sucks for debugging); but every now and then in the 'who frame', all of the drop down list items: "Zone, Guild, Race, Spec" are ticked.
Don't know if you've had that or seen it happen yet Sylvanaar, but it's happened to me a few times. Doesn't seem to break the end result though (still shows the right columns when clicked etc).
Just thought I'd mention it anyways, just wish I could reproduce it on my end.
This just replaces the visible UI with somethign else. The game still thinks its showing zone in that column, hence if you try sorting on it you will actually be sorting by zone.
yeah I know that about the sorting, but what I mean is, every column within that drop down list becomes 'Ticked'
Sure thing. I'll see what i can do.
One thing, can you do a check, um, how can I explain...
Bring who list up, mouse over things and whatever... If someone goes offline but is still listed, you get a general chat spam: No player named 'x' is currently playing.
Can you catch this before it hits the general chat channel?
Much like Pazza caught and filtered out his pings from displaying people who just went offline.
:)
Awesome job matie!
Love the who list with the spec listed.
Any chance you could do the same to the guild frame to see what spec your guildies are? (saves asking them too)
