GnomeWorks TradeSkill Frame -
a complete replacement for the blizzard trade skill frame.
For those having problems related with LSW, please post the version of LSW you are using.
I'm running GW r130 and LSW r114 and I'm not having any problems.
I'll ask, even though I'm not dev-type, because I'm curious as hell.
Vonliege, what else are you running? Because on disk, the addon folder is less than 2MB, and while running mine is 4.4MB from crafting data from 8 different characters.
I suspect Gnomeworks is getting "blamed" for libraries in whatever addon you're using to see memory usage.
Also, LS, seconding the "no skill shown in smelting" window. Almost certainly to do with Smelting/Mining discrepancy, but yeah. On the plus side, I'm getting basic difficulty coloring and numbers now, which is awesome. Too bad it's coloring as if my skill was 1/75. =)
I've been using this replacement exclusivly for making glyphs. I really like that it will disclose how many of the item are on my bank toon. I also like the lil-sparky integraton. Polish is coming along as well. Here's where I think you need a little works:
- the mod is HUGE (10MB+) I can't load it willy-nilly. I have to only load it if I KNOW I am going to be makin glgyphs
- typing is unresponsive. I pull it up and it takes several seconds for typed stuff to register.
- When right clicking an item in my bag, the original trade skill window would show me everything that can me made with what ever it was I right clicked... I need that here, too.
I still got the "ERROR: fatal error initializing segment: GnomeWorks: Initialize Data" in r130. Also no profession window would open when i clicked the profession. Then I deleted the Gnomeworks.lua file from my savedvariables-folder, and now everything works like a charm.
Using r130 now, a new issue, and a few recurring ones..
First, I can't sort via clicking on the columns, the column flashes, but does nothing else, but if I close then reopen the window, it is sorted as I clicked.
Also, my smelting window hasn't been showing my skill level for about 6 or 7 revisions, it sometimes says 1/1 or 1/75, but nothing in the window indicated my true skill lvl, and the "percent chance" column is sometimes there when i first open the window, but disappears as soon as I smelt anything, sometimes doesn't show up at all.
Also, Plinth's request that selection/highlighting is persistent per trade when you re-open the window would be an excellent addition.
Thx for the excellent work, i gave up ATSW long ago for this much more well-maintained flashy replacement that get's better with every day.
I do have one request. Would it be easy to allow the location in the list to remain the same in between opening and closing the window?
I will open GnomeWorks while I'm at the AH so that I can look for mats. Then I need to close it to navigate to the mailbox and/or bank, sometimes I wind up pulling mats that I need to process but do not need for my queue. Bolts of cloth are a prime example. Each time, I have to either scroll all the way down or re-order the list - even if I was just there a moment ago.
Closing the window on bolts of cloth and opening it back up to still be on bolts of cloth would be wonderful.
d'oh. this one always stings me. i split the recipe level data into a new file and forgot to include it in the commit. sorry about that.
edit: since there's a new file, you must update gw while the client is not running or it won't recognize the new file.
in the reagent breakdown window, craftable reagents are colored blue. if you click on a craftable reagent, it will automatically select the recipe that creates it (or it'll give you a dropdown with all the recipes you know that can craft it and then you can select one).
if you right click a craftable reagent, then you can adjust its status as either a preferred reagent source (not yet implemented) or you can black list the recipe so that the queue won't attempt to craft it (this part is working, i think).
anyway, i've made some further adjustments to the way gw figures out what recipes you know, so it's possible it's working better now. i'd be interested to see what gw does if you right-click on the essence in the reagent window.
i'm curious, if you click on the greater essence in the reagent window, does it select the recipe from the common skills list? does it even show up as a link (blue)?
Not sure what you mean here... the little window at bottom right? I can select the reagent but it doesn't expand or do anything else... just like all the other reagents.
if you add a recipe to the queue, does it list the recipe to convert if you right click the source?
No, it just says missing reagent.

@Garonne - thanks, after the most recent update the GW wouldn't even open at all - no display, nada, nothing - until I disabled LSW.

Seems some of the current problems are linked with LilSparkys Workshop PlugIn in GW
I've got an Enchanter, and when trying to open GW, GW hangs. I can close it but not use it...
After disabling LSW for this char, GW works fine again.

Thanks! I think you have a real winner.

Thank you LS for a great addon.
There are any form that if I closed the "main craft window" open again from queue window? like the ">" opens the queue on main.

Still very happy I switched!

r130 is giving me this error upon opening a tradeskill window.
musta missed that reference to the old data table name. 130 should fix it (drycoded).
got this on opening a npc with the version you just uploaded.
