Gara'jalAnnounce
Automatically generate and announce optimal spirit totem assignments during the Gara'jal encounter in Mogu'shan Vaults. Highly customizable with numerous helpful features.
Features:
- Automatically computes the optimal player assignment when each spirit totem drops, announcing it via raid warning and whispers.
- Graphical configuration lets you define detailed priority and order for players to be assigned to the totems, subject to debuff constraints. Intelligent defaults work out-of-the-box.
- Intelligently adjusts to changing fight conditions, including mechanics such as Voodoo Doll, Frail Soul, Crossed Over and Spiritual Innervation, as well as deaths and disconnects.
- Automatically rotates dps through the spirit phase (subject to priority and constraints) to maximize dps cooldown usage.
- Optionally prioritize healer assignments based on current mana
- Optionally set raid icons on players assigned to totems, providing a visual cue to coordinate totem killing
- Optionally announce Spiritual Innervation buff magnitudes upon returning from spirit phase
- Optionally announce additional text with each player sent to the totem (eg healing assignment)
- Tunable dps/heal assignment mix for each difficulty level
- NEW in 2.0: Status window shows the real-time status of all debuffs and players sorted by priority
- Correctly handles announcement even while the raid leader is in the spirit phase
- Very efficient - automatically enables/disables when you enter/leave the boss room
- International language support - Apply translations HERE
Several additional features are planned and still under development.
Usage:
- Install as usual. Only ONE person in raid needs the addon (the leader or assistant).
- Everything works "out of the box" with intelligent defaults
- To see the current roster or tweak configuration, type "/ga config", click the LDB broker, or navigate to the addon in Blizzard options.
- All players to be considered for totems must have assigned raid roles, you will be prompted to role check if needed.
- If multiple players are running the addon, it will elect a single announcer at the first voodoo doll and all other copies are disabled for that fight. This election favors the raid leader.
- Warning: Many boss mods (DBM, BigWigs etc) default to setting raid icons on voodoo dolls. If you're using the raid icon feature of this addon it's highly recommended that you disable raid icons in those boss mods for every assist or lead in the raid, otherwise they may conflict in confusing ways.

Despite your telling us not to test it, we did, last night - and encountered this very issue :). Apart from that, it was pretty magical. We decided to stop using it due to the lack of control we had over it (this was r9), but in general this is a very promising addon.
One bug report - after that pull, I unchecked "enable" on the settings. However, on the next pull it started whispering people again. I re-confirmed that enable was unchecked, but it was still whispering. This was with r9 from 1 day ago.
Another request, from someone doing the calling of who to go down each totem. Could you have an option that does not whisper or raid announce at all, but merely suggests who to send to the "Self" channel? Actually, my ideal would be to make the channel to send to selectable, so I could use the mod to suggest to me who to send, but I could override it if I wanted to.
One last request. Sometimes we choose to skip totems. If it were possible to also have a command that made the mod make a suggestion when asked to (which I could keybind), then that way I could either get the suggestion ahead of time - or if I was choosing to skip a totem, just not press the keybind until later.
Beta 1 already includes a check for Frail Soul when deciding eligibility.
I haven't personally tested heroic, but I know it's possible to encounter cases where no healer is eligible (due to voodoo and frail) and you therefore have to send a dps hybrid to heal instead for one totem. I'll be adding support for that special case soon.
Currently beta 1 always sends 1 healer and either 2 dps (10 man) or 3 dps (25 man). I'll add a tuning knob to allow sending a different mix.
Frail soul would be a definite plus, I forgot to mention that earlier.
Looks very nice, 2 questions however:
Does it support Heroic version? (Frail Soul debuff)
How do I set it to 1 healer 2 dps instead of 3 dps?
Very nice if those will be fixed it's going to be awesome!
Is there any possibility to add a parameter that would let us choose how many DPS to send down? We are having no trouble keeping shadowy guys at bay with two DPS + a healer and that option would really be nice. We tried it last night and other than it sending too many DPS for our raid, the addon works great! Keep up the good work :)
Like the look of this addon, and will download it when I get home tonight to help with testing. Does it support heroic mode, taking into account the frail soul (I think that's what it's called) debuff?
Thanks

First beta version is now posted for those who want to help with testing. I'm still planning to add several more features, but the core functionality is there and should be relatively stable.

Looks promising. Could you add an option to announce the buff stacks that players return to the normal realm with? Basically, when players lose the "Crossed Over" buff (or when they gain "Frail Soul" - but that's only heroic) - then look at the details on their "Spiritual Innervation" aura and announce the buff size to raid/party/etc. This would help determine if healers and hybrids are doing enough to get the buff stacked on DPS when they are in the spirit realm.
Sadly the buff size is not represented as a stack count, so the normal tools don't work for this. Instead, one has to look at the tooltip or make a WeakAura, which works since it can pull "size" out from the tooltip - but that is only a personal solution, not a raid-wide one. A mod like this one would be ideal for helping analyze and improve.
