GoblinVendorFilter
GoblinVendorFilter adds a small button to the merchant window. This button enables you filter the current merchant window items by itemType, subType, itemstats and equipLocation.
Filters will not appear on the dropdown if they either would filter-out nothing or everything (wouldn't make for a useful filter in that instance)
The filter clears each time you close the merchant window the filter resets to ensure that you do not miss out on great deals next time you visit a merchant.
Should work with any merchant addon out there including the excellent addon GnomishVendorShrinker :)
Please Submit all bugs/errors/problems to here i get emails for created/updated tickets so i know about them ASAP.
Known Issues:
- will not filter by resilience (blizzards GetItemStats is not returning any value for it so i can't filter for it this is fixed in Cata)
true but to keep it simple (and it should say so at the top of the options) the addon only knows about things you have previously seen :) this way it doesn't matter if blizzard decides to add or rename a stat/option it will show up if you have seen it
Quote: "also if you don't see an option it should mean that the option doesn't exist at the specific merchant."
... what make sense to me in the dropdown menu.. but imho the options menu in the addon section should provide all stats Blizz has to offer.. prove me wrong ;-)
@xevilgrin will have to look into it but in theory all stats are treated the same since i just use the stats blizzard provides us with. also if you don't see an option it should mean that the option doesn't exist at the specific merchant.
I got a lot going on this weekend so it might take a couple days for me to look into.
I did make your comment into a ticket to remind myself http://www.wowace.com/addons/goblinvendorfilter/tickets/9-item-stat-filter-missbehaving/ if you have any further info please post it there :)
Hey yssaril I use 0.7.2b and what came to my attention is:
1. missing entries between the options menu and the vendors dropdown on the stat filtering, as follows:
Options: Resilence, Parry Rating and Defense rating
Dropdown: Block Rating, Fire Resistance, DPS and Spell Penetration
2. the addon seems not to differ between critical strike and hit rating.. if i try, as an heal shammy, to filter the boots via dropdown menu, in Dalaran at Vendor Arkanist Adurin. Both filter options hide the caster boots if selectet... especially here " Treads of Coastal Wandering".
3. great job... i love to use GVF.. thank you
greetings from germany
Thanks a lot for making it!
woot that was the idea
Affordable Filter works perfectly thank you.. and over all i like the way the new system works alot easier to choose what your looking for :)
SkOO~
@skoodat:
try out the new Affordable Filter in the latest alpha.
the Font Scale is the default Blizzard dropdown font am not sure if i want to mess with that (i will have a look at it though)
also i need some feedback on the filters which i changed last night i think they are now easier to use but would love to hear from some users about them (they are in the latest alpha atm)
Would love to see a "Hide UnAffordable" Filter and maby Font Scale:) Awesome Addon Btw Thanks
SkOO~
After using ANY kind of filter, I am unable to buy an item. I have no idea why, but when I click on it, or choose to buy several - it just don't react.
Also, for visual refference, I would LOVE to have the addon behave like the filtering that Blizzard use on trade skills - like i.e. Blacksmithing, where you can choose "Mail" and "Head" slot... With those easy to use filtering options (I mean visually ofcourse - the dropdown boxes)
Thanks again.
The problem is, shouldn't the "Usable Items" filter show all items (that are usable for the char that visits the vendor) now?
I'm using 0.5.2b and the vendor window is completely empty if I use the "Filter All" option.
Is this the intended behaviour?
Regards,
highend
Take a look at my previous suggestions.
If it is difficult to implement that, I would atleast suggest a "deselect EVERYTHING" button next to the "Show All", so one can easily choose the i.e. the armor - plate, and then - item slot - hands - if you know that plate gloves is exactly the thing you want.
also if you haven't noticed there is a config to the addon where you can filter out things by default so if you are a clothy you can always filter out everything else. on that note i may need to add a config button to the dropdown for easy access
