GladiusEx is an arena unit frames addon based on Gladius.

What's new

New features include:

Party frames: support for showing frames for your own team

Cooldown tracker: a highly configurable module for tracking all types of cooldowns

Skill history: shows the icons of the last few skills used by the unit

Alerts: makes the frames blink in a noticeable way during some configured events (including low health, auras and specific spells being cast)

Pets: new module for displaying pet bars

Interrupts: See the interrupts directly on your arena & party frames.

And the classic modules, most of which have been improved in various ways:

Auras: now with more filtering options

Class Icon: new display modes: by spec, role and portraits

Cast Bar: now shows which spells can't be interrupted

DR Tracker: track the diminishing returns timers on both the enemy team and your team. Now lets you select which icon you want displayed for every category!

Health Bar: now displays incoming heals and absorbs

Tags: configure every text to show exactly what you want, now with more built-in tags and improved performance

FAQ

How do I bring the user interface up ?

You can use the /gex slash command, or you can access the options from the addons tab in the interface panel.

Where did the trinket and the dispels modules go ?

They have been replaced by the cooldowns module, which now allows you to have several groups of cooldowns configured independently. By default, the trinket cooldown is shown in group 2 and a few other cooldowns in group 1.

What is that additional set of frames that I see ?

Those are the party frames. This is incremental functionality that will help you track not only your enemies but also your friends. If you use your own you can turn these easily off in the general settings. You can also disable only your own frame, but keep the GladiusEx party frames.

Is it possible to have text timers for the auras, cooldowns or the DR icons ?

The timer module has been removed, but this can be achieved with OmniCC or other similar addons.

Should be fixed on the latest alpha, thanks for reporting it. Btw, if you want to get my attention about breaking issues like this, write a message or open a ticket in the project page in wowace, because I receive an email when there are any updates there.

Thanks for carrying the PvP torch for us with this much needed replacement for gladius! I'm running into the lua error below. Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to try out.

I absolutely love this. Any chance you could add an option to change the class icon to the role icon? I end up using this in dungeons more than anything else (I'm a tank)

i have confrimed that whenever the enemy uses a skill or trinket. or even activates the DR tracker i get lag spikes.

i dont know why. : /

The problem with the click module not working went away when I enabled the party module. Originally, I turned off the party module right away prior to changing any other settings. It'd be nice if they could be independently configurable (the party and enemy settings).. thanks again!

Great addon so you missed some importante cooldown.

Add plz for hunter : Intimidation for bm: http://es.wowhead.com/spell=123646 and rapid fire for general.

Yeah there are a few classes that need to have their list of cooldowns updated, but it is a very time consuming process.

I actually was not able to make it work by disabling the party frames - I was just explaining a bit about my setup.

Can you post your SavedVariables file ? It may be useful for reproducing the bug. Just use the ticket system to create a new ticket and attach your GladiusEx.lua file (which should be somewhere in your SavedVariables folder).

I don't. The weird thing is it worked Tuesday night than not Wednesday night. The only thing I change was trying out lose control add on, oqueu add on and I change around gladiusex set up. I did disable both new add ons and return to the default profile which didn't seem to fix it.

I think I might be interpreting dubdogs post a little different after rereading this morning. He is getting around this issue by disabling party frames. That solution doesn't work for me. Nothing happens when I click the enemy unit frames. It would set me as the focus or target if I clicked on my toons part of the party frames.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I have gotten so used to targeting and setting focus this way I'm lost with out it.
