Farmhand
Description
Farmhand adds dynamic buttons on the screen while you are at Sunsong Ranch.
The buttons allow quick access to the Plow, Shovel, Bug Spray and Watering Can if they are in your inventory. If you do not have a given item, there will be no button for it. Also adds buttons for seeds that are in your inventory. You can even sell unwanted seeds at a vendor without having to open your bags.
When you leave Halfhill, any tools remaining in your inventory will be dropped. You can pick them up again at the farm. (You can disable this feature.)
A special Crop Scanner tool will let you quickly find any plants you've overlooked that need special attention. (Very hand for the hard-to see Smothered and Runty plants.)
To move the buttons, hold SHIFT and drag a button with the left mouse button.
In the Interface Options panel, you can turn on/off tool dropping, turn on/off chat messages and sounds, turn on/off the portal shard buttons and control whether Farmhand automatically hides itself during combat.
I recommend using Masque (optional) to make your buttons pretty.
Localization
Farmhand has translations for all game-supported locales, but if you see a bad translation please visit the localization page and correct it. Then let me know so I can repackage the addon to pick up the changes.
Thanks to all the translators!

Change the first line of farmhand.toc from:
to the following:
Just to clear up any confusion, anyone can make this fix:
Close WoW if running. Open the farmhand.toc file in your Interface/AddOns/Farmhand directory with any text editor. Make the edit shown, save, and restart WoW. It will work great without needing "load out of date addons" option checked.
A small error by the dev that I'm sure will be corrected soon. Addon works great in 6.0.2 otherwise.
Ah yes, I did make an error there. Doesn't seem to have any ill effects for me, though. What are you seeing?
I'll fix the toc version and republish.
WoW was labeling it as out of date. Odd, given that you had the toc above 60000 but that's WoW sometimes. Checking load out of date would allow it to load fine but that's dicy now as so many addons are broken.
Works now, thanks! Best farm addon ever.
One small request: Please add a seedbag quantity check so the addon will use the ones with fewer charges first if more than one of the same type exists. Farmhand adds them up and the single button is great but would be nice to use up ones with fewer charges first and free up a bagslot.
I deleted and reinstalled this addon, but it still doesn't work with new patch. Hope it works soon because this is a great addon!
Addons screen still thinks this is an out of date addon
I came to this addon far, far too late. But I just wanted to say thank you; I appreciated it immensely!
@JCinDE
I am using the most current Masque version (v5.4.396) and I did delete ButtonFacade and was still having problems with the icon textures. I should have been more specific in that it was Masque: Renaitre that was creating the problem.
@420Bunny
Update Masque and all the Masque styles you have installed. Don't use ButtonFacade (it's an old version of Masque) and if you have any styles designed for ButtonFacade, check if there is a newer Masque version.
@JCinDE
Looks like Masque is the culprit :(
@420Bunny
It's almost certainly one of your other mods, but I couldn't begin to guess which. Only way for you to figure it out would be process of elimination. Keep Farmhand enabled and disable roughly half of your other addons alphabetically. Say A-M. If the problem still happens then re-enable those and disable N-Z. If the problem stops then re-enable N-S. And so on. You'll eventually narrow it down.
One thing you might look at first is that you seem to have Masque and ButtonFacade. Masque replaced ButtonFacade. ButtonFacade is obsolete.
Great addon, but recently I have been having issues with the icons not appearing correctly; they are either blacked out or grabbing another texture (once it was a world map :P). Logging out, disabling, logging out, re-enabling will fix the problem but I thought I'd bring it up. Also it happens on random characters and random icons in the same bag ( songbell seed bag will appear normally, but windshear seed bag will be blacked out...)
I'm guessing it is from interference from another mod, but I use so many it would be difficult for me to pinpoint... (perhaps from ArkInventory, Masque: Renaitre, ButtonFacade: Renaitre, Extended Vendor UI, BuyEmAll... mods which I use that modify inventory textures...)
once again, amazing addon! thank you so much.
two things i have noticed and tested to be true for me:
thank you again, i tell everyone about this addon and how much easier it makes literally "farming" - a definite shining star in the sea of addons! thank you *bows*
edit: i see comments about the "bursting" crops, and i can't help but agree, as i would almost ALWAYS want to leave it burtsting and collect it the next day. an option would be fantastic, as i'm sure many such as myself don't see "bursting" as something that needs to be addressed in the garden before leaving it for the day. one thing at least used to be, "listen to the drunk" achievement where you needed to wait for bursting crops to get that part of the acheivement. it just would be a nice option.
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for such an efficient add-on. I have been using my 2nd action bar and an addon called "FlyoutButton Custom" to make my farming easiler. This add-on beats that method right out of the gate. it brings up everything i have in my bag for farming without haveing to search my bags to see what I have and even makes sure that my farming tools are dropped in a safe place while I travel to places they will not be used. And the feature that checks for any problems that might have been missed to avoid bad suprises the next day...inspired. You shoud get some kind of commendation from Blizzard for comming up sith something that makes farming so much less tedius. Again:
THANK YOU
sorry if this has already been addressed. i skimmed (albeit quickly) and didn't see anything -- can you add an option to have it ignore 'bursting' when it does it's *needs attention* on the crop scan... an odd request perhaps, but when i need to wait until next day (to pick up the second half of the quest, for example)
i have more than once harvested the whatnot early by being stupid and r'cliking it w/o thinking and screwing up the DQ by harvesting it before i had the quest and then having to make up for it later by throwing off a cycle to catch back up...
Bursting means you can harvest right away and usually gives you seeds so you could replant it right away, which would give you 8 plants to harvest tomorrow. Why doesn't that work for you?
in my experience, it rarely gives me seeds, and since i only have the seed bags, i have to go buy singletons and go back and redo things... it was just easier to ignore them (for me) to not break the cycles -- this was running them across 4 characters.
i love your addon! very helpful - thank you so much for your contribution to the wow community JCinDE!
one thing i have noticed, that only on occasion, if i have more than one bag of seeds, FarmHand doesn't seem to use the bag most empy first, which prolongs the use of 2 slots for seed bags a little longer.
is there a way to have it detect multiple bags and use the bag with the least number of seeds first?
thanks :)
Unfortunately there's an API limitation that makes it impossible to know the number of charges remaining on an item short of scraping the tooltip, which would cause performance problems.
i dont know if this will be to much to ask for or not, so im just gonna throw it out there XD
im one of thouse guys who have 5 ppl doing the farm daily, and sometimes i miss doing it on one of them, so i have an idear to a extra feature: track the farm "progress" on each character and make it sho the once that need's more work "today" this could also include seed's that needs attention.
thx for the great addon XD
EDIT: i would also be cool if it could detect plant's ready for harvesting or soil without anything in it, so the "scan" button would onely say "the crops are looking good!" when the farm is full of plantet seeds that needs to grow.
