GBankIconSetter

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

This addon was created to help you avoid wading through the thousands of guild bank tab icons to find the one you want. GBankIconSetter allows you to drag an item from your bags or guild bank onto one of the tabs of the guild bank, and it will try and set the icon of the tab to be the same as the item. As of 4.3, it appears that any icon can be set to the guild bank tabs now. Note that you must have the tab already selected in order to drop an item onto it.

Great! it works! I have to turn off Arkinventory to use it, but it works! Thanks. If you can get it to work without disabling arkinventory that would be great! If not I can live with turning off my addons when I need to change an icon.

There was never any problem with bag mods. The problem that came out in 4.3 was fixed, so the current version should work whether or not you have ArkInventory enabled.

Icons are still limited to the ones available in WoW, so my guess is it doesn't show up in the list.

thanks for the addon. Somehow Elementium Ore can't be set to gbank tab icon. Any idea? Thanks!

Dosn't work, it probrally works with no other bag addons but who dose that now days.

What item did you try to use? Did you try multiple items? Bag addons have no impact on the Guild Bank window.

Same here, tried to use with Arkinventory Bag & Bank addon. I wouldnt mind going through the icon selector if it had more icons in the window... like maybe a selection window four times larger or something.

It didn't work for one of two reasons: either you aren't on the character who is the current guild master, or you are trying to use an item that is not already available in the selection window.

I am the guild master and I tried using a heavenly shard since i figured your screenshot shows that particular icon it should work.

I really would like to use the addon so I figured I would just log out and disable Arkinventory. To get the Default Bank UI. I tried it again, and this time it tried to work because I can see in the name GBankIconSetter in the thrown error:

You're absolutely right, thanks for the report. They must have changed how they do the items in 4.3, and I didn't realize it because I haven't tried to set an icon. I will be posting a new version that works, and by the looks of it, you can actually set any icon now, not just the ones in the list.
