GladiusEx
GladiusEx is an arena unit frames addon based on Gladius.
What's new
New features include:
- Party frames: support for showing frames for your own team
- Cooldown tracker: a highly configurable module for tracking all types of cooldowns
- Skill history: shows the icons of the last few skills used by the unit
- Alerts: makes the frames blink in a noticeable way during some configured events (including low health, auras and specific spells being cast)
- Pets: new module for displaying pet bars
- Interrupts: See the interrupts directly on your arena & party frames.
And the classic modules, most of which have been improved in various ways:
- Auras: now with more filtering options
- Class Icon: new display modes: by spec, role and portraits
- Cast Bar: now shows which spells can't be interrupted
- DR Tracker: track the diminishing returns timers on both the enemy team and your team. Now lets you select which icon you want displayed for every category!
- Health Bar: now displays incoming heals and absorbs
- Tags: configure every text to show exactly what you want, now with more built-in tags and improved performance
FAQ
How do I bring the user interface up ?
You can use the /gex slash command, or you can access the options from the addons tab in the interface panel.
Where did the trinket and the dispels modules go ?
They have been replaced by the cooldowns module, which now allows you to have several groups of cooldowns configured independently. By default, the trinket cooldown is shown in group 2 and a few other cooldowns in group 1.
What is that additional set of frames that I see ?
Those are the party frames. This is incremental functionality that will help you track not only your enemies but also your friends. If you use your own you can turn these easily off in the general settings. You can also disable only your own frame, but keep the GladiusEx party frames.
Is it possible to have text timers for the auras, cooldowns or the DR icons ?
The timer module has been removed, but this can be achieved with OmniCC or other similar addons.

but I didnt get any response.
Could you take in consideration to add separate color / option for channeling casts.
For now, every cast is the same color (as selected, example: orange) but the default UI shows reversed casts (usually green) / different color from normal casts.

Posted Apr 16, 2021After hours of investing time, to group, to make it perfect... everything is just GONE!
I tried to put the trinket on another place. Now I just have this black bar, which is saying, this should be the group window. Nothing else. Just this BLACK BAR!
The enemy window is completely gone.
I tried a UI reload, game off /on, PC on /off...
When I open the menu, I can still see all my settings. I also tried to make a new profile, and copy the bad one into the new one. Nothing helped.
This is VERY ANNOYING at the moment. Anyone ideas?

Always /reload or change character after changing settings. IF the game crashed or you close it with alt-f4 the settings won't be saved (nor for any other addons).

Posted Apr 1, 2021I think i just found a Bug.
if u Select all Covenants, and then try to Test, it shows only the third of the four covenant available and ofccourse i put on "Hide talents until detected".
Maybe it's not a bug, but i cannot test with all Covenants at all

Same as I said in the issue tracker:
Test units have a pre-determined covenant. If I made all covenant spells show on them, people would report "Multiple covenant spells shown at the same time" instead...

Posted Mar 8, 2021Hi, Just moved to this addon from regular gladius. I'm having an issue with the DR tracker tonight randomly, where it tracks my BASH stun dr, but not my RAKE or my MAIM. It was doing just fine prior to tonight. Can anyone help me?

After a long time i decided to try GladiusEX and i like all the features it provides and i can say its awesome.
I have only one problem and i think its my lack of knowledge but its crucial to me. Plz help.
Thing is i cant see CC duration IN NUMBERS on arena class icon.
Example.. I cyclone arena1 and i see cyclone duration as Spiral (if turned on), but if i turn it off i cant see any numbers.
I saw streamers that have CC duration countdown in numbers so i guess its just configuration.
I really tried all i could think of and i have no other option but ask here.

You might have too many timers displayed on screens (from other addons maybe?). You can try to use omnicc for that.

Hi, you need a separate AddOn that will do this, it's called OmniCC. It will add numbers to all cooldown spirals (in this case, the Class Icons on GladiusEX).
