Table of Contents

GladiusEx is an arena unit frames addon based on Gladius.

What's new

New features include:

Party frames: support for showing frames for your own team

Cooldown tracker: a highly configurable module for tracking all types of cooldowns

Skill history: shows the icons of the last few skills used by the unit

Alerts: makes the frames blink in a noticeable way during some configured events (including low health, auras and specific spells being cast)

Pets: new module for displaying pet bars

Interrupts: See the interrupts directly on your arena & party frames.

And the classic modules, most of which have been improved in various ways:

Auras: now with more filtering options

Class Icon: new display modes: by spec, role and portraits

Cast Bar: now shows which spells can't be interrupted

DR Tracker: track the diminishing returns timers on both the enemy team and your team. Now lets you select which icon you want displayed for every category!

Health Bar: now displays incoming heals and absorbs

Tags: configure every text to show exactly what you want, now with more built-in tags and improved performance

FAQ

How do I bring the user interface up ?

You can use the /gex slash command, or you can access the options from the addons tab in the interface panel.

Where did the trinket and the dispels modules go ?

They have been replaced by the cooldowns module, which now allows you to have several groups of cooldowns configured independently. By default, the trinket cooldown is shown in group 2 and a few other cooldowns in group 1.

What is that additional set of frames that I see ?

Those are the party frames. This is incremental functionality that will help you track not only your enemies but also your friends. If you use your own you can turn these easily off in the general settings. You can also disable only your own frame, but keep the GladiusEx party frames.

Is it possible to have text timers for the auras, cooldowns or the DR icons ?

The timer module has been removed, but this can be achieved with OmniCC or other similar addons.

If you want extra features you need an extra addon. If all you want is CD timers, then by enabling cooldowns built-in to the WoW interface it will work

The transparency is dictated by whether they're reachable or not.

You can the configuration "Out of range alpha", "Stealth alpha", and "Dead alpha" to control what alpha values are used.

First of all thank you for this great addon.
This xpanc i decided to play arena and climb rating and i found this really good addon (tryed gladius before but didn't have party frames).
Here comes my question:
This addon have a cc timer icon on the left of class icon (the same position as DR tracking icons) ?
Ex. warrior pop Avatar - u see the Avatar icon with a timer on top of his class icon- till now all good.
warrior gets Disarmed (or any other CC) - CAN I PUT THE DISARM ICON (with a timer on it) ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CLASS/BUFF/DEBUFF ICON ? (i want CC icons to not appear in the same possition as buffs/debuffs/class icon)
Graphically will looc like this : Disarm icon (or any other CC)------------Class icon/buffs/debuffs--------------Health bar

Cast bar

No, as the add-on is right now, you cannot emulate what BigDebuffs can do.

You can, however, use the Auras module, and use a whitelist with the CC you want to track, then to anchor the Auras module to the right of the Classicon.

I was getting the same errors. I manually updated the LibCooldownTracker-1.0 with the latest version from https://www.wowace.com/projects/libcooldowntracker-1-0/files/2618456

Fixed the errors for me

the aim of this document seems to be to be a compendium for every spell / ability / aura for each class. as far as i can see it does not contain the duration or cooldowns of buffs, but it has the spellID which would make it really easy to look those up on wowhead.

if any help is required to look up anything, let me know, i could help do the grunt work of looking up cooldowns and so on.

The document is interesting but not very useful without cooldown or duration.

I'll publish an update today that I made using Wowhead's class changes, and I'll need some help to fixup what's left and/or incorrect because sometimes they're hard to read.

Class, Spec Name(s) if applicable, Cooldown time, Duration time, Talent or not. Charges. Optionally a lower cooldown (from a talent), or a lower cooldown per spec.

i started looking at the cooldowns of the 2 classes that i main (sub rogue and resto druid).

i noticed that for resto druid, the options menu makes no mention of the talent Stonebark (197061) which reduces the duration of ironbark by 15s from 60s to 45s. this is kind of a big deal since it is considered a mandatory talent for pvp.

for sub rogue, there is the Thief's Bargain talent (212081) which reduces the duration of vanish by 45s from 120s to 75s. this really is not a big deal though since i dont think many people will run it since it got nerfed in bfa and no longer also increases dmg.

hopefully this helps and hopefully more people will chime in. i will over time check more classes/specs but for now focused on those that i know best.
