State in Shadowlands
GatherMate2_Data and the background tools have been updated for Shadowlands, and early data for both Herbs and Mining locations is already available in the latest update. We'll keep updating the database as more information is uploaded to Wowhead!
Annoying, but fixable. I uninstalled GM2_Data and its related Saved Variables, then reinstalled and re-imported. For the most part, it fixed the discrepancies, but there are still odd things, like mussels (treasure) off the coast of Northern Barrens showing up more inland than intended. I'm not certain if they are supposed to be there at all, given I didn't see any in the water.
Also, if you don't wipe the SVs and do a complete re-import, I've found that pre-Shattering Azeroth data is still showing up on the world map.
Random question borne of ignorance: I use the WowHead Looter; when I upload, is that what is contributing to GM2_Data? Just wondering, because I am seeing nodes not in the DB in Northrend, Outland, and, naturally, "new" Azeroth. I'm just surprised to see things in Northrend and Outland not already in the DB.
I just went to Teldrassil to collect herbs for inscription research. A large amount of locations are now in unreachable locations. It appears as though the present database is very much wrong now that the sundering has taken place. I tried to delete each herb type from this area via GM2, but it doesn't remove them. I finally resorted to deleting the entire herb database, and then importing BC and WotLK databases. If this can't be corrected by the time Cata is released, I plan on populating my sundered world databases manually via flying mount.
Todo so: enabel GM1 and GM2
type /gathermate2
goto Import and select convert GM1 database
done.
