GnomeWorks TradeSkill Frame -
a complete replacement for the blizzard trade skill frame.
vonliege, you create a custom layout with the little arrow next to the group selector. seems like you've figured out this part.
you can drag select, shift-select (selects a range), and ctrl-select (toggles individual recipes) to do multi-selecting. also, ctrl-a and ctrl-d select all/none.
once you have a selection, you can ctrl-g to group them. or you can ctrl-n to make a new empty group and then multi-select and drag to the new empty group (there is no visual yet to let you know you're dragging recipes). you can also drag recipes around to re-order them.
you can rename groups by clicking on their name (or maybe double click, i'm a bit foggy on this one).
you can put groups inside of other groups, but all groups need to have unique names. and DON'T USE THE GROUP NAME "*ALL*". that's a hard coded gw internal specific name that will cause trouble if you use it. so don't.
Ok - I've managed to make a custom list. Here's how I did it: I started with a fresh custom list, renamed it to suit me, and DELETED everything I didn't want on the list. I deleted stuff by highlighting it and pressing CTRL-X (cut). Now, I want to add stuff, and can't figure out what magic keys to click. Is there a tutorial for this addon? Even a TXT file with the basics? I'd LOVE to use this addon, but I'm stumbling along blind!
Hey - love this addon!! How hard would it be to include data from the undermine journal in the pricing and value calculations? They've got an addon that is generated from all their AH data, and is specific to your realm, and up to the minute (but you probably already know this ...)
I've been looking to use some of the extended feature of Gnomeworks, but can't for the life of me figure out how to edit a CUSTOM crafting list (not Que). I can CREATE one (and two, three, etc) but I can't figure out how to tell it what to actually list for the different custom crafting windows.
Just wanted to say this really is a great tradeskill addon. I've been looking for something to replace Producer ever since it was abandoned, because for some reason I just don't prefer ATSW and Skillet...
I won't make a ticket about this, but one thing I'd love to see is an option to switch to a "compact" GUI view; something that compacts the interface to a streamlined UI similar to how Producer displays the tradeskills in a "treestyle" or "expanding folder" view... (It shrinks the entire UI down to about 1/4 the size of any other tradeskill addon I've seen, which is pretty handy, sleek and leaves a lot more room to see the rest of the game screen.) But hey, I realize that might be asking quite a bit as far as coding is concerned... The addon will rock regardless!
i'll think maybe i'll have to go ahead and add vendor scanning to lsw so that it can provide correct prices for vendor items (and also properly identify them). it's been something that people ask about a lot so maybe it's better to just bite the bullet and build in support rather than explain how to find a mod that provides the proper data... should be relatively easy to record vendor prices for vendor-only reagents/craftables.
hades, is that the only item that fails to recognize a reagent? do other recipes also not recognize volatile earth? (you can use the All Recipes to queue up different recipes you might not have)... i think i looked at this before and couldn't duplicate the issue or maybe it had me stumped.
it's a special material to craft mounts, like http://www.wowhead.com/item=44501 for the engineer mount which sells for 10 but costs way more
I think there should be a "getmerchantcost" as well not only sell value
ugh... are you saying the vendor actually sells these things for 5k? sigh. i knew i kept the vendor database system in lsw for a good reason! the blizz api provides a "sell to vendor" price for each item that is easily accessible (part of GetItemInfo()). normally, this is 1/4 of the cost to buy that item from the vendor (of course, there are rounding errors at times and some items cannot be sold to vendors). once this came out, all the vendor price database mods kinda went away. guess if blizz is going to start changing the standard 1/4 rule, they'll need to come back.
yes it's accurate because i already created 2 vials when the screeenshot was taken. I didn't think of creating one when i first noticed there might be something wrong.
is the reagent inventory accurate in the reagent breakdown list? it indicates you don't have any flasks on your alts.
this highlights a problem i need to address tho. when gw can't find an item, it only tells you that in the queue window and not in the shopping list. it really needs a "missing reagent" category in the shopping list area for things it cannot locate so you can either spam trade or search the ah...
Yes it is, but i logged in and out of the game a couple of time since, and i opened and closed profession window, banks and bags on both characters a few times since then as well.
I wonder why it still looks like this:
I'm alchemist and got the Vial of the Sands recipe.
This requires:
Pyrium-Laced Crystalline Vial (1)
Sands of Time (8)
Truegold (12)
Flask of the Winds (8)
Flask of Titanic Strength (8)
Deepstone Oil (8)
It properly adds the Vial and the Sands, to the "purchase " list,
im missing some of the flasks though, but they aren't added as "create them" and neither are they or their materials put on the Reagent List, so i dont know how many my banker should send my main.
Diffrent issue:
If you queue a recipe on your main character, and go with your bankcharacter to the auctionhouse , you can't see the main queue and not use gw scan feature for that.
I think that should be possible.
quote: turbopipp, i'm not sure i know exactly what you're talking about. are those pricing schemes form tsm? that would probably be better added to lsw.
answer: Yes, sry, I should post it in LSW comments instead :)
started a new job, so work on gw has slowed a bit. i'm hoping to figure out when i can set aside time to fix things...
i think i have to bite the bullet and just hammer the hell out of the layers. i've kind of been avoiding this approach in favor of a more surgical strike, but that's just not working.
jimi, you can manipulate groups using cut and paste and dragging. so if you want 4 specific jc recipes, you can select those recipes (ctrl-click each recipe to add it to the selection) then hit ctrl-g to create a new group from those recipes. or you can hit ctrl-n to make a new empty group and then drag those recipes (click to select, then click and drag to move the recipe to a new group). you can stack groups inside of groups. you can rename groups by double clicking them (i think!). you can ctrl-x to delete stuff you don't care about. this must all be done on a non-auto generated group or it won't last very long (ie, create a new layout first).
weirdave, it should work for all trainers. i want to have some kind of toggle to hide those recipes when you don't want to see them. what happens right now is that as you queue items, it guesses what your skill level will be when you're done crafting. that predicted skill level is what actually colors the recipes by difficulty. it's great for powerleveling, but it's confusing as hell if you're not.
turbopipp, i'm not sure i know exactly what you're talking about. are those pricing schemes form tsm? that would probably be better added to lsw.
I wish you could figure out this creeping framelevel problem because it is getting annoying.
I have nothing visible on the screen other than the standard UI and I open Gnomeworks with everything working. I go about my business collecting materials for crafting and I open Gnomeworks (only) with column headings missing or queue items unclickable or recipes unclickable and now I have to /reload to get Gnomeworks back to a useable state. It isn't very long before it has creeped back up and another /reload is required.
Is there some variable that can be cleared with a slash command to reset the base framelevel? Why can't framelevel(s) be set to fixed values? Why is Gnomeworks the only addon that seems to have this problem?

Sup guys and sparky. Could someone post a process (glyphs) macro for this awesome addon?

Perchance there is a tutorial floating about?
I just posted a bug 354 with full details.
It should be easy enough to reproduce with a max level engineer.

LS > I'm still having the issue of it not recognising that Hardened Elementium Bars require volatile earth in engineering recipes... any thoughts?

Also, if you have a look at the Screenshot again, i have scanned the vendor in uldum for the prices of the special materials.
GW &LSW show a price of 50g for the vial, 100g for 2, the vendor on the other hand says:
http://www.wowhead.com/item=65892 5,000 , where is the mistake?

is that a new recipe you've learned? if so, perhaps the craftables haven't "filtered thru" the system properly and a reload might help.
the auction scanning for alts makes sense. should be pretty easy to add.
coding time right now is kind of tight, so i'm not sure when i'll get a chance to address things...
