Okay it looks like Blizzard changed BNGetFriendToonInfo in Patch 4.2, so to fix this Addon Change the Line number 413 in file FuBar_FriendsFu.lua from "local hasFocus, toonName, client, realmName, faction, race, class, guild, zoneName, level, gameText = BNGetFriendToonInfo(BNindex, toonindex)" to "local hasFocus, toonName, client, realmName, _, faction, race, class, guild, zoneName, level, gameText = BNGetFriendToonInfo(BNindex, toonindex)"

I was grabbing your fix from megaupload and their pop-up just attempted to install the Think Point virus (fake virus protection) on my system. This is in no way related to the addon, i was using it happily before 4.0.1. Just wanted to warn everyone.
I don't see any harm in just adding the numbers before displaying it. I mean "0+2/34+3" is a bit annoying to read compared to "2/37"... Who cares that some are RealID's and some are WoW characters.
Also, for starcraft characters it returns a GameText that shows what they're playing, eg. "Playing the Campaign". Might as well display that somewhere in the emptyness :)
Why can't it use the same columns for RealID WoW characters? Like it is now, in my setup, their level/race/class is in the Location column, and their location is in the Rank column. It makes the RealID friends behave so differently...
I do have to agree with Dracula. I'd love to be able to hide my social button, but seeing "0+2/34+3", as he said, is very confusing to see at a glance (kinda defeats the purpose of a convenience mod).

I modified the addon, so that it shows the status of your sc2-battlenetfriends and the plus in the display in the fubar is now gone. theres simply the sum now:
