This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Adds manabars to the sides of Grid frames.

Description

GridManaBars consist of two parts: a new bar indicator and a status which provides the power (mana, energy, rage, runepower) of an unit as a status. If you register the mana status with the bar indicator you get a mana bar (which should be set this way per default).

In case of Problems

Please use only the release versions of this addon! While I keep sure that every release version works with the latest Grid release I do not care if the latest alpha or beta versions do. I care even less if the latest alpha or beta of GridManaBars works with the latest alpha or beta of Grid. So if you encounter problems first make sure you are using the release version because if not it might happen I'll just ignore your ticket/question/whatever :-).

Note: GridManaBars has to hack itself somewhat into Grid in a way not supported by Grid. Most times this works well but it can cause trouble (especially after an update of Grid). So if you encounter any Problems with Grid and you have this addon installed try disabling GridManaBars before you create a ticket for Grid itself. If the problem disappears when you disable GridManaBars you can create a ticket for this addon instead for Grid itself. The authors of Grid have enough tickets to handle they don't need to handle tickets caused by this addon too.

As in, its not working besides being there. I can change the size and which end of the bar but can't change the color or anything =/

Perhaps update to 3.3 ? That would be lovely :)

Meaning that it doesnt report mana at all. Actually it doesnt even color the bar properly. It seems to still report rage/runic power ok, but mana does not work. It isnt 3.3 related as it only just broke with the recent update to Grid.

Hmm, thats strange since it works fine at my PC which makes finding the source for this problem really hard for me.
I uploaded a new version with only the toc updated for 3.3...but this shouldn't change anything.

Did you check if it works with an new an clean Grid (backup and delete WTF folder) and only Grid and GridManaBars enabled?

I had a similar problem, but the bars suddenly reappeared after I updated a batch of other Grid related addons, so it's probably an addon conflict.

I can't get this addon to work and I can't figure out why. I know I used it in the past but decided I didnt need it for a while. Now I cant get it to work with any version of Grid (the releases or any of the alpha versions).

I can't seem to make icons show up on my grid so I am guessing the problem is me, but does this give you any idea of what's going on to help?

Make sure the "Mana Bar" indicator under "Frames" is registered with the "mana" status (checkbox under "frames->mana bar->mana"). And nothing else is checked.

You can filter the manabar status through the ClassColor-filter of the addon "GridStatusControlPipes".

i updated to the latest version of grid and manabars but the manabars stay always by 100%. i only get the right level if i activate and deactivate the option Status->Mana->Ignore Non-Mana. my be the automatic update mechanism do not work.

Which exact Version of GridManaBars and Grid do you have?
Have you tried disabling every other addon except Grid and GridManaBars?
Have you tried to temporary remove your WTF folder (just rename it)?

In most times these steps help or at least the results can give me a better clue whats wrong (and whats not).
