You can upload (which can take a long time depending on the data) and can download what's in the database. As a warning, if there are near overlapping nodes it won't filter those, not sure if the import will. If the creators of GatherMate2 don't want this to be running, let me know in PM and I will pull the site down. Otherwise, happy using peoples :)

Edit: Updated the site db to the current import from here. I realize this site might be moot now since we have a ton of data, but I will leave it running unless asked to pull it down.

Edit 2: Grr the site is not working at the moment. Something with the host. Will update when working again.

Not sure if this is proper, but I have started a small website for gathering the data for upload and compiling a download. It is still in construction (should be finished in a day or two). It is a very basic website with an SQL db behind it. Users can upload their GatherMate2.lua SavedVariables file and it will parse and store the data in the SQL. Then an auto generating download will be available to all. I will post again when the site is ready for use. Just wanted to give a small heads up on my idea, if it's not really allowed, please post or PM me.

Is it possible to add a filter by continent or expansion ?

this could help a lot when you don't want to farm old reagentes and also let your maps more clean showing only what you really need to track.

since WoWHead and WoWDB do not track spawns of Legion herbs (yet, or ever, it seems unclear), some people have asked if they can contribute their own gathered data for inclusion in GatherMate2_Data.

 

After briefly looking into how I could pull this off, I concluded there is really no reason not to do that.

So I'll be building some scripts to combine the user-provided data and package it into GatherMate2_Data.

 

What do I need to do that? Well! Data, of course. I have plenty Legion Herb data myself, but no mining and barely any fishing.

So if you want to contribute, upload your data somewhere and link it here, and I'll integrate it within the next week or so.

 

In short:

Upload your "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<name>\SavedVariables\GatherMate2.lua" to any file sharing service of your choice (simple things like OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox preferred, mega also ok), and post a link to that here. I'll quickly check them and then run them through my script to include the nodes in the central database.

 

 

 

If i download this right now on WoW 7.0.3, will it work? I know it wouldn't show the legion mining nodes and stuff yet, but I need it for WoD and previous.

yeah i know it doesn't have legion data, i just wanted to know if the addon would still work at all or if it would break things.

wowhead addon must installed.

Some data can be found in WTF/Account/xxxx/SavedVariables/+Wowhead_Looter.lua file.

Is full of personal action for datamining.

Some data (nodes) can be extracted searching for:

["action"] = "Mining",

strings.

less is better than nothing :)

Wowhead/wowdb has not released the legion herb/ore object data we have all been working so hard to collect yet.

I don't get this: Kagaro updated Gathermate_sharing just 2 days ago, yet can't drop by to say SOMETHING ...!!!

As I mentioned, I'd gladly help how I can to help populate a DB ......

Please update for Legion or share script that we can update it... Im carbonite dev so i can help i my spare time.

For everyone who uses GatherMate2_Data.

For now you just can change the toc version to " ## Interface: 70000 "

When you use GatherMate on a regular base or each day, than your data will be up to date after each time you gather stuff. ;)

btw. You can (regularly) send your up-to-date data to the project site, that way the database can be updated and stays updated.

(perhaps a better and easier option is to make a github vault?)

With no effort and/or input from the community itself, updates will take a long(er) time to come available.

(it's just an idea.)

And it just my idea and opinion. Oh, and I'm just a user.

The data used in GatherMate2_Data is pulled from Wowhead, so the best way for everyone to help is to install the Wowhead Client and let that gather info and data while you play the game, just remember to upload all that info to Wowhead on a regular basis. ;)

GatherMate2_Data used to be updated very regularly, not sure anyone (other than Kagaro) knows why the updates stopped. Hopefully Kagaro will resume the updates soon.
