FuBar_RecZone

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Displays the zone level ranage of the zone you are in and also gives you a suggest zone and instances to be in.

Love this addon but got a error that pops up everytime I login using it.... if i disable it then no problemo...
Anyone know of a similar addon?
I'd happily send the author the error message I get if they want though could be it's partly that it conflicts with other addons that I won't give up for it to work, heh.

I was using both at the same time for a long time, as one had a little bit of information the other didn't, and vice versa. But in general they have the exact same information. And I'm not getting any errors for LocationFu.

Any chance of having the recommended levels for the instances rechecked. They seem to be a bit off now. Instances that RecZone show as green are half to two-thirds grey mobs. Other than that, great mod, keep up the good work!

for some reason the part that i can move around my minimap is stuck over tracking. and i cant click on it at all, are there some sort of /commands that would help me move it?

i tried deleting and reinstalling but its still in the same place T_T

Here is a lil fix for the "double-click to open world map" feature. Change RecZone.lua line 1475 from:

ToggleWorldMap() to _G.ToggleFrame(_G.WorldMapFrame)

Lines 1474-1476 should read:

function RecZone:OnDoubleClick()
_G.ToggleFrame(_G.WorldMapFrame)
end

Another option is to change this over to get its zone info from the currently maintained LibTourist-3.0, as FuBar_LocationFu does it. Instead of having to maintain its own zone database. That way can let this float along and just fix bugs that arise in its display, instead of having to update every time Blizzard modifies a zone. But if the intention is to let it drift into obsolescence completely, you may not want to spend the time to convert it to using the library ;).

Well I plan on the FuBar version to probably be obsoleted when the broker version is completely ready. I personally am using that one with Broker2FuBar, and its working more or less just like the native FuBar one does (minus teething troubles I'm still working out ;) ) The plan is that the broker version will work just like the current one expect be broker so that it is usable with many more display addons.

P.S.: Same goes for the Obsidian Sanctum. And Wintergrasp is not an instance in Scholazar Basin.

Thanks for updating this. Few bugs in though, e.g. Naxxramas would be a 10/25 instance, not 10/20. ;)

Thanks for taking this over. I could use both; the FuBar version and the broker version. Is there one of them which you "prefer" and so do more often updates for it?

I've introduce few zones with Northrend such as "Kamagua", "Vengeance Landing", "Moa'ki Harbor", "Unu'pe", or like "Plaguelands: The Scarlet Enclave" for Death Knight, but thoses zones are only needed for transports.
In fact, Dragonblight and Borean Tundra are linked so the boat travel doesn't work.

I've requested taking over this project (I have it updated already). I also intend on getting it Brokerized. The Broker version is now available as alpha here.

You may want to check out Fubar_LocationFu ( http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/fubar_locationfu.aspx ) instead. It was updated 10/24.

I have taken over this project and updated it for Wrath :)

Also I have "Brokerized" it as Broker_RecZone, which will be out soon, so it will be easier to use with Broker addons and still usable with FuBar too using Broker2FuBar :)
