This addon is a gold tracking addon like no other. Yes, it tracks your gold like many other similar addons, but this addon takes gold tracking a step further. Gold Tracker Plus keeps track of your gold accumulation across multiple timelines and categories. Ever want to know what your gold accumulation is while farming mobs in the world, but also would like to know how much gold you accumulate while in an instance? Gold Tracker Plus has you covered!

Not only does Gold Tracker Plus keep track of your gold accumulation based on the current month and year, it also archives all your month and year accumulation data! You have the ability to look at your history of gold accumulation from previous months and years.

Using Gold Tracker Plus

Using Gold Tracker Plus is very simple.

/gtp opens the interface
To view archived data, left-click "Archive" in the top-right corner of the window.

I use this addon and it does not open for me, I tried to use this addon with all the others turned off and still n opened, and I have Lib2
I think and because of the 1024x768 resolution

There are a few issues with the addon at the moment

The main one is the call for the date as the function has changed from 'CalendarGetDate()' to 'C_Calendar.GetDate()' in the API at some point in 2018. As the addon cannot find the date/time there is no way to record when any gold is made or spent.

Although I fixed that for myself and have a working version, I dont have the time to learn lua to fix all the other errors that its throwing.

So I installed the addon got an error saying it was missing a dependency installed said dependency and it still says its failed to load so here is the bug i get:

15x Error loading GoldTrackerPlus\LibStub\LibStub-1.0.2-70000.lua

Anyone know what the issue is I checked the libstub dependency and its installed.

I was wondering does it track how much you make with the auction house, also when does time reset? Does it go from the first day of the month to the last day or just 30 days in general, if you down loaded it on the 15th lets say does it goes to the 15th of the next month or will it reset on the first then take it 30 days from there?

Until there is a mini map button in the mean time I just made a simple macro and added to one of my action bars my preference for icon was a stack of gold seems fitting. By the way I love the addon.

Yes, I need the icon to minimap (with Minimap Button frame addon!).

And finally : I need the all characters by realm in choice and total. THAT IS the great importance.

Hey Nill!

Good to see that you're still interested in the project. I've taken bit of a break at the moment. I got a new job that didn't end up working out, so I'm trying to figure things out IRL and I don't want to burn myself out with the addon.

However, I have made a lot of progress on it and I'm very happy with my new UI design. Here's a sneak peek!

Things to keep in mind

The height of the window will be adjusted according to how many items will be listed in the final product.
The frames around the button at the top of the window are temporary and were used for button placement.

Current Status I'm done the functionality for the World, Instance, and Quest categories; granted there's still some bugs I'll have to fix. The vendor category will most likely be a copy/paste of the world/instance category with a couple added pieces of information.

unfortunately the addon does not work properly. when you sell an item and repurchase, you may sell it again, making the vendor statistic broken. it doesn't count gold received through missions. it would also be nice to "reset" the statistic for a "custom" category. and some quest gold rewards were not counted as well

Also, there is one little thing that annoyed me in the last version (13.3.2)...

PROJECT UPDATE

Hey guys, I'm still alive and working on the addon; not to worry! lol

I started building the new UI (and I'm liking how it looks so far), but while I was building it, I had a new gold tracking idea. Due to the complexity of this idea, I decided to put the UI building aside to ensure I can actually get my idea to work. Thankfully, I have gotten it to work, but I need a bit more testing to ensure its full scope of functionality.

This is a summary of said feature:

When looting an item in a specific zone, I wanted it to track the income of that item sale to the zone it originated from. An example as to why I wanted to do this is with my weekly old content raid farming for gold. I reference the session gold tracker that's built into ElvUI to show me the amount of gold I made from my Firelands run. Though, this amount includes the sales of all the epics I gathered from inside the raid.

So not only will this show your total amount of gold accumulated in any raid you run, but also any world zone you run!

Absolutely, I always welcome suggestions, and I'm glad you like the addon!

I'm definitely planning to add a minimap button; I personally love when addons provide the option.

I'm currently re-working the UI to be less clunky and more intuitive with layout and information display.

Hahaha, derp! Thanks, I forgot to make another change to the code also, so I'll definitely get r13.3.1 out later today.

Also, gold tracking information for the mail system is going to be collecting data in this recent revision. It required a lot of testing and I found and fixed a lot of bugs; here's hoping I found them all!

PROJECT UPDATE

I have completed the mail module for this addon and I'm pleased with how it has turned out. This is the information that is tracked:

Postage
Money Sent/Received
C.O.D. Paid/Received
History of Money/C.O.D. Transactions

The history keeps a track of which players you've sent/received gold and C.O.D. you've paid/recieved. It also tracks the dates of which these events occurred.

While this module has been completed, the UI still hasn't been adjusted. I'm going to attempt to re-design the UI to be less clunky and more intuitive.

One thing I noticed very quickly, is that it doesn't take long for the information to exceed the space given. Over the next week, I'm going to be cleaning up code and making some tweaks to the UI.
