GridManaBars
Adds manabars to the sides of Grid frames.
Description
GridManaBars consist of two parts: a new bar indicator and a status which provides the power (mana, energy, rage, runepower) of an unit as a status. If you register the mana status with the bar indicator you get a mana bar (which should be set this way per default).
In case of Problems
Please use only the release versions of this addon! While I keep sure that every release version works with the latest Grid release I do not care if the latest alpha or beta versions do. I care even less if the latest alpha or beta of GridManaBars works with the latest alpha or beta of Grid. So if you encounter problems first make sure you are using the release version because if not it might happen I'll just ignore your ticket/question/whatever :-).
Note: GridManaBars has to hack itself somewhat into Grid in a way not supported by Grid. Most times this works well but it can cause trouble (especially after an update of Grid). So if you encounter any Problems with Grid and you have this addon installed try disabling GridManaBars before you create a ticket for Grid itself. If the problem disappears when you disable GridManaBars you can create a ticket for this addon instead for Grid itself. The authors of Grid have enough tickets to handle they don't need to handle tickets caused by this addon too.
under Advanced you should see Mana Bar -once selected it allows you to place at bottom, top, left, right and how big it is
Would you mind telling me what you have selected under
/grid config -> Frame -> Mana Bar ? That's where mine isn't working anymore :(
I noticed 2 problems. In battlegrounds, the mana bars are showing up as empty for players who aren't from my realm. Also, the mana bars don't appear (battlegrounds or not) until I attempt to modfy the settings (for example, they won't appear until I toggle ignoring non mana users, or any other setting)
I've tried to modify the mod to run two copies, in hopes of having a bar for lifebloom on the bottom and a bar for rejuv on the top, but couldn't get a second copy to work. I was wondering if there is any way to make a standalone addon for this functionality, allowing multiple progress bars for HOTs, top, bottom, sides, or maybe even stacked bars (stacked 3 or 4 high, lifebloom, rejuv, regrowth, wild growth).
What do you mean with "stacked bars"?
Along the top, from left to right: Rejuv, Abolish Poison, Living Seed, Regrowth
And the bottom: Lifebloom, Lifebloom duration (text and mana bar), Wild Growth
The Mana Bar is set to Lifebloom Duration, and changes colors based on Lifebloom stacks (red=1, yellow=2, white=3).
I'd love to be able to have a second bar at the top, and to be able to set to a different hot (like rejuv). I really like the progress bar ticking down instead of just a number or icon indicator.
As for stacked bars, I mean adding another bar directly above the Lifebloom bar. That's prolly more complicated than just doing top and bottom of the frames tho.
I always see my own mana bar, but not most other peoples.
As I type I'm in a raid with about 14 people, and i can only see 1 other person's mana bar.
This is with the version of Grid and GridManaBars downloaded from Curse on 27th January.
That has nothing to do with this addon. It's from the recent Grid changes. Lock the window anchor and the Grid title goes away.

but when a non-mana joins the raid, i can see it;s energy/rage bar.
if i uncheck/check that option, the energy/rage bars disappear
