Farmhand
Description
Farmhand adds dynamic buttons on the screen while you are at Sunsong Ranch.
The buttons allow quick access to the Plow, Shovel, Bug Spray and Watering Can if they are in your inventory. If you do not have a given item, there will be no button for it. Also adds buttons for seeds that are in your inventory. You can even sell unwanted seeds at a vendor without having to open your bags.
When you leave Halfhill, any tools remaining in your inventory will be dropped. You can pick them up again at the farm. (You can disable this feature.)
A special Crop Scanner tool will let you quickly find any plants you've overlooked that need special attention. (Very hand for the hard-to see Smothered and Runty plants.)
To move the buttons, hold SHIFT and drag a button with the left mouse button.
In the Interface Options panel, you can turn on/off tool dropping, turn on/off chat messages and sounds, turn on/off the portal shard buttons and control whether Farmhand automatically hides itself during combat.
I recommend using Masque (optional) to make your buttons pretty.
Localization
Farmhand has translations for all game-supported locales, but if you see a bad translation please visit the localization page and correct it. Then let me know so I can repackage the addon to pick up the changes.

SavedInstances is a wonderful addon to complement farming with FarmHand (and many other timers that may be wondering about). i use it all the time, it is very helpful. and yes, it will tell you when you have or not planted your seeds for the day, and if there are any ready for harvesting (and even what was planted).

Posted Sep 28, 2014I too would like to see this feature. In fact, my search brought me to your addon. I would like to be able to access a grid or report that tells me not only who is ready to harvest but what each toon has planted and it's status.
Is there an existing addon like this?

Posted Sep 11, 2013Do you mean the spikey button border graphics in the image below? They're from this art pack for this addon. Farmhand supports Masque for button styling so you can use the Diablo III style or any other Masque style you like.

Also, it would be really awesome if it only showed up if you haven't done the quest for that day. (but doesn't hide until you make him go away ...)

Posted Jul 23, 2013Hey, I LOVE this addon!
Also, I was going to fiddle with your code to make a similar addon that recognizes all types of food in my bags and display them in a similar bar (as a holy/ret pally I have to keep multiple kinds of food and banquets on hand).
However, I am a programming idiot and Farmhand has enough features that I can't make it work. I was able to add the food IDs to the "seeds" category in data.lua but that doesn't help me when I'm away from Halfhill. ;)
Any advice on an addon that would do such a thing, or advice on making a Farmhand hack that would do it?

Posted Mar 18, 2013I've noticed a few problems since 5.2 - firstly the seed bags are showing strange numbers (says things like 74 even though I only have 1 or 2) & if I have my hearth set as the farm, when I log in there it seems that Farmhand doesn't notice I'm at the farm & doesn't display. Reloading the UI and/or flying out of the zone & back in doesn't work. Only way to fix it is to log out and back in.

Posted Mar 18, 2013The seed bag button should show the total number of charges of all of the seed bags (of each type) in your inventory. If you have two carrot seed bags, one with 7 charges and one with 8, the button for the carrot seed bag will show 15.
I also have my hearth set to the farm and as yet I haven't seen the issue you describe. Make sure it's happening with the newest version (v1.6) and make sure it happens even if Farmhand is the only addon you have enabled. Let me know and I'll try to help.

Posted Mar 14, 2013When showing the vegetable icon on the seed bag buttons, the vegetables are shown with a small seed bag icon on the top right side.
The special seed bags - eg the enigma seed - don't have that indicator

Posted Mar 14, 2013This is intentional just to make it easy to tell a seed from a seed bag if you're using the icon override options.
You'll also notice that seeds that don't grow into vegetables show their seed icons in place of the bag icon when the option is enabled.
